So Meghan lost her fathers number but is ringing round hospitals and will send a handwritten note, as per Sussex sources speaking through the Sun, the Telegraph and the Times.

I mean I have no idea, how it works with PR for very famous people, but surely there are scenarios they prep for?

Her dad is in his 80s, severely obese and has suffered ill health for years. You would think, there would be protocol in what to do should the worst happen.

That would include having up to date contact info. This isn’t something Meg would need to have/get involved with if she’s estranged, but surely ‘The Office of the DDOS’ would. Then engage in their set plan- whether that’s a public statement that this is a private affair or that contact has been made through the proper channels.

Whatever this is, it isn’t professional-it’s complete chaos.

I wonder if the trusted contact was DHL Express?

Can’t wait to read the letter which will have been crafted (like the other one she sent him) for a global audience to see MM in a golden glow!!!

Would be funny if TM called her bluff and didn’t mention it or the contents ….. tumbleweed …. How long would it take for MM to share it to the world. Everyone knows that each and every one of her actions is self interest - there will not be one drop of compassionate action for TM (I’m not judging her for NC) - but just word salad to protect her reputation and personal ‘brand’ so she can flog more groceries to make more $$$$.

It really is a Christmas pantomime that goes on all year. Never know what hilarious nonsense she will do or say next to keep us all entertained.

Thomas Markle and the rest of his family can decide who they want at the hospital. Maybe they would prefer M stays away.

I hope he learned from the last letter. Read it once and then burn it. No copies, so that any leaks can only come from one source.

Also, there was a delay while DHL had the royal crest reverently hand painted on the side of the van.

Thankfully the DHL driver passed his enhanced security checks ok.

But there was a panic when it was discovered the Royal Footman's uniform was a tad too tight, but President Marcos was kind enough to deploy his personal tailor to resolve that.

I sometimes wonder if she's lost her mind, Atlusvue ... it's very easy to believe the Mail may have the awful family on speed dial, but actually hanging around the bed throughout?
FWIW I neither know nor care if she's written to her father and wish they'd all have the dignity to keep schtum about it, but there seems little chance of that while the manic PR efforts continue

As for sensitive security info finding its way to Page 6, @Rhaidimiddim, I really don't think there's any "if" about it. Does anyone seriously imagine Harry would resist doing this if he thought there was the slightest chance of it supporting his endless cases?

If The Mail are there that is disgusting behaviour from them, vultures. If Thomas is too weak to send them away that's awful, if he is letting them stay that is yet another bad decision on his part and I can see why Meghan is frustrated.

My question is why is the hospital allowing journalists to hang out in his room??

It’s the fact that Megs thinks she can control the narrative to what she wants…..as if the DM aren’t going to correct her assertions.

Would that journalist be there or be Thomas's friend if there wasn't a story to be had?
I'm no fan of Harry or Meghan but this is disgusting, intrusive behaviour.
If there were no Meghan connection the journalist wouldn't be there. If the journalist was a decent person and genuinely there as a friend she'd be acting in Thomas's best-interests not printing stories and attempting to further destroy any reunion with his daughter.

Agreed. And where is his son in all of this? He is another vulture. He lives with the father and should be protecting him from DM vultures but he too just wants to be in the public eye. Hence when he announced erroneously that he was trapped after the earthquake, and am sure he is there at the bedside sanctioning these unethical interviews.

I do also think that this shows that to an extent, the RF approach of dont explain has its good side. They see to answer and explain everything and its not always working in their favour in terms of public perceptions.

Why did this journalist become friends with him in 2018 (when he was selling pictures)? Why is a journalist at his side? Sounds like Caroline G has manipulated and brainwashed Mr M into thinking she is a friend when she is just mining him, a vulnerable old man, for stories. Its easy when its on the other foot but imagine this happening to you? Sad that there is no one with Mr M's best interests at heart. Not his son, not his daughter and SIL (they could have taken him to Montecito all those years ago and certainly now), not his other daughter and he certainly looks like he cant protect himself. Poor man. What a way to live the last days of your life. Sad all around
