Why does Harry need to announce his visit to Canada ?

Harry has announced he will visit Canada for Invictus events .
The announcement is made while the POW is in Brazil undertaking important official business including representing KC at COP.
His spokesperson says the announcement had to be made at short notice for security reasons !
If this non working royal has security concerns , why announce it at all ?

No , nothing can be done now , the funds have been moved beyond any tracking that would normally be done on charity donations.
and I can’t recall now but I’m sure it wasn’t an insignificant sum.
