Why does Harry need to announce his visit to Canada ?

Harry has announced he will visit Canada for Invictus events .
The announcement is made while the POW is in Brazil undertaking important official business including representing KC at COP.
His spokesperson says the announcement had to be made at short notice for security reasons !
If this non working royal has security concerns , why announce it at all ?

I think the original plan was to set themselves up in Canada and have royal roles away from the meddling (as they saw it) of the men in grey suits in BP. The pandemic put paid to that. The owner of the house in Canada wanted it back as the world went into lockdown. They panicked and ended up in California. M was probably ecstatic to be in a mansion in her homeland but I don’t think Hollywood was H’s plan. That’s why he is so bitter. He never wanted to stop being a royal.

Well they have churned through 10 separate PR professionals in the past 5 years - so impossible to build and embed consistency of message, detail, direction and strategy with that level of staff attrition.

Interesting. I listened to the podcast he did with Hasan Minhaj, and I found it very hard going. Apart from the lack of substance to anything he said, there was a distinct absence of energy and enthusiasm in his delivery. It was quite a depressing performance.

Sophie met with elderly folks in hospital in Toronto recently and their families were included in the visit.
