If it pulls in any other members of the RF ( or their reputation) it wont even come out after his death. It will be another ' sealed for 100 years' job.

Precisely, RainbowBagels, and on that subject I believe there's also a lot to uncover about exactly how the RF are allowed to seal whatever doesn't suit - especially when a lot of it involves what might reasonably be expected to be public documents

ThePoshUns · 20/10/2025 14:15

RainbowBagels · 20/10/2025 13:44

I think the Andrew thing is more important to us though, as it involves our institutions. Not just the RF but the lengths the government and the establishment will go to to protect them. The thread is about Andrew taking the private information of someone who he apparently didn't know but had her social security number and date of birth and asked a police officer to dig up dirt on her. All his shady deals when he was a by all accounts dreadful ' trade envoy' all hidden away. This will come to nothing too. Its gone over just his sex addiction and lack of care about where hecwasxsticking his Royal dick.

Yes of course, in his interview with Emily Maitliss he couldn’t recall who she was…

Yes he has lied and lied over this. I think some people are wilfully ignoring this. Not just on mumsnet but listening to the radio there has been a lot of 'oh but hes not been found guilty/ he made a mistake/ shes a golddigger' when actually his poor behaviour over many years, enabled and facilitated by the Royals and our own institutions is becoming clearer and clearer. Much of it paid for by us and kept secret from us by Parliament. Its a bit like asking for more transparency in what the Royals are doing and about their tax affairs is drowned out by ' President Trump/ Blair' when actually it wouldnt requre us to have a Republic, just a country that doesnt protect the most powerful from the consequences of their own actions.

It’s really odd how you try to police any discussion on Harry and Meghan in relation to Andrew, what is it Meghan herself said? Silence is complicity?

I think she also said “the silent part is still part of the song” Wink

Well on that case...Charles, the Queen, William, Catherine etc have all been silent enough.

Perhaps Mwghan csnt aay anything if it strue she was gling to be called upon so legal advice would of been not to say anything..💁‍♀️

Timeforabitofpeace · 20/10/2025 19:56

@RainbowBagelsif he didn’t know who she was, why did he want police to dig dirt on her, and why did he apparently try to hire internet trolls to discredit her?

The man is plainly and clearly and now we know, provably a liar, and there should be a proper public investigation. Anything less looks like “one rule for them and another for us”.

But no one is up in arms when Charles, Anne, William etc are brought into the thread, just when Harry and Meghan are.

Mydahliasareshit · 20/10/2025 20:02

The Royal Family, specifically the Duke of Kent, are the head of freemasonry. The Met is riddled with them. So no, nothing will happen, nothing will be found, and whoever makes it go away will be a Sir in next year's Honours List.

Because unlike Harry & Meghan the others are active members of the RF on the public purse.

I'll bite

Kate Middleton has a daughter. I'm sure she is aware of the sordid allegations against Andrew years ago and the more specific, horrific details that are emerging now. Why hasn't she issued a statement to condemn trafficking and violence against women and clarifying what her position is? Isn't her life mission supporting the early years? Doesn't she understand safeguarding and child protection? Silence is complicit blah blah blah

How does that sound? Is that a justified criticism of Kate? Is it a fair thread derail?

AreYouSureAskedNaomi · 20/10/2025 20:08

Harry and Meghan are close to the Yorks, more so than any other in the family, it’s irrelevant wether they are working members of the RF or not, and Harry has cost the tax payer a lot of money recently with his various court cases and is still trying to get tax funded security even though the British courts threw it out, so not costing the British Tax payer doesn’t wash.

If you want to say that about Kate that’s absolutely fine if that’s how you feel why would that be a derail? It’s just your opinion on the situation 🤷🏻‍♀️

anamo · 20/10/2025 21:04

Camilla is a patron of charities supporting action on VAWGs. Will she speak up?

But her charities are about "domestic" violence, not trafficking. So I doubt it.

jumpingthehighjump · 20/10/2025 21:07

Eugenie's charity is about slavery and trafficking but not a word of course

^ This.

Currently there is a vote going through I think on whether the Met should be made to declare their freemasonry ties. This has been mooted before - back in Jan 2018, I recall. Nothing ever comes of it. London Mayor Sadiq Khan is against it - is he a freemason, then?
It is all very odd.

The difference though is that none of the other members of the RF have regularly publicly commented or criticised other members of the family in recent years. So they’re silent on this, which is consistent with their approach to be silent on all personal matters.

Harry and Meghan have made a career giving their opinions on other members of the royal family, and been liberal with their criticism. But silent on this issue.

that’s why it’s notable. If they’d not been so vocal on other family members, and if they’d not made comments about how silence is compliance, then their lack of comment on this wouldn’t draw any comment.

ThePoshUns · 20/10/2025 21:49

Exactly @elessar!

ThePoshUns · 20/10/2025 21:55

The Times have just published that Andrew has not paid any rent on Roy’s Lodge in 2 decades.
it looks like the money he paid for renovations is in lieu of any rent.
But still. He really needs to disappear and fast.

What about Harry and Meghan? They apparently are crusaders for children’s safety, why haven’t they made a statement?
or is lipgloss and pantyhose more important than children’s safety!

This from the Guardian
https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2025/oct/20/dealing-prince-andrew-problem-help-ease-william-accession-throne

Not only was William consulted but he also expressed concern about the effect of Andrew's presence at public events to sexual crime victims. William may also go further when king.

I can't see how even King William can remove Andrew from Royal Lodge. Legally that is for the Crown Estate and I suspect if the organisation wanted Andrew removed they could find evidence to remove him. For some reason they aren't doing that, i could understand that they might not want to upset the late Queen but surely now they can see it would be the right thing to do?

I think he will talk about making moves to make changes, maybe stripping titles here and there but bottom line is it's just more money going to less people doing less work
