The royal family

^ This.

Currently there is a vote going through I think on whether the Met should be made to declare their freemasonry ties. This has been mooted before - back in Jan 2018, I recall. Nothing ever comes of it. London Mayor Sadiq Khan is against it - is he a freemason, then?
It is all very odd.

In addition to which, it has not been made public knowledge which male Royal will take over from the Duke of Kent as head of the masons. He has been a dutiful Royal and, with the late Duchess, a great support to QE2. But he is clearly frail now, and this would be something the people would like to know.

Yes actually security of the country wise, the Chinese spy business, the shady associations with Turkish fraudsters, the kazakh dodgy billionnaire who bought his marital home, his trade envoy expoits etc etc. Its not just one 'error of judgment' in not noticing that very young girls wrre being paraded round his mates houses. Its a series of very shady behaviours ( at the very, very least) from a man who was protected at the highest levels by the Head of State and her government, against the National interest.

Honestly when you put the whole thing together it sounds like a terrible satire. But no- this is actually what our monarchy is. They need to get out of the gutter fast. If William & Kate don't step up to the plate I think they should all go.

RainbowBagels · 22/10/2025 19:17

Well you've got to laugh at BP saying ' Look at King Charles praying with The Pope! Its really really really really imporant and interesting!' and everyone deciding they will talk about what they like!

anamo · 22/10/2025 19:25

Maybe it's the lighting in the pics, but I don't think KC looks too well there getting off the plane.

Anyway, I doubt he'll have to go through the absolute crush of hundreds of thousands in St. Peter's Sq like I did a couple of weeks ago! Whatever I might think about the RF, this is historic in a way, and I hope their joint prayers bring about some good. Can't do any harm can it?

Obviously the solution is for Andrew to go to California and live with Harry.

Great idea !

NewAgeNewMe · 22/10/2025 20:59

I have a listened to a couple of podcasts where they said Andrew and Harry are known as the Dukes of Hazard. But I can’t remember who by.

This week has highlighted Parliament’s lack of scrutiny re the Royal Family is UNACCEPTABLE. They must be held to account like the rest of us.

This. Its disgraceful, and goes back a long way. Every PM/ first Minister etc just seems to crumble in the face of their demands. Who would have thought the SNP in Scotland would exempt TLQ from environmental legislation? No point having a Constitutional Monarchy if they are just serviced by democratically elected ( as much as they are) MP's who are meant to serve us. Im glad they are being called to account on this, and why they choose to refuse to discuss the RF in Parliament.

to be fair, Andrew’s DD has a place in Portugal- if someone overseas has to put Andrew up, surely that would be the obvious choice? The golf’s good in Portugal as well. Would keep him busy/reduce potential for mischief.

Nooo! My family have Portuguese descent. I was planning on getting a retirement home there. I haven't jumped through multiple hoops to get a Portuguese passport to live in a Royal Reject dumping ground! ( Andrew and Harry, not Eugenie!)

Agree entirely.

Kudos to Ed Davey and I hope he keeps going with this.
