He hasn't been stripped of his titles, he's just agreed not to use them.
In reality he was forced into it but was allowed to say it was his decision to save face.

Whether the officer complied?

Just trying to work.out the alleged criminal act (rather than the wrong and immoral act).

I wondered the same thing, it just seems like a lot of nonsense. I’m no defender of Andrew but I don’t see how asking a police officer who is close to you to find out if your accuser has a criminal record is dodgy. I don’t think that fact adds anything to the story. Obviously the answer should be sorry, I can’t help, and that’s that.

I do have firsthand experience of the police inappropriately using information when they knocked on my door demanding to speak to my 10 years + ex husband at a house my ex had never lived in, and which I had only lived in with my second husband in my new name. So they will use whatever means are available when it suits, even for extremely trivial matters. If the police officer has acted inappropriately or illegally it would be him being investigated surely?

I can see that faith is being placed in William to enforce much needed change and enable the Monarchy to start afresh. I hope he is up to that, but some of the signs are not good; he is even more secretive about his finances than Charles was, and has only ever done the barest minimum of work.

I agree that persuading Andrew not to use his fairytale titles (for now) is a woefully inadequate response to such grave allegations as corruption & complicity with sex trafficking. It all tells me that the Monarchy is just not capable of doing what is necessary to reform itself.

Well considering both H&M are close to the York daughters it’s perfectly acceptable to bring them into the discussion, particularly as the pair have been very vocal on the rest of the family and their shortcomings yet they remain silent with regards to the Yorks, other members of the RF are discussed in relation to Andrew so Harry and Meghan don’t get a free pass.

Both political parties have a vested interest in the Epstein scandal remaining on the other side of the Atlantic. And the US press are very, very, very silent on the very powerful men at the apex of the US government, with untold intelligence and military resources at their command...potentially subject to blackmail by Epstein.

Exactly - Andrew is a convenient scapegoat.

Presumably among those powerful men are newspaper editors who don't want their journalists asking the right questions.

I am not defending Andrew in any way. I am pointing out that this blanket coverage of him, while ignoring all the other names on lists, is very convenient, especially as he has not been found guilty of any crimes.

Separately to that, I do think KC3 should have dealt with Andrew more clearly. He has brought the institution of the monarchy into disrepute.

It is odd, how determined people are to shut down any mention of H+M given how pally the Yorks and the Sussexes are. They’ve really been each others’ only allies in the family for the last few years. It wasn’t so long ago that posters who suggested H+M had cut off his family were quickly corrected with reminders of how close they are with the Yorks. And yet now they shouldn’t even be mentioned. Strange.

I believe Eugenie was the only RF member to keep in contact with H&M. I understood that Eugenie was in MM social circle prior to meeting PH. In the doc they showed her visiting H&M in LA and they were reported to have visited her in Portugal. Then there has not been any evidence of further connection since she was seen with Piers Morgan …. which is fair enough!
