News banner from the Torygraph saying Andrew and Sarah are losing their titles. They will be ‘put into Abeyance’ Andrew also to lose the Order of the Garter. Sarah will be known as Sarah Ferguson, he retains ‘Prince’ as he is the son of HM QE2.

Stopping visitations of a church is going to be controversial as Christianity is based on the forgiveness of sin. 'lost sheep's etc. etc.

Being to ruthless to Andrews may undermine the message of future Kings speeches? Could be a little tricky.

It’s definitely going to be a minefield to navigate. Some have pointed out that you can’t exactly forbid someone from attending church, but you can ensure they don’t accompany the family or appear alongside them publicly (ie go in the side entrance before the others arrive). I suppose if Andrew is banned from Sandringham, he’ll have to worship privately at his local church instead.

If William (and Charles, assuming he doesn’t want to appear weak-willed), truly intend to be ruthless about the Andrew situation, then the only time we’re likely to see him again is at Charles’s funeral, and even then, hopefully somewhere discreet and out of sight.

@canklesmctacotits, this exactly. He’s not sorry, he doesn’t see why he should be sorry. I can believe he was not aware she was trafficked when he met her , but once he did know ? Nothing, no remorse, no genuine horror at what he had been party to.

it is however tricky for the rest of the RF. Charles doesn’t want to have to take up Parliamentry time dealing with this sleaze; A has a lease on his home and despite efforts it seems impossible to get him out. His income from KC3 has been cut, his security is not funded by KC3 (except that which covers the Windsor estate) . It’s pretty hard to ban him from Church. I don’t know about Police action, if that is a possibility - the publicity of Andrew on trial could hardly be worse than the current drip drip drip of ever more horrific revelations.

His dealings with the Chinese spy should be enough alone to get him kicked off the royal estate that he shares with the future heir. That makes him a security risk.

I just don’t believe there isn’t a way to remove him from that lodge and off the Royal estate.

Eugenies husband can find him an apartment at his Portugal timeshares and he can piss off there. He has no need for security out there and can play golf until his end of days.

Not using his titles doesn’t go far enough at all. It’s a very weak response to what they expect is going to come out over the coming weeks so they can say “We have already taken action” like that absolves them of further responsibility.

Agree with previous poster who suggested that Eugenie’s husband can find him a property in Portugal and he can move there (if they’ll have him). Living on the Windsor Estate just compounds his fully paid-up membership of the RF.

He had one job in life and that was to stay squeaky-clean which, in turn, would enable him to live a life of privilege and luxury. I have no doubt that it’s challenging making sure you only develop salubrious connections but nonetheless, he has failed in his duty. I’d like to see a more robust response from the RF, not some bumbling words about titles which have little impact on his lifestyle.

I am biased though. I’d get rid of the RF tomorrow if I could. Grifters.

Never in a million years would he do that! He actually thought a decade ago that he would ease himself back into full time royal life and all he has left now is living on a royal estate. It will be falling apart and ramshackle, but it is in 98 acre grounds and in his head he can still play lord of the manor and being royal

why is Sarah even involved with the RF ? she and A have been divorced for years. there is no reason for her to be at any royal event.
I get a bit annoyed with the oh he cant be banned from church stuff. I doubt he goes every week to pray. he just turns up to be front and centre at the royal church visit.

He hasn't lost his title. It's in abeyance. He can't use it. And he's still a Prince. So its all just a pointless meaningless announcement.

For those of us old enough to remember Andrew was called Randy Andy by the press. I wonder if it was just catchy as in it rhymed 🤢 or whether even then, the press were on to something.

I can believe before Epstein’s was convicted that he didn’t know, even though I bet security did, but afterwards Andrew should have distanced himself far far away.

I think this is the first time I have read someone defending Andrew on here and it is uncomfortable reading .
The titles in abeyance is a start but does not go far enough in my opinion and it is disappointing that KC is being so avoidant . I appreciate that he is ill but if that makes him unable to carry out his duty, maybe he should hand over to William ?
People criticise William but I detect a ruthless streak . Apparently Andrew was less than welcoming to Catherine so I suspect William will remember that .,
