The.Queen truly must be turning in her grave.

Why do you think that? She financed the pay off.

RainbowBagels · 18/10/2025 22:46

He'll be gone in 3 years. He is also Head of State. We have to pay for and endure the Head of State's sleazy brother and his ex wife for the rest of their lives.

It will be a long three years…

Yeah, but at that point she probably didn't know the extent of the lying. Im guessing he had her wrapped round his finger. Remember the rose between his teeth when he came back from rhe Falklands? Yuck.

So on Thurs we hear rumblings from the DM and the Sun that the King is looking at all options wirh Andrew. On Friday, Andrew releases his statement through BP that he won’t use his title.

Now the Sun and the Mail on Sunday as publishing even worse allegations! So clearly this was all a last min decision. Even William saying Andrew is banned from his coronation etc……It’s not enough

We now know Fergie was bankrolled for 15 years by Epstein and took her daughters with her to visit him after his release

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/royals/article-15205139/Epstein-bankrolled-Sarah-Ferguson-took-daughters-celebrate-release-prison.html

As well as Andrew trying to use a MET officer to try and dig up dirt.

The RF need to go further. They need them kicked out of the lodge and the title of Prince removed. He also needs to be kicked off the royal estate.

Epstein 'bankrolled Fergie for 15 years'

In the previously unseen emails, Epstein reveals Fergie was so desperate to cosy up to him that 'she was the first to celebrate' his release from jail 'with her two daughters in tow'.

What is it that needs to be done?

Other countries manage perfectly well with just one head of state, who may also have governing duties, and ribbons are still cut and charities still have patrons.

I wonder if william will bring in a retirement age for the monarch. I think that would be a good idea. Then younger royals could work hard knowing they have a cut off point.

Didn’t the photographer Arthur Edward’s say they were all over each other in the early days of the marriage? And Diana said they were the closest they had ever been in the months leading up to Harry’s birth? I think Diana was irrational and temperamental and Charles had no clue how to handle it.

But there was never a time Charles was not having an affair with Camilla.

From before he married Diana to after she died,

It’s appalling, to go begging to anyone for money, I cannot comprehend it. It’s stomach churning.

There's always gullible people and people who look for an easy way in life.

Didnt he threatened them ?

I literally can't wait to see what further revelations are doing to come out because we know they are going to be shocking!

If they are shocking then I wonder if the RF have done a wise thing in moving on Andrew's titles right now, @stillavid

Regardless of how Andrew feels about it, most seem to have twigged it's really just a cosmetic, face-saving exercise for the rest, so having shot their bolt they may need something else to overcome fresh headlines if they're truly bad

What could come out thats worse ? It's about as awful as it gets already.

It was inappropriate and regrettable but I think came from being extremely embarrassed about being questioned on such a personal matter. I would probably have said something equally crass in those circumstances. I’m very private and feel absolutely mortified When questioned about very personal matters, even just in a one to one conversation.

Yes, it was unfortunate and Charles has been crucified for it over the years but he’s a shy man in a very public role and I get it.

My take on it was that that was actually quite a ' trendy' thing to say back then. A lot of people used to say it. It was a way of trying to sound 'cool' about romantic stuff. I think he was just copying the trendy coz he didn't want to look romantic and, in his eyes, stupid. He's always fancied himself as a bit of an intellectual i think.

He said he stopped for a few years at the beginning of the marriage.

And I doubt very much whether the financial arrangements are 100% squeaky clean that move through the Delaware-registered ‘Archewell Foundation’. There’s also the matter of H’s charity involvements, a number of which are allegedly floating around tits-up territory.

Then there’s the Sussex friendship with the Yorks (all of them, not just Beatrice (37) and Eugenie (35)), and possibly some mutual tutelage around grifting and their beloved ‘birth right’ entitlement. I wonder how far back the friendships really go?

And as you say, Soho House - I’m curious about its funding and its client list, the role of Markus Anderson, and the role of M and latterly H.

Rich pickings for Lownie or a similar author.

They do seem vulgar..M.just doesn't get the royal.thing at all. They seem oddly immature considering they are in their 40s.

Thanks to whoever it was that recommended the book Entitled on audible. My eyebrows were moving further and further away from my eyes with every chapter.

As would anyone in her situation with the means to do so. It was pragmatic, doesn’t have any relevance to guilt or otherwise. Shocking how many people don’t understand this!!

That’s not true. There was a period where he broke off the affair to try to make his marriage work but he resumed it later (and I am pretty sure after Diana had her own affairs!)

Charles should have been allowed to marry Camilla in the first instance! It’s clear his heart has always been with her, and he has been a faithful husband to her!

You have no clue what’s true. None of us do.

Apparently New York City (named after a previous Duke of York) is to revert to New Amsterdam after the scandal......

seriously though I think surely now a lot of plaques have to be removed from buildings after this?

it sounds like the Royal Fmaily do need to completely distance Andrew now and for it to be seen to be done to protect the monadchy. I wonder if it would be legitimate to remove the title of Prince or have parliament enact a law to do so?

PersilPower · 19/10/2025 07:09

Andrew’s personalised car registration plate will need to be replaced too (it’s DOY)

The published emails and his interview are a matter of fact so yes he is guilty of that - Are you saying the language used by him in those cases justifies the vilification and vitriolic commentary? @jumpingthehighjump

Thank you. We got there in the end. Eventually
In answer to your second question...yes

ShenandoahRiver · 19/10/2025 07:23

So Ed Perkins, the Queen’s deputy press secretary, knew about Andrew and Virginia and was aware that he had asked his tax payer funded MET protection officer to dig up dirt on her with a view to smearing her. It’s fair to say that Ed Perkins informed the Queen I’d imagine.

jumpingthehighjump · 19/10/2025 07:42

Of course QE2 knew, I think it was in 2010 or maybe 2011 it was said that she had expressed some concern about Andrew's friendship with Epstein. Concern didn't cut it. She did nothing about it

The fact Sarah was continually pestering Epstein for more and more money in the most ingratiating emails is quite awful. Even he was getting sick of her! Sarah was even writing to Epstein after his release from prison saying she was on his team. And her taking Beatrice and Eugene need to celebrate his release from prison? My god. You couldn't make it up could you.

The pair of them are absolutely shameless and I would imagine they really don't care about all of this, they will only care that they have got found out. And there have only been minor repercussions in my opinion.

My dcs’ secondary school was opened by the DofY and the plaque was quietly removed years ago. It’s all very well A choosing to relinquish his titles etc. He was cancelled by the public years ago.

mids2019 · 19/10/2025 08:19

I wonder what Andrew's social circle looks like now and even whether he would consider emigrating to save the monarchy future hurt?

EmpressSisi · 19/10/2025 08:27

According to The Times, “ruthless” William plans to ban Andrew from all aspects of royal life (both public and private), including future family events and even his own coronation once he becomes King.

I’ll admit I have to eat a bit of humble pie here, because I genuinely thought Andrew was already excluded from such things, and that attending Sandringham Christmases or church walks were purely personal, family, and spiritual matters. Apparently not (very naive of me I know) if William intends to cut him out completely when he ascends the throne. So, to anyone I’ve previously debated this with — I was wrong.

Frankly, Charles is starting to look as weak willed and avoidant as his mother when it comes to confronting difficult situations. Thank goodness William (and the government) have stepped in. Although from this article and from everything specified on here, it’s not nearly enough.

The Times: William to ban Andrew from Coronation
