Is Meghan a narcissist?

I keep seeing these reels and social media smears on Meghan being a narcissist and abusive partner to Harry. She certainly doesn't seem overly popular with the royal family or understood the expectations of her as a royal when she married him.

I'm by no means a royalist or a fan of Megan's. But I'm the same age as Harry so always felt I could relate a little to him. I haven't read his book or watched the netflix docs.

The main thing that doesn't sit quite right for me is they wanted a 'private life' and then done anything but. Did Megan use Harry's desire for privacy to isolate him from his family and friends?

well I have never seen a photo of the wales kids when they are doing that suff either. so don't really get your point.

we see lots of candid photos of the royal children at horse shows etc. Zara’s too.

There are stories about them, though eg one time Catherine took G and C to Poundland for Crimbo Decs and G told C off for making a mess on the floor.

Meghan's ideal is shown in that latest spiel on insta. Her walking along with her crew in attendance on her way to spew her words of wisdom out to a waiting audience. She can talk about herself and how far she has come ( but let's ignore the bit between Suits and getting to Montecito). She is miked up and can let it all go about how brilliant she is . She's over the baby stuff now with her kids - as they grow they are of less use to her. It's all about her.

And presumably that Rupert Murdoch owns ITV, The Cut, Vanity Fair, Harpo Productions (better let Oprah know!), CBS, Netflix, the podcasts of Jamie Kern Lima and Emma Grede etc.

It’s a lovely narrative, this idea that Meghan actually is a super smart trad wife entrepreneur author content producer cook female founder tv presenter campaigner humanitarian fashionista (delete as appropriate) and all the negativity is down to Rupert Murdoch and not her own behaviour, but of course it’s a load of old shite.

the social media thing is more than just whether she posts her kids faces or not. I think there is a real danger of kids living their childhoods through a camera lens, experiences only being real if they’re performed, filtered and filmed. It’s where a lot of the self-conscious, anxious teenage behaviour comes from, not just living life but being filmed, documented and shared doing it, for likes and views.

it is very difficult to say SM is harmful and my child is never having a smartphone, while asking the kids to stir the jam or pick a rose while filming them with your smart phone for Instagram.

God help kids if fat or plain or go through an awkward stage etc as image & beauty are power & opportunity to M. To be plain or awkward is to fail. Who’s drumming the sensible love & common sense into the kids? To say a la Mrs Doubtfire ‘handsome is as handsome does’ etc, if Lilly preens too much?

Might I suggest ‘handsome is as handsome does’ for a kitchen sign instead of ‘Don’t try and win the part, win the room’ etc.

I sometimes wonder if York girls are so normal as they had down-to-earth, ‘good egg’ nannies doing all the parenting!

My post is explicit that H&M have provided mountains of content directly from themselves over the years across multiple media formats for anyone to make their own opinion….no need for the DM when you have authentic primary source evidence directly from the horses mouth to form an opinion.

No. But I would tell someone who for example chose to lie to the court that they have only themself to blame when they get called a liar. And then when everything they say get scrutinised, and further stretchings of the truth are revealed.

@ozarina I’ve scan read the thread but can’t see that anyone’s commented on the fact Meghan Markle ACTUALLY INVITED HERSELF! The Daily Mail published an article stating that she texted Pierpaolo Piccioli and asked if she could attend. He agreed and also agreed as per her request to keep it secret. There is also a podcast but I cannot find the link where PP stated the same.

I think the fact she invited herself to a Balenciagas fashion show is even worse than merely accepting an invite from a company with a stained reputation due to inappropriate sexual content that featured very young children.

It’s as if she is aiding them in raising their profile and being ‘rehabilitated’ and in doing so, her own previous conduct can be forgiven.

What a chasm between both statements, and people ask why Meghan is so disliked and why so many believe she is a narcissist!!!

@TheRealHousewife It has been mentioned. @Spectre8 claimed that Meghan had gone to support her "friend," Pierpaolo Piccioli, and there was nothing remotely hypocritical in her supporting a brand accused of using child SA imagery. I asked her what about Meghan supporting her actual friend, Missan Harriman, who had not only condemned Balenciaga back in 2022, but complained just last year about his friends staying silent on the matter. She didn't respond.

Well now we know that Meghan was not supporting her "friend", Pierpaolo- she was helping herself. And it appears that Pierpaolo barely knows her and didn't invite her, in stark contrast to her friend Missan, who has been one of her most vocal supporters for years. So far, no comment on this development from @Spectre8 .

We can probably safely assume that’s the end of the monochrome photographs.
