Is Meghan a narcissist?

I keep seeing these reels and social media smears on Meghan being a narcissist and abusive partner to Harry. She certainly doesn't seem overly popular with the royal family or understood the expectations of her as a royal when she married him.

I'm by no means a royalist or a fan of Megan's. But I'm the same age as Harry so always felt I could relate a little to him. I haven't read his book or watched the netflix docs.

The main thing that doesn't sit quite right for me is they wanted a 'private life' and then done anything but. Did Megan use Harry's desire for privacy to isolate him from his family and friends?

Was that just a “feeling” she had about the title being withheld due to race, or a blatant manipulation to look like the victim yet again?

she said on oprah that they’d had a vow exchange 3 days before her wedding with the Archbishop of Canterbury. She implied they were already married before their official wedding. This was undoubtedly intentional. You can call it lying or you can call it being economical with the truth.

That’s not what narcissism is.

I don't know enough about those labels to say if the label narcissist fits her. But she is obviously a very very difficult person to get along with.

She said Archie was not made a prince because of the colour of his skin. He actually wasn’t in line to be a prince at this time, nothing to do with his skin colour. He is now a prince because the queen died and he is now in the line of succession. This is the lie I am referring to.

Of course Markle is a narcissist. And a grifter. And a proven liar. She has torn the RF apart to gain the wealth & fame she craves and Harry is too thick and too deluded to see it.

Exactly this. I think she decided early on what type of lifestyle she wanted and realised she would need money/fame and set out to get it. Good for her, I love a woman with ambition that chases her dreams.

The problem comes from her trying to project a humble, traditional homemaker type image when that's just not her. It's not authentic and with celebrities being so under scrutiny these days the public can sniff out a fake from miles away. Its interesting to compare her to someone like Katie Price who is also a born hustler but is seen as the nations sweetheart (not on mn obviously!) mainly because she is who she is and wears her faults for the world to see.

I think if Megan built a brand that focused more on business/luxury/jet setting she would have been much more successful. No ones buying that trad wife shit.

@HedwigIsMySpiritAnimalNarcissus is a Greek God. It’s been in use for centuries to describe personality tendancy. The word was then used to describe Narcissitic Personality Disorder. Of course people can use it if they wish, it’s not just a word to describe a psychological state.

If you look up any of the clinic traits of a narcissistic personality she pretty much ticks all the boxes.

Once you see it you can’t help but notice it in everything she does.

Even her ‘speech’ on stage at the last ‘Invictus Games’ (why is she even on stage or relevant?) was all about her. In front of battle-scarred war veterans ffs. That’s peak narcissism.

How many normal adults are likely to have been brought up in that institution? Everything about the institution is unnatural. If they were ethnic we wouldn't be talking about tradition we would be talking about endogamy, outdated practices, sexism, misogyny, abuse of power, nepotism, and other indesirable/ unhealthy practices

She absolutely did not say that. That is what people inferred and when she said about the “real” wedding it was obviously she was speaking figuratively not literally. I know exactly what she meant at the time. The actual wedding was a fiasco just for public show as all royal wedding before and since have been.

Narcissus was a hunter not a god. He was very good looking and had many admirers who he rejected. He cruelly rejected a nymph (causing her demise) so the gods cursed him to fall inlove with his own image . He saw himself in a lake one day and was so absorbed he eventually died and a daffodil (narcissus) grew in that place.

The problem is the information we use to make these assumptions all come from the media a lot of that is one sided and sensationalised
all that said she does seem to fallout with and alienate herself from everyone the media, friends and family

The royal family is not value for money full stop. That wedding was a drop.in the ocean compared to how much money the family cost tax payers. They should be financially self sufficient by now.

I couldn’t say who in the royal family is or is not a narcissist. All I can say is that in my opinion many of the people who fixate on the royal family need to try and lead more fulfilling lives so that they’re not so invested in the lives of others.

I don’t think she is, no.But I think she was coldly ambitious and shrewd.

i think when she went into the royal family she believed her own hype, didn’t know how to deal with it, and thought she’d really made it big time, so she behaved in a bullying entitled way to anyone she deemed less that, she beleived she was this really big star who was now on an equal footing with the a listers like clooney.

life has now taught her some lessons, and I think she’s actually lost a lot of confidence, she appears nervous in public. And Harry I think is trying to save the day by rolling it back and getting back in with his family, as they have nothing else now.

I’m not in a position to diagnose anyone with a mental illness but it’s clear she has something not right about her. She’s maniacal at times, displays inappropriate smirking and when she speaks, no matter what the subject is she makes it about herself.

If I had to make a guess at what she is I would go for psychopath.

Hovel? None of the properties they have lived in have been hovels by any standard.

Ha, ha, Before Archie they were in Kensington Place and Frogmore is over 5000 sq ft. Hardly a hovel. The refurbishment of over £2m was paid for by the Queen but after they left they were asked to repay it..I assume because it was completed to their tastes and specification. £2m expenditure suggests it was a fairly luxurious place, don't you agree?

Meghan was the daughter of an award winning lighting director and grew up around studios. She went to a private school and daddy paid for college. I'm not sure what life you live but that sounds fairly privileged to me?
