Is Kate Middleton wearing a blonde WIG?

Saw pictures today of Catherine, The Princess of Wales at the Natural History Museum.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-15064693/Princess-Wales-natural-history-museum-return-work-summer.html

I’m glad to see her back to work and looking happy. I’m also stunned by how different her hair looks. I always admired her amazing brown hair, so the blonde is quite the shock. Maybe it’s the wind and the rain creating the effect, but it almost looks like she is wearing a wig?

Just to clarify, I understand she went through cancer treatment and that can affect the hair in many ways. If she is wearing a wig, I really really don’t see a problem with it. If anything, it would be such a boon to cancer patients and people with alopecia etc who do wear wigs frequently. They could see that even wearing a wig you could look as fabulous as Kate.

Either way what is your verdict, wig or her own hair? Does the blonde suit her or do you prefer her as a brunette?

For the Vote:
You are being unreasonable, Kate's hair is all her own.
You are NOT being unreasonable, it's defiantly a wig.

Also as a side note I love her outfit.

Good Heir Day! Kate returns to duties with blonde post-holiday hair

The Princess of Wales joined her husband Prince William to visit the Natural History Museum in London today as they returned to duties after their summer break.

Not all Royals are thin, you do realise? The plus-sized ones seem to manage just fine.

But the point is, a Queen or princess waiting to be consort would NEVER be chosen by an heir if they were morbidly obese. It just wouldn't happen.

Omg stop! It isn't body shaming. It's something that I have heard. Stop being so precious about every comment. I'm not body shaming her in the slightest, if anything I feel she is beautiful but far too thin. It's ok to talk about these things, and I know she's a cancer survivor I wasn't taking away from that. Sigh. You can't say anything these days. I'm certainly not abusive.

You should stop commenting on a woman’s body. That was a shameful comment. And you didn’t “hear it” anywhere—there is no such rumor. It’s not okay to talk about her body like that, especially about a woman who is recovering from chemotherapy for cancer. Focus on her clothes, her work, or her behavior—but not her body.

Were you with me when it was being discussed? In my line of work it certainly was discussed. How do you know it wasn't a rumour are you in every corner of the world? I'm a curvy girl myself, I didn't mean any harm by it, was just trying to show how shallow the world is. Not sure why you are so protective of her either.

It is body shaming and frankly most women are sick of it !
go back to all your posts and replace “ fat” with “thin” , re read and tell me it would be acceptable.

I'm very sorry if it caused offence. I was trying to make a point and obviously did so badly.

Are there any plus sized Royals? I can’t remember any…..

Henry VIII did ok...but then I'm not sure anyone would risk arguing with him.

Unless he was Jonathan Rhys Myers I guess 😋

CurlewKate · 09/09/2025 14:20

Wasn’t there one nicknamed the Flanders Mare? Body shaming alive and well in Tudor times….

DenizenOfAisleOfShame · 09/09/2025 14:32

I heard a rumour that Kate’s complexion, hair and general good looks are all maintained by her bathing in asses’ milk and drinking the blood of hand-picked virgins.

And because it’s a rumour it’s obviously to be taken seriously and posted as I see fit.

🙄

cumbriaisbest · 09/09/2025 14:41

Bloody sick of this body shaming thing. It woudl be nice to see a woman of regular womanly proportions. That's it.

He wasn't always a fat old man.

Well, quite.
You wouldn't happen to be in the line of work where odd rumours concerning laxatives virgins' blood etc are gossiped about, would you?
Because that would substantiate those rumours hugely.

Too thin for what though? She conceived, bore and give birth to three healthy babies in her thirties, when already people were moaning she was "too thin". Clearly she wasn't too thin for reproduction. Or is it just that she's too thin for fat people to feel good about being fat?

She's been ill and she was very slender to start with. Of course she's thin. And even if she hadn't been ill, not everyone piles on weight in their forties.

(I'm going to moan that her hair is "too thick and glossy" because I have dry straggly hair and I don't think she's a good role model for women with dry straggly hair. We can't identify with her 🙄 <- x 1000 )

myrtleWilson · 09/09/2025 14:49

Your line of work/work place is horrendously toxic @YourBrickTiger - I'd not be inclined to take notice of any such rumours shared in your work place

It is very unusual for any of the C\Katherine\Cathleen\Catriona names to be shortened to Cate, but Kate is not unusual at all. I know whereof I speak!

I know Cates and Cats. Cate would be far more logical than Kate for someone called Catherine. As an example what ever surname she uses her first initial is C not K so KM makes no sense.

No one ever called Anne of Cleves the “Flanders Mare” during her lifetime. For one thing, she wasn’t from Flanders at all! Shock horror: Anne came from the Duchy of Cleves (near modern-day Düsseldorf), whereas Flanders was (and still is) essentially French-speaking Belgium.

The insult was only pinned on her well over a century later by the cleric Gilbert Burnet in his history of the Reformation.

What Henry VIII did complain about was the “looseness of her breasts” and the “slackness of her body” (in other words he said she had saggy boobs and loose skin around her stomach). He used this as supposed “proof” that she wasn’t a virgin (no idea where he got that notion, and judging by his marital history, he didn’t exactly have a great track record of knowing who was a virgin and who wasn’t) and as an excuse for why he couldn’t consummate the marriage. The truth was he’d already taken against her when he tried to surprise her in disguise and she didn’t react to him with instant adoration. So much for love at first sight!

Funnily enough, Henry never turned that same critical eye on himself 🤔

Indeedy. It’s all the buzz at the Hammer Horror Fans’ Donkey Sanctuary where I work and where we all milk the jennies for sending to a mysterious destination in a van with a royal crest on it, as we discuss vampirism and its undoubted health benefits.

Totally substantiated.

I always thought this was just genius. If she had thrown off her knickers at the sight of this simpering stranger who accosted her en route to her meeting her future spouse, then he would have been delighted? He who had had his second wife beheaded on adultery charges? Bit muddled there of our usual completely sane and rational Henry.

Bound to be true. I heard that she goes round food banks and steals the bread and Rice Krispies.

Saying someone has a laxative addiction is really bad, though, can't you see that?
That's what you claimed about Kate.

What are regular womanly proportions?

Was about to say the same. I'm sick of people shaming slim women and saying their not 'real women' or 'regular women'. We're all different shapes and sizes. But the push of body confidence has gone the wrong way when we say real women are only those who are fat.

And I say that as someone who could do with losing a couple of stone.

Serenster · 09/09/2025 14:59

Quite. How fucking rude.

Is Paula Radcliffe "unwomanly"? Eilish McColgan? This is the kind of spiteful bullshit Eilish has to deal with all the time on her social media. Unlike Kate she can answer back and point out that if she was fat, she wouldn't be able to win medals.
