Is Kate Middleton wearing a blonde WIG?

Saw pictures today of Catherine, The Princess of Wales at the Natural History Museum.

I’m glad to see her back to work and looking happy. I’m also stunned by how different her hair looks. I always admired her amazing brown hair, so the blonde is quite the shock. Maybe it’s the wind and the rain creating the effect, but it almost looks like she is wearing a wig?

Just to clarify, I understand she went through cancer treatment and that can affect the hair in many ways. If she is wearing a wig, I really really don’t see a problem with it. If anything, it would be such a boon to cancer patients and people with alopecia etc who do wear wigs frequently. They could see that even wearing a wig you could look as fabulous as Kate.

Either way what is your verdict, wig or her own hair? Does the blonde suit her or do you prefer her as a brunette?

You are being unreasonable, Kate's hair is all her own.
You are NOT being unreasonable, it's defiantly a wig.

As for why she was there she is a Patron of the NHM.

I think it was simply the difference between being called one name by close friends and family and then deciding what to go by for formal occasions when stepping into a high profile public-facing role.

Between the engagment and the wedding she probably had to make a lot of decisions based on the fact that she was about to become a future queen.

I think they knew that they had to get people used to Catherine being her formal name so that Queen Catherine wouldn't sound odd when it came time.

She'll be the sixth Queen Catherine for England. I don't think there's ever been a Queen Kate anywhere.

I thought things reached a real low with all that business about the photoshopped hand. Then she had to come out and do that video and she looked so ill. I just thought it was unspeakably cruel.

What is going on? I have never seen Middleton get such negativity on MN. I am clutching my (fake) pearls in shock.

Would not call it negativity. Most posts are saying they like Kate but dont think the colour and length suit her and they prefer her with darker, shorter hair. Most criticism is for her hair stylist/colourist.
A few posts go too far, in my opinion.
And a few are just crazy, in my opinion.

I just saw some video footage and other photos and her hair looks totally normal, I think the photo on the steps was bad timing and her hair must have been tousled by the wind or she had been leaning over previously and it was still all pouffy.

Her hair looks lovely in the video footage, and she looks beautiful, William always looks gorgeous with a tan.

And the band played on.

Catherine Middleron always wore extensions, everyone with eyes can see, even though she tried to deny once, which is crazy. But this time she seems she is wearing doll extensions and look really sickly or at not well mentally .

Now what I wonder is who is the hairdresser that allowed it? Are they setting her up or she wanted to look like a MAGA wife? Because she is remembering Melania here

Spot on. Not every discussion about the matter springs from ignorance.

I think that she has changed her hair but not her clothes or makeup. As someone who naturally has dark blond hair I'd never choose to wear the colours she's wearing. So although her skin tone and eye colour obviously haven't changed she probably needs to choose different colours with that hair colour, e.g. a red shirt would have worked better than the white one.

She's a middle aged woman who presumably owns a mirror, her hairdresser isn't the boss of her and doesn't get the final day in what she is allowed to look like

I don’t think this was the best of the hairpieces she’s worn because her hair didn’t look as natural as it normally does. It seemed to overwhelm her a bit. But 99% of the time she gets it spot on, so one slightly offish hair day isn’t a bad record.

I hope she doesn’t see some of the more unkind comments made about how she looked that day, I do wonder how her mental health must be after the ordeal she and her family have gone through.

Well said. I agree, I couldn't find the right wording without coming across odd.
There is comparison.
Since white women started wearing hair extensions it opened the market, supply and demand issues, shaving the head of the poorer women in society for money.

I agree now she looks like our English that are in our town and cities partying in the weekends and in Benidorm. We salute her all she isissing is a whistle and a vodka shot WHOOP WHOOP.
