Maybe Charles and Harry want to reconcile and are trailing it to the public? Has Charles even seen the kids? Really, if Charles was any kind of father he wouldn't give a shit what the public thought if he wanted to try and see his son and grandchildren before he died. He's the King. He could tell the public to fuck off and give everyone a massive finger on the balcony and he'd still be King. Publicly as active members of the RF probably not but privately it's surely no ones business.

Do you understand how the Monarchy works? It only exists because we, the public, allow it to.

If Charles wants to reconcile privately with his son and his grandchildren , to me absolutely fine. Why this needs PR people , don't know. But just not let Harry have any part in the Royal Family ( with capitals - rather than the private royal family ) please ( my opinion) . H&M have told too many untruths and been too unkind to the instution and actually in their docuseries to the UK in general. I personally don't want to see them back. But I can see a grandfather wanting to reconcile with his son and his son's family. I just hope it is genuine on H's side and not because he's missing his paid for lifestyle and royal perks.

I doubt anyone would bother doing anything at all if Charles said he was inviting Harry to tea and he didn't care what anyone thought. Technically yes the family is there as long as we allow it, which is presumably why they go around doing their charity work but in reality, how many people would actually care enough to overthrow them? Half the population can't even be bothered to vote, and the government actually has some effect on our lives and actual power. The French, British ( American) and Russian Monarchies had real power they were abusing. Ours are decorative.

RF PR in overdrive. There not getting enough attention so need to keep themselves in the press to justify the amount of money they are paid. It’s just embarrassing, like an episode of Dynasty. They know exactly what they’re doing.

Reconciliation for Harry will involve Pa paying for his security , providing a free house and welcoming his wife back into the fold. Just for starters. There is no way Charles will agree to that and no way William will want Harry anywhere near him or his family again.

Therefore as simply ‘decorative’ we don’t need a revolution to overthrow them. All we do is cut the purse strings.

What kind of fucked up family sends PR reps for reconciliation talks for father and son. They need to meet where the wind does not pass and talk. Father to son. Each say their apologies and commit to working on this privately not with aides involved. Aides have their own agenda and dont care about breaking up this fragile family. And life is too short to cut off loved ones. They will need many many talks to establish trust on both sides. It will be a new and different relationship but surely it can be more positive than it is now. Both of side are hypocrites when they preach love and harmony and can't speak and reconcile over a fairly non issue. Idiots the lot of them

Rumours have been circulating for a while they are struggling for cash.

Not sure how handing out a trophy is ‘making headlines’. That’s part of her job, the same as the recent Macron visit, they are paid huge amounts of money and imo are looking less and less relevant and more and more greedy and entitled. Look at the recent press regarding their secret millions etc.

The country is on its knees and all we see is them on jollies ar Ascot, Wimbledon etc, oh and maybe giving advice on childcare (for which she had no qualifications) or talking about climate change whilst deciding if they’ll fly on a private jet to one of their many properties! You couldn’t make this stuff up!

Well, I am sure he misses the status and the perks including the VIP protection of being a so called working royal. I always wondered about the money and how long he’d have the ability to pay for the Montecito lifestyle with knobs on plus all the court cases with no visible income. Flogging a bit of jam, sorry, spread, sprinkles and vino won’t cut the mustard. He won’t get any change out of his brother, so he’s got to tap up his old dad. As he tastelessly pointed out, he doesn’t know how long his dad has got, so he’s had to get a move on.

Yeah Charles doesn't understand that without him acting like a father first and a public adoration hungry king last, his legacy is tarnished. 40 years from now people will judge him more harshly for not putting his son and grand kids before publicity.
