As per the DM, we are told Meg is using Fairwinds Estate winery for her rose. Sounds nice.
But a Reddit user has discovered, that Fairwinds winery is just a brand under the umbrella of Wine gift shop. They do corporate gifts and print on demand. Oh Meg, as ever

That’s the one, @Thedom ! It’s hilarious.

Profhilodisaster · 29/06/2025 21:23

Surely she won't pull another 'sold out in 30 minutes' stunt with the wine , especially as the cats out of the bag that she's just using drop shipping.

I mean, you can get Kylie Minogue Prosecco and Graham Norton Malbec….

And Snoop red wine 😳 it’s in Tesco if anyone wants to give it a shot!

🤣I genuinely thought it was Clint Eastwood ranch dressing! I make my own-I might start marketing it.

@CurlewKate woukd you mind sharing the recipe please? I love ranch dressing but don’t like the supermarket ones. 😞

Hopefully her recipe won't be too complicated.

This is starting to gain some traction on Twitter, an organisation that has James Holt of Archewell as an advisor. Definite strong leanings of politics. Archewell nor James holt should not be attached and as Archewell Harry and Meghan. But the tagline "Tools with values. Platforms with purpose. A digital future GenZ gets to shape—not just survive." Sounds so familiar.

More meaningless arrangement of words, isn't it?

Weepixie · 29/06/2025 22:57

It just looks so unnatural, I've picked apples and plums and maybe I'm not as graceful as Meghan, but I tend to put my whole hand over the fruit, not just my finger tips

It looks as if she’s changing a light bulb.

BasiliskStare · 29/06/2025 23:38

@Weepixie 😂 "It looks as if she’s changing a light bulb."

How many enhanced photos of a female founder does it take to pick an apricot?

OK I admit that doesn't quite work.

Paul Newman salad dressing is a good example that ultimately the product has to be good. It was a bit of a joke when it first came out but then people realised it was actually good. Most people under the age of 45 wouldn’t know who he is but it’s still in the supermarkets. I have some in my fridge. Don’t forget the profits went to a children’s charity. I note that M the philanthropist and humanitarian hasn’t declared she’s giving any of hers to good causes.

Showing my age but when I was at school (all girls school) there was a divide after Butch Cassidy (the film) - who is better looking , Paul Newman or Robert Redford. I was in the PN camp. And yes - it goes to charity. Also I quite like his why stop off for a hamburger thing/

Re the Rose - if it tastes nice and not stupidly overpriced I am sure it will sell. From the photos it looks quite pale which I prefer , the really pink ones always seem too sweet. But yes a crowded market and TBH I think where she is , is that some will buy it if they like it - Some will buy it because "As Ever / Meghan - But I do wonder if she is getting to the stage where some won't buy it because it is Meghan. But again if it tastes well in wines of that price it will sell I am sure.

Uricon2 · 30/06/2025 01:43

@BasiliskStare PN here too, but it's a damn close run thing. Oh the pretty, the pretty. My favourite film, I could pretend to like Ingmar Bergman or something else worthy but I really love BC&TSK.

Either of them could have sold used bin bags and there would have been a queue, IMHO.

This is the original ranch dressing recipe courtesy of the NY times. Americans do use lots of dry herbs. Like on the commenters for the recipe, I am a huge fan of Penzeys spices.

I'm a sucker for statistics and would love to see a breakdown of the demographic of buyers. My friend is a proper wine buff and I don't think she'd buy it, I wouldn't buy it out of principle, I'm sure some die hard fans will but even then I think it it would be dependent on price.

It's such a twee prop. As if she needs it there in the shade of the tree. Yes, that's why she's wearing it tweely on her back, holding the twee cord as she looks on tweely.

CoffeeCantata · 29/06/2025 14:41

Please - don’t let them come back - the horror!

The reason people are mocking her is because of her pretension. She has no genuine interest in, or skill, where food and drink is concerned but she’s posing as a connoisseur and lifestyle/food guru. Her As Ever products are not personal to her in any way. They’re generic white-label items with her labels stuck on. Meghan is doing interviews and putting out promotional SM giving a false impression of her involvement with these products.

i hope that answers your questions.

Genuine question - does it matter if it’s a ‘white label’ product? She’s just selling some stuff with marketing and whatnot, which is pretty normal. Regarding the wine, it has to be someone else’s wine with her label on as presumably starting her own vineyard isn’t on the plan for this year!

I had to look up what ranch dressing was. Sounds quite nice but still would prefer a caesar dressing I think.

Barefeetinthekitchen has great recipes for both. The ranch one looks long, but once I had all the herbs in I found myself making it so often that I have it pretty much memorised now.

I use the mayo + sour cream base for both, and leave out the milk / buttermilk for the ranch.

Genuine question - does it matter if it’s a ‘white label’ product?

It shouldn't matter at all, if she admitted that is what her business is, the consumer then has a choice, do they pay extra to have something that Meghan is promoting or do they buy the same mass produced item, just with a different label, and less expensive.

Ultimately the issue is, she is presenting her products as artisanal, special, unique, while they are nothing of the sort.

All smoke and mirrors, as with everything she seems to do..

Profhilodisaster · 30/06/2025 06:50

It sounds as though Netflix have set the whole thing up, Meghan's probably just had to sign a couple of forms and post photos to promote it. All her chat about how hard she's worked to get it up and running is disingenuous.

She marketed the whole thing as California. Her show WLM, was a love letter to Cali ( Which was why the show was delayed because of the fires). It had famous Cali chefs and Megs talks about her upbringing there.

The original name for the company- was American Rivera Orchard (Montecito) but she wasn’t allowed to TM but you can see what her intentions are.

Her As ever insta account, is all shot at home ..,in Montecito. That’s what she’s selling- a slice of lux California life.

Yet the jam is made thousands of miles away by a white label company known for working with NF.

Interestingly, they say this in the DM:

‘Last night a source close to Meghan confirmed to the Daily Mail that Republic of Tea makes her As Ever raspberry spread but said the supplier was changing.’

Why is she now changing supplier if she spent all that time developing the recipe????

What a disaster of a business, are they scrambling to change supplier now the provenance has been exposed as an industrial mass produced jam.
