But a Reddit user has discovered, that Fairwinds winery is just a brand under the umbrella of Wine gift shop. They do corporate gifts and print on demand. Oh Meg, as ever

I think Meghans main problem is that she is so conceited and pretentious, she comes across as a fraud and then she continues to be proven to be a fraud, She has such a strange and false persona that she cannot hide.

I hate to labour the point but I fail to see what other celebrities have launched has to do with the thread , and I will add that the main difference between these celebrities launches and Meghans is two major differences,
1 they are actually likeable.
2 they are more authentic.
Meghan is unfortunately lacking in both of these things.

No one expects a celebrity to stomp the grapes themselves to justify a branding deal. That doesn’t mean that a savvy partnership shouldn’t create a unique, quality product.

Meghan is trying to follow in the footsteps of Alba and Paltrow. They built solid businesses because they presented something people couldn’t find elsewhere, not because they put a label on something that already existed.

It doesn’t even have to be that unique. I have a stack of fabric from Reese Witherspoon’s line, Draper James, in my craft room because the patterns are bold and attractive. It’s the same cotton fabric other companies print on, but the designs were unique.

MM always forgets that, just like Diana, these celebs have built up good will amongst the public for many years. In the case of Kylie et al, through their talent as performers and because they are self depreciating, have brought a lot of people a lot of pleasure and memories, and are, yes, authentic, without having to labour the point because they just are.

That's what I keep thinking too. It makes no sense. *As a Sopranoesque front company or moneylaundering operation it would be pretty hopeless, let alone an actual source of income. Surely she could have done WLM to fulfil the Netflix contract, without ARO/As Ever.

Graham Norton is completely transparent that he partners with an existing vineyard in New Zealand - and they are also transparent about how involved he is the final blend of each varietal. Google “Invivowines” and Graham Norton to see (I can’t link to the website). Invivo also work with SJP, and are equally transparent about that.

If Rachel was genuinely trying to 'make a dollar and earn a living' from branding goods in abundant supply from third parties with her own label she would ensure enough initial stock to satisfy at least the majority of demand and regular re-stocking. Entirely basic business practice.

I had to look up what ranch dressing was. Sounds quite nice but still would prefer a caesar dressing I think.

It just looks so unnatural, I've picked apples and plums and maybe I'm not as graceful as Meghan, but I tend to put my whole hand over the fruit, not just my finger tips.
