Do you think some of you are addicted to hating Harry and Meghan?

More and more these manic threads are popping up on mumsnet, wild posts and theories and then hundreds of posts brimming with excitement about catching them out or exposing them. It’s like a game or a hunt. Have many of you crossed the line from interested to addicted?

I have to agree with you OP, people do seem more than interested and it perhaps does tip in to addiction on both sides of this debate. Are people really posting 60 times a day though? I do recognise some names here but I’d be surprised if posters post that often. Surely that’s exaggeration. I’m off to check.🤓

This is only your opinion. And really how does it affect you how many times a person posts?

It doesn’t matter and people can post what they like within talk guidelines but I was curious and didn’t believe that people were posting 60 times a day about Meghan and Harry. It turns out some people are so if OP has seen that I can see why she would ask if people think they’re addicted.

I mean, specifically targeting a poster, then going through their posting history and counting how many posts they average in a day (I’m guessing they’ve checked over a number of days for good practise), then going on to their next target….

Bit weird isn’t it? Almost a tad stalkerish. Very obsessive. If they do this to 60 members or 60 times does that make them addicted? 😉🤭

I’d love to screenshot posts to support that, but that would be against Mumsnet rules (as we have explained several times already) but quite honestly I wouldn’t want to target and shame any posters who aren’t even contributing to this thread.

Anyone is free to join a discussion on a public forum such as MN. Agree, disagree, argue your point - fine. But to question why people post is just ridiculous and tedious. How do you know what 'size' of lives anyone on here leads? What a sneery remark.

Thanks, but I’d really rather not risk falling foul of the rules (my post would almost certainly be reported and removed). And honestly, even if I did quote it, I suspect it would still somehow be dismissed or twisted, much like what seems to be happening now 🤭

Other people have verified that they have seen those types of threads, if you’re choosing not to see or acknowledge them, that’s on you.
