Meg’s era of joy

Showing up to support her very close friend who lost her child and also the children’s hospital at an evening gala. What a friend to have in the Duchess. Meghan was glowing, fresh faced, wore minimal makeup, was confidant and smiley. She was well spoken and supportive of the evening fund raiser when interviewed. Show Up, Do Good. Yes, she always does. Loved her look too.

Seems she showed up for the red carpet and then left. How supportive

AnnieMcFanny · 06/10/2024 23:08

She took the limelight from her friend on the red carpet. It was all about her.

Sorry, did she need to stay for the whole event? She did what was needed and got home to her kids. I’m sure her friend knew exactly when the Duchess would leave. Meanwhile, massive publicity for the event. Win.

Oh, a red carpet event and one of the world’s most famous person did her role on it. I saw no unhappy faces. Plenty of the usual comments of course from the usual mob.

Is that dress an altered version of one she's worn previously? The top looks the same but the skirt is different.

Obviously nothing wrong with this - just curious.

I'm sure the amount of make up a friend does or does not wear is super impactful to supporting them in the loss of their child.

How wonderful a friend appeared at a public event after the loss of someone's child.

I'm sure that would be a great comfort to anyone.

Era of Joy?

She’s so naturally beautiful - love that she isn’t caked in makeup.

Missing the point. Meg showed up lending her celebrity support. From my point of view it was also lovely to see the freedom from overly groomed and too much make up which is my opinion.

Apart from the nose job, veneers, filler, and what appears to be a recent eye lift, jury is out on whether her hair is her own, then yes she is naturally beautiful.

Liveheretoo · 06/10/2024 23:24

She can’t resist the red carpet and Harry seems so much happier going it alone. He has escaped!

Triplesec · 06/10/2024 23:26

This dress is definitely marmite for many. I’ve always liked it and its versatile functionality. I think the only aspect to it that I don’t really ‘get’ is the tucking around the nipple area. Of the two ways to wear the dress the latest red carpet outing for a charity fundraiser is definitely my preferred option. Red suits Meghan.

Why would she need to resist it?

American standards and optional beauty standards are quite different although becoming increasingly mainstream everywhere.

Teeth - pretty standard no big deal but her gnashers have always been great.
Nose - tweaked many do particularly in the entertainment industry and that is her background after private school and university.
Filler - maybe maybe not.
Hair - it’s her own.

All of the above does not detract from a slender frame, rocking the dress, beautiful skin, amazing smile and soulful eyes. Yes, minimal makeup.

She practically wore the same outfit as Lizzy Cundy at the same event, the woman Meghan asked to set her up with Ashley Cole, how embarrassing.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-13930283/Lizzie-Cundy-awkward-reunion-old-friend-Meghan-Markle-charity-gala.html

The word embarrassing is used so often and ridiculously that it is now meaningless.

That Meghan is. As ever she is blowing up X too with her latest lending of support and making headlines. 🤗

Everything sne does is for self promotion. Nobody is fooled.

I’m glad she is rewearing dresses, more of this should happen. Also glad she isn’t caked in make up, she looks better.

Again, charity and self promotion go hand in hand if you are in the world of celebrity. You say it as though she has committed some crime. Self promotion is not wrong.

I think the era of joy she expressed at the Godmother’s bookstore event after supporting this same friend at the tennis charitable event is something that we are seeing. Colombia onwards I’d say.
