Just musing, but once they get to adult age, would Harry's kids not be able to travel to the UK independently and meet up with their cousins/ rest of family if they want to? Do you think the UK cousins, and I'm including Zara's kids here, would want to meet them?

Quite. She's hardly got the temperament, ability or skill base.
I think the Trad Wife/influencer thing is more her bag.

err Trump...

err Trump...

He's got grit and determination. He's very forthright. I don't like him, but he's got drive and push.
Meghan collapses on the floor sobbing about bridesmaids dresses and someone criticising her for eating avocados. She'd last 2 mins.

Serenster · 04/05/2025 16:19

Meghan said in her latest podcast though that she would never run for public office. So that’s unlikely.

It’s even more unlikely that she’d have a snowball’s chance in hell of winning if she did 😆

BemusedAmerican · 04/05/2025 16:55

The entire White House Press Corp would quit enmasse because of Harry. The entire White House staff would quit because of Meghan. Then Harry will really have to get food deliveries. In my opinion, of course.

It would make a great reality TV show.

It will take two side to want to make a relationship work.
A lot depends on how H&M are behaving in 10 years time, if they are still estranged and not trusted. Then the kids will be kept at arms length.

10 years time there is a reasonable chance William will be King.
So there is a good chance the families will have mingled at Funeral and Coronation.

I would be amazed if they are invited to William’s Coronation.,

A vindictive, petty King from the off is the last thing the country needs. If they can't sort out their own family quarells it's hardly a "royal" family.

After all the nasty comments thrown about William and Catherine, I think they would be justified in not inviting them .
Meghan’s jealousy of Catherine and her clear dislike of Charlotte is so obvious and deeply unpleasant.

"Royal" is a description of status, not a personality attribute.

Ah, I'd love it if they were invited! ☺️ They're so entertaining 😂!
Anyone else remember the Coronation with Harry staggering up the aisle in Westminster Abbey in that crumpled suit, winking and nodding at everyone, and the lip reader catching what he said to Jack Brooksbank, more petty complaints about the family?
Also: Princess Anne's plume. Genius 😂😂

MagdaLenor · 04/05/2025 17:10

Also, the candle at the late Queen's funeral..

sofiamofia · 04/05/2025 17:16

They're certainly being brought up to think that being online is important, they're photographed for the Instagram every day, and frequently filmed. That's their life. Shared online.

Such nonsense! I wouldn't recognise Harry's kids if they walked past me on the street.

Will and Kate on the other hand are quite happy to hawk their children's lives in order to keep their subjects interested. That's why they share private photos online taken by their mother rather than official engagement photos - they know they need to let people feel they are seeing a glimpse into their private lives. Poor children - imagine their parents bringing them out for a lovely walk in the countryside but really it's just an opportunity for self-promotion with photos and "candid" videos.

They're letting history repeat itself by putting Louis in the "cheeky scamp" role just as Harry was portrayed by the media. I can see Louis leaving the Firm in the future in a similar way to Harry. Will and George will let it happen because nothing is more important than the survival of the institution.

How on earth does she dislike Charlotte? Is this just because that dress didn’t fit?
Charlotte is a child.

Indeed she is a child . A child that Meghan didn’t want as part of her wedding party ( nor George) until the late Queen insisted . A child who Meghan - allegedly- compared unfavourably to Jessica Mulloney’s daughter.
Did you not note how W and C kept a tight grip of G and C after the wedding ?

BunnyLake · 04/05/2025 17:23

I feel sorry for those kids. They have two very self absorbed parents who haven’t really thought about how their behaviour will affect the kids as they get older and go to school and their teenage years. Although they’ll probably go to a very posh private school where lots of kids have rich but dysfunctional parents so maybe they’ll just blend in.

I would think it’s very likely they’ll do a lot of googling when they’re teens. If they have a fractious relationship with either (or both) parents they might well seek out their British family. This day and age of googling and streaming mean H&M can’t just give their side of the story and be done with it.

Louis is 7.
You have no idea if he will do what Harry has done. How awful to suggest that a young child would choose to live like Harry - a life of arrogance, self pity, greed and mendacity. That he would sell family secrets and lie about his loved ones. He will, in all likelihood, be very different to his unprincipled, grasping uncle.

Not acquainted with British/European history then?

Emilysmum90 · 04/05/2025 17:27

By the time those children are grown up H&M will have split up, I'd bet the farm on that. She is already carving herself a social media / TV career that largely does not seem to include him. I think she'll get bored and dump him fairly quick. Let's face it he's insufferably boring.

The kids will see their dad occasionally and their dad's family practically never.

But that's just my guesstimate.

Mmm, maybe, but doesn't she absolutely love the royal titles and status? Hasn't marrying a prince made her famous, privileged and wealthy? What is Meghan without that?

I agree. As much as I am not a fan of hers at least she’s got some life in her and her rictus smile is a darn sight better than his permanent scowl. My bet is she’s already bored shitless with him.

I don’t think she even needs to stay married to him for that anymore. Look at the Duchess of York.

allthemiddlechildrenoftheworld · 04/05/2025 17:39

@Coatigan Also they will have cousins on their mother's side who are geographically much closer. funnily enough, meghan keeps saying she is an only child!! any "cousins" on her side are not full cousins either!! there are only 3 full cousins to archie and lil and they are george charlotte and louis!! I doubt they would ever want to keep in contact after what harry and meghan have said and done over the past 6 years!

Too true, I was just thinking about Invictus, which she loves.
It's her fashion show and she makes a speech and must feel important. She'd not want to drop that gig, there's a lot of clicks there.

An annual photo of the Wales children prevents foreign paparazzi stalking them , getting a photo and getting paid mega bucks for the exclusive.

They also have to get used to being photographed and filmed. Easier to start when they are kids rather than start when they are adults and have anxiety about being in public.

Yanbu about assigning Louis the cheeky label when he is a child though.

She might find she doesn’t need it. She has her Instagram which means she’s getting headlines on an almost daily basis and, although she’s quite barmy (imo), her talking about herself is at least relatively entertaining in comparison to dullard Harry’s monotone rantings. Invictus is in the UK next so I don’t see how she can attend that one. I think she would actually do a lot better solo without that weight dragging her down (and I’m not even a fan). She will still wring those titles dry whether she’s married or not, only until she remarries will she not be able to use them (and she’ll only marry someone super rich).
