The royal family

Why is Sarah Ferguson at the Easter service?

I am really perplexed about why SF attends all Royal events since the death of the Queen when Andrew
is present. She behaves like his wife but she isn’t his wife. What on earth is going on? I cannot think of another situation like this where an ex wife lives with her ex husband and attends all public events with him as though they are still married. It’s bizarre.

I am more bothered that William, who will be the next head of the Church, couldn’t be arsed showing up in one of the major religious festivals.

It makes me wonder if Kate isn't doing so well, so weird is it for him to miss the most important event in the Christian calendar, given that he's the next head of the church. But I think he's indicated recently that he has no faith. He's never seen going to church, ever. I'm very unimpressed; it's his job, and is why he has all the crazy riches that he does. He should go to church at Easter, and some Sundays, if not every one, and keep his lack of faith to himself.

She was just skiing!

I don't think he's religious

Please not this again. Last thing we need is a new round of Kate-hysteria.

Needspaceforlego · 21/04/2025 01:04

I don't think it's Kate that's not doing so well. I think it's Charles. They've never said how he is good or bad.

Needspaceforlego · 21/04/2025 00:45

I didn't say it was the worse.
But they've never disrespected others privacy. Discussed other mens private parts. Or moaned about tax payers paying or not paying their security

Erm, I'd say having sex with under-age girls and being friends with a paedo is a pretty good way to disrespect your family!

He doesn't have a choice though. If he wants to duck out of being Head of the Church of England too, that's a lot of 'Royalling' he has already said he is going to duck out of, even before he is King. What is he going to do?

I'd thought for ages they'd remarry at some point but I just don't think it's ever been the right time. (ill feeling from PP then the Epstein stuff)

All the cancer treatments over the last year, Sarah, Kate and Charles has probably brought all of them much closer together.

There are a surprising number of divorced couples out there who, seem to get on better not being married.

Not matter what stupid stuff either Sarah or Andrew have done they have never spoken badly of the RF or complained about how they are treated.

That's also probably because they know what side their bread is buttered on. Can't see either of them willing to cut ties and live on their own two feet with no funding from taxpayers.

I might be wrong, but wasn't it Henry the Eighth who made himself the head of Church so he could get divorced? So it's all BS anyway. They all just do what they want to suit their needs.

I'm not sure what they do but I don't think he will be 'Royalling' like his dad or gran. Has he ever had a strong work ethic?

sofasoda · 21/04/2025 01:16

@Tbrh nah, not if you haven't moaned about tax...

He should be the one relaxing & resting

Correct.

Although we're now 500 years into the existence Church of England and the monarch as it's head so it has taken on meaning.

It's time the Church reconsidered who the Head is though, it's unlikely William will be the last of irreligious monarchs and so it doesn't seem appropriate that headship remain with the monarch anymore.

Sorry I actually quoted the wrong post 😆 was talking about why Andrew keeps his head down and his mouth shut

sofasoda · 21/04/2025 01:23

Perhaps William is just setting the boundaries for what he will be doing or not doing when he's king.

She has no money.

She does have money now though - she bought a place?

There are only so many boundaries he can set before people ask what the point of him is though. The Late Queen had loads of relatives on the payroll, Charles has his siblings and the Wales'. William will only have his nuclear family. Him choosing not to do anything but go on holidays and to the footy is not really going to cut it.

Wasn't it reported that Beatrice & Eugenie bought it for her?

To say that Fergie is notoriously bad with money is putting it lightly.

Why are people acting like they haven't just been skiing? So they have had family time and skiing is fairly strenuous so health can't be too much of a concern...

And skiing might have taken its toll on the PoW so that she needs to rest??? Is that beyond the realms of compassion?!

Only he didn't. He was accused of having sex with ONE 17 year old. Get your facts straight!

I think that's already happening, there is only so long that the panto villains H&M can be a distraction.

VivienneDelacroix · 21/04/2025 01:36

I'd much rather see SF there than her disgusting ex husband.
Goodness knows what goes on in that family though. The RF don't do things how we do - throughout history they've shown us their proclivities, vulgarities, and criminality - and continue to do so.

sofasoda · 21/04/2025 01:37

Why does her resting mean William can't go to church? he managed to get to the footie. Just engage the brain...

She lives with Andrew
