The royal family

Why is Sarah Ferguson at the Easter service?

Lazycatsitsonthemat · 20/04/2025 22:29

I am really perplexed about why SF attends all Royal events since the death of the Queen when Andrew
is present. She behaves like his wife but she isn’t his wife. What on earth is going on? I cannot think of another situation like this where an ex wife lives with her ex husband and attends all public events with him as though they are still married. It’s bizarre.

Was there ever a Nostradamus prediction about two church systems both without their heads - are we to be on the look out for a earthbound meteor??

Do we need to consult the blind woman or the octopus?

If you are going to criticise anyone, can you please do it on the basis of facts?

I'm unimpressed by William this Easter. That's a fact!

mainecooncatonahottinroof · 22/04/2025 18:05

You are making crap up - yet you're lecturing posters about "standards"??

People who base their opinions on actual fact "garner more respect than those who don't"!

Such a load of bollocks.

It's a fact that William didn't go to the big Easter service with the rest of his family, no?

"Bollocks" - another beautiful word. 🙄

As ever, lying about people is a demonstration of very low standards...subterranean even. But that is all the bird tennis brigade has left...lies, more lies and absolute truthiness.

Paul the octopus! Wow, that’s a blast from
the past I wasn’t expecting!

I’m not a republican or a Harry fan. I don’t have an agenda and I’m not trying to destabilise the monarchy. I’m one person with a lot of opinions. I can simultaneously think that Andrew is an arsehole, Harry’s a spoilt brat and William looks miserable all the time, while actually quite liking the monarchy as an institution and liking Charles. Oh, and I think Kate is boring and that they should do all school runs in the golden coach drawn by 6 white horses.

Sorry, you sound quite normal. You’ve come to the wrong thread.

YABVVR to suggest that the school run is done in golden carriages with white horses. That would be beautiful. 😍Totally here for that!

You remind me of Oliver Cromwell from the King of Bling song from Horrible Histories.

“Old Olly wasn't jolly
He was glum, and he was proud
Would be miserable as sin
Only sinning's not allowed!”

I’d rather party with the King of Bling than be miserable and worrying about society’s standards.

I don't see that giving him any cause for concern.

IMO, the future head of the church should have been with the king at the Windsor service on Easter Sunday.

It's hardly a controversial opinion, is it!

No, he doesn't seem to care much for public opinion, not like his grandmother did.

It’s not the most rational opinion though. Is it? No precedence, no need (except to satisfy you and only your wants and needs).

I think we all know that at this point.

In most other posters' opinions, you're wrong.

How can it be wrong when it's just an opinion?

And the press and palace seem to hold the same opinion.

Think they would be happy living back in the medieval times! They burned heretics back then. It would give them an excuse to set William on fire 🤣

The press has been full of how the royals always celebrate together at Windsor and eat together after. If it's true that Charles missed this for 18 years, that's a bit odd.

Anyway, this is getting insanely boring. I think W should have gone and that it's a poor show that he didn't. That's my opinion and I'm perfectly entitled to it. I have no idea why PP are so appalled by this opinion. I don't have to have the same opinion as the thread-majority, and neither does a thread majority confer rightness.

It's too tedious to continue now, I think many will agree!

Noooo, I would never set William on fire! I luv him.

Harry, on the other hand...😬

NewAgeNewMe · 22/04/2025 18:57

This is all very odd. William should go to church. He goes with his family and in laws. But it’s the wrong church! It should have been the Abbey where the rest of the RF were according to some posters, even though the RF were in Windsor. At least William gets on with his in laws!

Anyway, William is representing the King at the Pope’s funeral if anyone is interested 🤷‍♀️

Yes, I saw that smilesy and good luck to him among the hoo-ha

Apparently one of the jesuit values is living in a simple manner, and since Francis was himself a jesuit it'll be interesting to see what the vatican do for his funeral

Like Prince Philip insisting on a no-frills funeral. I mean, I know it was Covid anyway, but he wanted his Land Rover instead of a gun carriage and that's what he got.

Agree it will be interesting to see what the Vatican does.
