The royal family

Harry and RAVEC - claims he was trapped by RF

Okay. So first of all thanks to everyone on the last thread for a really civilised discussion about Harry and his security. The Telegraph has an exclusive article where Harry claims that his security was removed to “trap” him in the RF. I’m really sorry but for some reason I am unable to archive Telegraph articles at the moment. Could anyone help?

When the Duke and Duchess announced their plans to start a new life abroad, they were told their round-the-clock taxpayer-funded security provision would be withdrawn.

This, they believed, was an attempt to prevent them from leaving, to force their hands

So it’s not a fact at all just Harry’s interpretation that because he was informed that if he left life as a working royal his security would be removed, he equates that information with that it was all a big plan to lock him and Meghan in the Tower of London slaving for the royal family 🙄

It seems they have put two and two together and made 50 000. And again assumed victim status

And his fans on here will run with it as well, claiming it as fact when it is anything but.

She won't, she's got what she wanted.

Someone else apart from his family need to even if it’s the PM. He’s delusional. He needs to grow up. Who leaves a job and keeps the perks?

He doesn’t need to come to the U.K. He’s made his bed and needs to lie in it. God I feel for the RF so much they must be worried and exasperated at the same time.

Not2identifying · 11/04/2025 22:41

Harry's assumptions:

  1. I'll have security all my life. And he failed to notice three of the late Queen's children didn't have security for life.
  2. The late Queen and the then Prince Charles could have ordered the Gov't to provide security. He apparently still hasn't realised that not only is that not how it works but QEII did write to ask (not order) that he keep his security so they supported his request.
  3. They want me to stay so much, they were willing to put my life at risk so that I'd be trapped in the RF. They would have known he was a massive and noisy liability and would almost certainly have wanted him to leave the UK - just like the Duke of Windsor lived in exile). And they wouldn't want his life at risk, not least because, certainly before he made all this fuss, he would have been venerated if anything had happened to him, Meghan or the kids.

His conduct and lack of judgement continues to shock me. Accusing the RF of conspiring against him (he essentially is a conspiracy theorist), accusing them of leaking to the press - he's got a bad case of projection. He just seems to be a really horrible person.

He can fool some of the people some of the time that the UK denies him security, but he can't fool all of the people all of the time.

BigWillyLittleTodger · 11/04/2025 22:44

The King, he has made clear, is the one person he believes can bring an end to this nightmare in which he has become so deeply ensconced.

If his security were restored, it would be “swords down”, friends have said.
Royal sources insist that it would be”wholly inappropriate” for the monarch to intervene in a judicial process, regardless of the fact that Sir Clive sits on the committee

So basically unless Harry gets his own way on security he’s going to scream and scream until he’s sick. I really hope the King and the men in grey suits don’t bow down to his blackmailing ways, I wasn’t particularly impressed with the Queen writing a letter to the security services prior to them leaving and she wasn’t as emotionally involved as Charles.

SoNotaRealHousewife · 11/04/2025 22:45

It’s unbelievable, every chance he gets this man takes a swipe at his family

TheNeedyKhakiPanda · 11/04/2025 22:48

This never complain, never explain is really pissing Harry off isn't it.

My guess is that the Queen did that to placate Harry but knew that he wouldn't get his way. But that she was prepared to support his request - arguably pushing at the boundaries of her role - shows how loved he was.

BigWillyLittleTodger · 11/04/2025 22:51

There would be nothing stopping him talking publicly about the experience and what he has learnt, putting together the pieces of the puzzle, writing a second book or making a podcast.

And there is his not so veiled threat.

SoNotaRealHousewife · 11/04/2025 22:53

There is an increasing level of paranoia there, quite worryingly so

Agreed. But much like Meghan’s “no one can stop me from talking” threat, is there anything actually behind this or will it turn out that he has been offended by something that doesn’t really matter in the scheme of things?

RAVEC is not in the business of providing emotional support security. H's feelings on how safe he is are irrelevant to the decision-making calculus...as they well should be. RAVEC uses facts and hard intelligence...as they should.

The Firm is not in the business of providing emotional support status. H's feelings of importance or lack thereof are also irrelevant to the decision-making calculus which centers on what is best for the monarchy.

Given that H thought that announcing that his family of origin followed a hierarchy was a big reveal, I rather doubt the alleged revelations about his security amount to much more than a "hill of beans in this crazy world". H needs to find a foothold on reality sooner rather than later while indulgent "Pa" is still around. And he needs to stop running his mouth with the press!

SoNotaRealHousewife · 11/04/2025 22:58

While Harry is suing the government and throwing out more bitter accusations about his family his brother is watching football and very obviously having a lovely time with his son , so who really has made the “ happy house”?

Thedom · 11/04/2025 23:02

Harry really hates his father, he can never not throw out accusations against him.

He will make something up to suit his narrative as this Telegraph article proves, I’m presuming he’s been told this court case is unlikely to rule in his favour, hence this public hissy fit hit piece, “do as I demand or else” a warning shot that if it doesn’t go his way there will be more trouble ahead. He’s basically trying to sway the decision in his favour by threats, bullying as it’s also known as, now where have I heard that before? 🤔

He really does doesn’t he, poor Charles, probably has cancer that cannot be cured and a son who despises him and so publicly, I don’t know how Harry can sleep at night, he must be void of all empathy, there is something seriously wrong with him.

I came on to make this point too - the entire article is a message/threat to his family. It says he hasn’t spoken to The King or POW in months, so this is his only way to pass the message along. That he believes the King can intervene in the matter - the article says this at least twice! Bad writing, but in my view points to how it must have been emphasised to the author, via the source (Harry). It also carries the ‘carrot’ - Harry would be prepared to lay down his sword and get on with everyone if they get security. And the plans/threats, if he doesn’t - he’ll write another book, make a podcast, spill any and all secrets and generally be a thorn in their side.

The entire article is not for you/I/the public. It’s a message to the Royal Family and advisors.

I am growing more impressed by the entire teams that must have been involved in protecting his image and hiding the extent of his batshittery and follies all those years he was "in" the RF.

drowning help me GIF

There was a lot of minimising and indeed concealment. However, before Meghan, Harry still had support systems and occupations : his regimental patronages, the involvement with Invictus when it was still focused on British (and US) veterans of recent conflicts, the charity ‘initiatives’ with W&C. He also had sensible ‘girlfriends’ (although the sentiment was eventually not reciprocated ) and he had friends with whom he could enjoy the traditional pastimes of the rich and not terrifically intellectual : shooting, fishing, horse sports.

I thought that the outcome looked bleak when Meghan lectured the shooting party on animal rights, and disrupted it. ( I know MN does not approve of blood sports, but Harry did and they are not all terrible IMHO). He was cut adrift, and now he is ‘not waving but drowning’,

StartupRepair · 11/04/2025 23:28

Meanwhile Meghan has taken a 4 car motorcade to travel a few blocks to the theatre in New York.

Lunde · 11/04/2025 23:28

So while Harry is bleating that his "life is in danger" and popping off to the Ukraine - Meghan is attending the theatre in NYC with a 4 vehicle security motorcade including an NYPD police car - so it looks like the US taxpayer is paying as well

If Harry is in Ukraine and Meghan and her pals are in NY - who has the kids? Do they have a separate security team?

Meghan Markle pops up in NYC to see ‘Gypsy’ on Broadway as Prince Harry makes surprise trip to Ukraine

The Duchess of Sussex managed to go unnoticed in the crowd. “I was too busy being transfixed by Audra [McDonald],” one showgoer told Page Six.

Cynic17 · 11/04/2025 23:35

When it comes to Harry, the King must be both incredibly frustrated and desperately worried.

BigWillyLittleTodger · 11/04/2025 23:43

After dinner, Markle traveled up to Times Square in a four-vehicle motorcade, including an unmarked NYPD car.
A group of security guards escorted the California native and her pals into the Majestic Theatre, where they watched six-time Tony winner Audra McDonald star in a revival of “Gypsy.”

And this is what Harry wants at all times and for the British Tax payer to foot the bill so him and his terrible wife can galavant around town with their mates.

Vespanest · 11/04/2025 23:51

page 6 was being naughty there, knowing the highlighting of security will ruffle the feathers. New York paying out again. You'd think they would be keeping a low profile of US funded security.
