Delusional as ever. He claims it was the RF removing his security to trap him. Completely disregarding that the RF have no say over such matters and its an issue for the Home Secretary/RAVEC.

Imagine what must go on in his mind. Stay away from drugs kids.

‘He suggested that he would find it hard to forgive his treatment and added that his “worst fears have been confirmed” by secret evidence he had heard in court.
The Duke believes his taxpayer-funded security was removed in a failed attempt force him to stay in Britain, after he announced they were stepping back from public duties and moving to the US.’

‘The Duke made clear that he will continue to fight for what he regards as justice, whatever the outcome of the case.
When he believes he has uncovered a wrong, he said, he is unable to let things lie and feels the need to “get under the bonnet and fix it”, adding that he was “driven by exposing injustice”’

And of course he’s been shocked by all the secrets revealed during the trial ….which of course he can’t tell you about. Convenient that?

He’s the King’s son so he should get top protection for his family and himself, even if he has to pay for it himself.

I loved the footage of him walking into court, you could tell the lady next to him was thrilled to see him, she looked very star struck

He gets protection when he comes to the UK. Provided at the taxpayers expense.

What he wants is IPP status so he doesn’t have to pay the security bill in the US or anywhere else he decides to travel to.

Did you think Anne, Andrew and Edward should have had the full level of security?

He does get top protection in the UK and he doesn’t have to pay for it.

It wouldn't be up to him to decide, would it. He'd have to follow the advice of the security services about where he should or shouldn't travel and the advice of the protection officers on the spot each day.

I expect William might like to visit Ukraine, but will have been told no because the security services think it's too much of a risk.

Wakemeupbe4yougogo · 11/04/2025 19:41

Basically, he wants to have his cake, eat it and make trifle from it. Harry is the poster boy for what children grow into when they're never told NO. Entitled, arrogant and thinks the world owes him a living.

Kimmeridge · 11/04/2025 19:47

He’s the King’s son so he should get top protection for his family and himself

Why? TLQE children didn't all get top protection. Just Charles.

The whole point is he doesn't get it 'just because' he's a Prince. Its done dependant on the risk assessment

They can't allow him to pay for the Met security the way he wants. It'd open the floodgates for any wealthy person to 'rent a cop' and that's a disaster just waiting to happen

Iamacatslave · 11/04/2025 19:51

Poor Harry 😐

AtIusvue · 11/04/2025 19:52

Even if it was within the Kings power to grant the security provisions he demands (Which obviously it isn’t) What does he expect William will do? In probably just a few years, William will be King….there’s no way he would go along with this.

Does he really think the next 50 years of his life, taxpayers around the world should be paying for his security detail? The reality is, neither he nor Meg, will be able to pay for their security team for the next 4 decades. He needs to get real and go live a quiet life.

Never believe anything written in The Torygraph. It has evolved in to an appalling rag. No better than a tabloid nowadays.

HonoriaBulstrode · 11/04/2025 19:52

What a lot of bollocks that article is. Struggling to decide which bit to quote.

The Duke would love to return more frequently to see family

Do family want to see him?

and support his charities without having to hide in hotels.

But he doesn't have to hide in hotels, does he. He's been offered accommodation in royal residences that have security.

smilesy · 11/04/2025 19:55

@AtIusvue Aaargh! There are two threads about this now 😆😆

vandelier · 11/04/2025 19:57

Oh yawn, not the RF stuff again. I wish they'd all go on a permanent holiday. Even if was at our expense I'd be ok with that. It wouldn't be that much different to what they're at all year anyway.

Uricon2 · 11/04/2025 20:02

"....his “worst fears have been confirmed” by secret evidence he had heard in court."

He would say that, wouldn't he?

I'm increasingly convinced that all this is to get IPP status and save $$$$ x millions a year on his bill in the US.

The way he views the world, his thinking patterns: he appears unwell and unable to form a balanced perspective on these matters.

I think he has lived in USA too long.

His father is a figurehead without any power.

springisspringing1 · 11/04/2025 20:06

I wish someone would sit him down and explain to him in v v short words that there is a finite pot for policing and no particular reason why his needs outweigh the many many others who are actually, you know, paying taxes in this country. If they let him borrow police officers whenever he fancied, it would open a whole can of worms.

letitgo23 · 11/04/2025 22:05

I have a family member who suffered DV and who was clearly at risk and did not receive any useful police protection for her or her children. She was then attacked. These ultimaltely are the same police resources, as are the failures to investigate other crimes normal tax paying members of the public face, all of whom did not ask for the circumstances that put them at risk of being a victim and many of whom have served their communities.
I find the privelege displayed in demanding additional protection, when what he has been offered is way more than the average person, not to mention his actions leading to such significant taxpayer resources having to be allocated to the court case and now the appeal completely sickening.

EsmaCannonball · 12/04/2025 06:56

He seems to be trapped in a cycle of entitlement, resentment and petty vengeance. It must be exhausting living with such a spoiled, whinging drain of misery.

He's so delusional. Does he think an Islamist terrorist would pass up the chance of killing Anne or Edward or Eugenie? And yet they don't get the level of security he wants on permanent standby for his gallivanting.

Meanwhile, Meghan (SUSSEX, you bastards!) has turned up to the theatre in New York in a motorcade. Who is paying for this?

I have a friend who is friends with a genuine A-list Hollywood actress (his best friend is married to her). She walks around LA, New York and London mostly unmolested by the paps and the public because she doesn't do things like travel by motorcade. She's appeared in the theatre on Broadway and walked to and from work. She gets to live a reasonably normal, lovely, luxury life because she thinks of herself as a working actor and doesn't pull a load of influencer stunts. Maybe Harry and Meghan should try to stop putting all their efforts into gaining publicity?

If he wants to return more frequently and see family what’s stopping him? Can’t be security issues as he’s offered security here 🤷🏻‍♀️. I mean I guess nobody wants to see him so that would be a stumbling block but his security arrangements won’t change that.

App George Clooney walks back and forth to the theatre when doing his new play. I actually think if MM walked down the street by herself, she would go relatively unnoticed because she’s actually quite an unremarkable person, especially in a city like NYC.

I once saw Julia Roberts out shopping . No security .

Uricon2 · 12/04/2025 11:47

There's a story about someone in I think Kensington approaching a well dressed couple who were looking bemusedly at a map. She put them on the right path, profuse thanks, walked away.

She only then realised it was Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward.

So many mega famous people manage to keep a level of normality and independence, but they have to want to. I don't thnk Harry does.
