@Mylovelygreendressit’s just an example - for the last month all I’ve seen is news about Meghan’s new cookery show - what she wears, who she’s had on the show, what she said about her surname, it’s not filmed in her house, how low the ratings are, how Netflix have invested in her products for their physical stores. And it’s all very negative about her. It’s an example of how the press go waaaay over the top finding the most mundane ‘news’ about her as an excuse to slate her.

@GuitaryoNo one is suggesting Prince Andrew would get good press/people sticking up for him, and yes he’s nothing done anything recently to write about. My point is that the fuss made about him in the press at the time vs the fuss that’s made over a cookery show is totally disproportionate.

To be fair @SunshineAndFizz , it's not a "fuss over a cookery show". Meghan is a very controversial person because of the things she has said and done, especially how she and her husband have monetised their.... issues.
She's no ingenue just wanting to be a rich housewife, there's quite a history there.

It was everywhere in the news. H&M need the press to stay relevant now they're essentially in the influencers sphere- what's the saying...any publicity and all that.

Did Harry say anything about Andrew in his book? Have they both condemned or commented on him? They seem to not mind doing it to the rest of the family, not sure if they have with Andrew would be curious as to why not if they haven't.

There is plenty to talk about re Andrew precisely because he is still being protected. How has he suddenly got enough money to stay in his massive house? Why are the papers in relation to all his dodgy dealings with potential spies suddenly gone away? Why is everything to do with his time as a trade envoy being kept secret? He is protected because he hasn't aired his dirty laundry in public. If writing a book moaning about your own family and your own experience in your family is going to bring your family into more disrepute than a member of that family associating with paedophies and spies and somehow squirrelling away bushel loads of cash in ways no one knows about then that family and the people supporting them need to look at their priorities. Apparently the Royals war gamed a potential 100 things Harry could say in his book! That's a lot of secrets they don' t want out there. I'm presuming much of that wasn't said in the book at all. The weird Virginai Guiffre thing is bringing a lot of victim blamers out of the woodwork too, so why do people think hes a dickhead? For lying on TV or for associating with paedophiles and potentially sleeping with very young girls?

I suspect it’s because at that time they were close to Eugenie . That no longer appears to be the case so we will see if the narrative changes.
