What is going on with MN?

I have given up on British media giving H & M the same benefit of the doubt they give other human beings. So I'm just going to buy, whenever I can, anything Meghan sells.

I’m keeping my eyes peeled on You Tube. The Shauna ‘Vintage Read’ channel will give it some early publicity, I reckon. She’s friendly with him.

And given that Andrew Lownie, a well known and reputable author, has done about 100 FOI requests about the Monarchy and had them all blocked at every turn, I doubt someone from mumsnet who wants to know why Andrew wasn't charged would be successful in their request!

They are exempt - thankfully our free press like Sunday Times/C4 and others can root around and find out what they don't want us to know.

That I seem to remember was in defiance of the law our heads of state have their legal privileges enshrined in law.

@TheAutumnCrow - I've read by Lownie his book "The Traitor King" re the D&DoW , The Mountbattens (While researching for his book on the Mountbattens, Lownie found himself blocked by the Cabinet Office and the University of Southampton despite public money being used in 2011 to acquire their archive to "ensure public access" ) and am reading his one on Guy Burgess at the moment. Despite his failed FOI requests I'm confident he will have meticulously researched everything he is able. Really looking forward to it.

I have had a few days not posting. its interesting looking at this topic , I think MN HQ really need to rename it as its just a H&M bash topic now.

To be fair , the rest of the Royals are just plodding along undertaking visits etc while H and M provide endless publicity stunts to discuss . They really are the gift that keeps on giving .
I don’t hate them . I dislike a lot of their behaviour . I dislike them monetising their titles . But I do enjoy the entertainment they provide.

Hey, Catherine's had cancer and they need downtime. They shouldn't have to huddle up in a tent somewhere

they always seem to be on holiday.

No one is expecting them to be camping in a field ! This is the third holiday this year and it's only April! The Alps, Mustique and Courchevel. I would expect them to be 'working' at some point.

At least W and C spend a lot of time with their DC . And can we remember that Catherine is recovering from cancer . Take it from me - that changes your perspective.

It's Easter break. Like many other families they are having a break with their children. Why should they not? If they were not then you would be criticising them for raising their children in that way.

Do you think working parents are not allowed to have time with their children? Are you one of the type that posts on MN moaning when colleagues take time off at Christmas or Easter to be with their children?

What about Meghan and Harry? Why did she leave her children to prance about in NYC when Harry was in the UK and the Ukraine? Was that necessary? Just saying ...
