Thread after thread of pulling apart Harry and Meghan. 0.1% discussing what Andrew did?

What is going on with MN?

Wait until the Andrew Lownie book comes out and start a new thread. You can run a virtual Book discussion. I know the Vintage Read will do one.

Honestly I have no idea. Palatable or not he still hasn’t been charged in a court of law. Why I don’t know but he still hasn’t been charged.

CathyorClaire · 09/04/2025 21:11

Given getting him served was a Tom and Jerry cat and mouse tale, getting him charged would be more like 'Mission Impossible'. IMO.

Why? The police know where he lives

Given Met weren't even willing to investigate him actual charges would seem vanishingly unlikely:

Samcro · 09/04/2025 11:45

ok, so why would an innocent man pay millions to the "victim" in a "settlement"

Don't be so disingenuous. I've already explained it several times. I am not going to do so again. Read back on the thread.

Then you would have to ask why?

mainecooncatonahottinroof · 09/04/2025 21:43

Samcro · 09/04/2025 16:16

but tell me why an innocent man would pay out millions in a "settlement"

(strange how PA is deemed innocent until proved guilty, but others are not)

It is literally the law of the land.

Serenster · 09/04/2025 21:27

And another question would by why because by rights some of them should as Andrew wasn’t the only one who spent time with Epstein.

mainecooncatonahottinroof · 09/04/2025 21:44

NewAgeNewMe · 09/04/2025 16:20

@Samcro see my post above. I’m not sure how true that is though. A friend of dh settled in the USA because it was cheaper than paying legal fees.

People settle legal actions every single day because it's cheaper than paying the legal fees.

CathyorClaire · 09/04/2025 21:45

Munnygirl · 09/04/2025 21:42

Well, quite.

mainecooncatonahottinroof · 09/04/2025 21:45

Mightymoog · 09/04/2025 18:24

wouldn't it have looked far better if this innocent man had gone to court to prove he was innocent?
The pay off just confirms many peoples' view that he is hiding an awful lot.

Puzzling how he refuses to speak to the FBI too. Again, reasonably easy for an innocent man to prove his innocence I would have thought

Tell me you don't understand how it works by telling me you don't understand how it works!

mainecooncatonahottinroof · 09/04/2025 21:51

I don't understand why she never went after others (apart from Dershowitz and she had to admit she was wrong about him - how can anyone be sure she didn't get it wrong about Andrew either?)

There must have been plenty of other high profile figures involved, so why only go after the hapless Andrew? Wouldn't you have thought she would have wanted them all brought to justice?

NewAgeNewMe · 09/04/2025 21:52

That doesn't apply to a person who's mother has untold millions in wodges of cash squirreled away in tax havens the world over. I agree he probably didn't want to because he still probably thought his 'defence of 'I'm a Prince' should have been enough and everyone else didn't want him to because they didn't want the public spectacle.

Wasn't there some kind of settlement paid by the others that Andrew tried to argue covered him as well? He is the one everyone's going after because as well as being disgusting, he is stupid and arrogant. Perfect scapegoat for all those people he thought were his high profile friends. They covered their backs.

NewAgeNewMe · 09/04/2025 22:06

Add venal to that list @Tomatotater

It applies to anyone. I agree it wasn't the sole consideration though.

They sure did, the stupid, arrogant fool.

BasiliskStare · 10/04/2025 00:30

Does anyone know btw when Lownie's book is coming out? I've googled various things I can think of but got no further than "later this year" That could well be my ineptitude however.

Ain't that the truth, Cathy

Besides, if even Paul Burrell had to be kept out of the witness box there was never a chance in hell of the RF risking it with Andrew - especially with the risk of overshadowing the Jubilee

You could do a freedom of information request to ask why wasn’t he charged? Now that would be interesting

NewAgeNewMe · 10/04/2025 10:30

I’d like to know why apart from Epstein no other man has been investigated. Including Trump and Clinton.
