Actually yes. Lots of these women openly admitted they struggled as teens, who followed the Tig and Meghan. They were dropped when Meghan moved on and now Meg is back to use them for her own purposes again.

So yes, that is very sad.

I think you ought to let them know. Seriously.

What?

TulipTiptoer · 04/04/2025 21:13

You obviously feel sorry for the Sussex Squad who are being used and abused by Meghan and her selling goods. If they are being taken advantage of, there is no reason why you can't tell them that.

Key statements today

  • Prince Andrew's involvement with Yang came at a time Hampshire and other royals believed his reputation was "irrecoverable", following his infamous Newsnight interview in 2019
  • The prince had a "communication channel" with China's President Xi Jinping - including sending an annual birthday letter
  • The communication with Xi was largely used to promote his Pitch@Palace start-up business initiative in China
  • But the witness statement insisted there was "nothing to hide" in these exchanges – and they were full of "top-level nothingness"
  • He said that because of "cultural differences", Mr Yang helped him draft letters to Xi, including in relation to plans for the Eurasia Fund, an investment vehicle which Andrew was seeking to raise funds for
  • Leaks to the press took place "everywhere" and "at all sorts of levels" within the Royal Household

In comments released today, Hampshire said he wanted this witness statement kept out of the public eye to "protect the confidential interactions" he had with both Buckingham Palace and intelligence services.

TheAutumnCrow · 04/04/2025 21:18

Fucking hell

Mr Hampshire said the late Queen Elizabeth II knew about the contacts with China and they were "perhaps even encouraged".

I want to see his (Dominic Hampshire's) receipts

It's just disgraceful, they were warned and still carried on. Why?

TulipTiptoer · 04/04/2025 21:29

I don't understand it. The Institution have the very best advisors... anything from Mi6, to Security Services, to Advisors appointed from the best in the land.

Yet they still fuck up. It really is appalling

It just goes to show that Andrew did his own thing and didn't take advice (if there was any!)

I'm going to look for that, thanks 👍

Do because it’s a brilliant film

This doesn’t even make sense.

Buckingham Palace said that while the King met Andrew and his adviser to discuss proposals for independent funding, Mr Yang “was not mentioned at any time or in any way as part of these discussions”.

Is this throwing Andrew under the bus?

100% imagine the ramifications if he did know and was involved.

TheAutumnCrow · 04/04/2025 23:49

I suppose Dominic Hampshire can say what he likes now about the dead Queen. He can’t face defamation charges or accusations. Easy pickings and a deflection (again) from Andrew’s agency and deviousness.

Although the royal family and the York clan do very much need to held to account.

Have you seen her in Red with Bruce Willis
she was amazing

Red and Red 2 are my go to sick day comfort movies! I’m very sad that Bruce Willis’s illness meant he retired from acting before they could do a third one for the trio.

Samcro · 05/04/2025 08:03

@wordler its when she takes her heels off and puts boots on, then shoots people. so cool.

Or William was driving him to keep an eye on him. Keep your friends close, your enemies closer. 😁

Seriously? If this is true, it’s yet another example of the RF’s incompetent PR team. They should have realized how it would look.

Yes. And these are court papers so presumably Dominic Hampshire could be held to account if he had lied?

So we now know that the King and the Duke of York participated in two meetings discussing Andrew’s activities in China.

And that the Queen knew that Andrew had “always had a communication channel” with Xi Jinping that was “accepted” and may even have been encouraged by Buckingham Palace and the late queen.

Wow. KC and the palace certainly can’t claim ignorance of these matters.

Well done to the Guardian and other newspapers for going through the legal processes to make this public.

Well people should care because it would mean a Chinese spy having access to influencing the king of this country etc.

Samcro · 05/04/2025 09:24

maybe Spectre8 cares because the Royal Family are protecting a man who is known to have kept company with some very dodgy people.

It's all speculation ! 😂 it's all twisted by the media 😂 you don't even know him 😂

glitterturd · 05/04/2025 09:39

It's all valid when the shoe is on the other foot isn't it? 🙄

TulipTiptoer · 05/04/2025 09:39

How weird to see a comment saying 'why do you care' ! Why should we care about anything if we shouldn't care about this. 😱😲

Hang on a minute, we are having to take the Palace's word for it, that they had no idea about Yang Tengbo the chinese spy.
Do I really believe that? Really not sure. The article says that if the Palace (i.e. the King?) needed to talk to the Chinese President, Andrew could enable that. Why would Charles need to talk to the Chinese president?

Hampshire says that Andrew was "deeply trusted" within the Palace "at the highest level". Really?? The Palace have a bigger problem than I imagined if that's the case.

Charles had meetings with Andrew, and Hampshire to discuss the Eurasia Fund which was an investment vehicle for Andrew and Yang (the spy), yet Charles didn't know anything about Yang.
Pull the other one!

Why was Yang so heavily invested in Andrew, when all other bodies were falling away after the Maitlis interview.

In the article it says how closely Yang (the spy) and Andrew worked together yet Hampshire contradicts himself and then says Yang “categorically does not have a close relationship with the duke”.

This is a hot potato

This was evidence that came to light in a court hearing glitterturd, not idle speculation.
