Oh. I guess it will give you all something more to screech about against Meghan.

I found the video on insta of the jam jars rolling off the industrial production line SO odd - and just so off brand. It’s all meant to be all about being from her kitchen to you etc - I mean I get that in real life it’s being made in an industrial environment- but marketing is all about the image - and I was perplexed how the factory production line was meant to fit into the pivotal moment for the time capsule

2024onwardsandup · 01/04/2025 22:40

And I reckon the crepe mixture will mean it’s about 20 dollars per crepe in the end

My2cents1975 · 02/04/2025 00:19

Good luck getting any media attention on Freedom Day when Trump announces tariffs...or lack thereof.

Maitri108 · 02/04/2025 01:35

You're doing a great job drumming up interest.

Yeah, just reading about the likely impacts on UK and Europe. Bigly bad and dumb, for the US too.

ThePoshUns · 02/04/2025 06:58

Great timing. As ever.

I know, right? She's following her dream of selling Ultra Processed Food to the gullible masses. Is there a higher calling in life?

Tacky, tacky, tacky.

Guffaw about, more like.

EsmaCannonball · 02/04/2025 07:45

Freedom Day and Harry embroiled in a racism and sexism scandal? She has the worst luck.

Hope so. Just about to have a look

Wildbird12 · 02/04/2025 07:59

They have the absolute worst timing... Trump is due to make announcements today about tariffs, possibly sparking a Trade War.
And surely they are distraught about the situation with Sentabale.
I saw her products somewhere - who buys ready made pancake mix?! It's so cheap and easy to make. I can't see this business doing well.

EsmaCannonball · 02/04/2025 08:07

I'm finding it fascinating because she's been reduced to Fergie-levels of selling privacy and flogging tat but the attempt to spin it as aspirational and to appeal to her scary, cultish fans adds a new element.

CesarSoubreyon · 02/04/2025 08:09

I've said this before, but the choice of products perplexes me. Out of everything she chose pancake mix and jam. It's so boring and unglamorous!

If she'd gone for fragrance and jewellery she could have made a fortune. The opportunities to be creative and add value to those are endless. Plus she could have advertised her own products.

Let's be honest, no one believes Meghan actually eats pancakes and jam!

TheNinkyNonkyIsATardis · 02/04/2025 08:16

And sadly, Val Kilmer has died. An actual A Lister in his heyday.

The problem with perfume and jewellery is it takes time.
As we know MM likes to 'hit the ground running' so everything she does looks like she is driving down the highway at 100mph and just lobbing stuff out of the window.

Why take your time to develop a perfume or design some jewellery when you can mass produce something that already exists to sell on for an extortionate price (tbc).

Not2identifying · 02/04/2025 08:43

There will surely be existing perfumes and jewellery that could be bought to sell under her name. I agree it would have been a better bet for profit.

Vespanest · 02/04/2025 09:25

Since ARO I've wanted this side to have success if brings an end to the drama. She selling to a large US audience, she doesn't need them all to be successful. Intrigued by what the prices will be but if expensive she not alone. I'm not the audience for a 100 pound pack of strawberries, I'm also not the audience for jam over £7.50

BasiliskStare · 02/04/2025 09:42

Apologies if already posted somewhere but I saw this yesterday in The Spectator https://www.spectator.co.uk/article/if-only-meghan-markles-as-ever-launch-was-an-april-fool.
I thought it amusing . The reference to the Netflix shops made me giggle

"One is lurking in a Dallas shopping centre – so perhaps that city will now be able to say that the assassination of JFK is only the second worst thing to have happened there "

If only Meghan Markle's 'As Ever' launch was an April Fool

The opportunity to buy Meghan’s jams and homeware has been dangled in front of us since the beginning of the year.

Bless her , here she is thanking her boy squad and a shout out to her girl squad too . She's not very good at reading the room is she?

I know. I am on a ward waiting for one of my kids to go down down for a minor op. And I literally guffawed out loud at that comment. Got some v funny looks.

Laserwho · 02/04/2025 12:15

Uurrgghh. Will stick to buying Aldi jam thanks very much

WinWhenTheyreSinging · 02/04/2025 12:21

Can't wait to see how much this pot of mass-produced jam will be flogged for.😂

BasiliskStare · 02/04/2025 12:22

I just saw this https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-14558773/Meghan-Markle-launch-Netflix-doubts.html

including spread price indication from NYT Speaking to the New York Times ahead of the launch of her As Ever collection today, Meghan insisted her freezer was 'stuffed with' convenience foods - and revealed her jams would be sold for $12-$15.

(sorry if that snippet was posted before )

Staff working on Meghan Markle's As Ever launch are 'already over it'

EXCLUSIVE: The Duchess of Sussex is said to be lining up her most famous friends to 'plaster social media' with her products as part of a 'good vibes' launch in the coming hours.
