@Mightymoogand I did indeed buy Japanese msg in a panda shaker!!
its cute , was that not allowed?

oh I'm glad you got the panda shaker1
but I'm afraid you will have to now throw it away and self flagellate for a few hours

Meghan's raspberry spread in keepsake packaging will cost 14 dollars (£10.80), while her limited edition wildflower honey with honeycomb is priced at 28 dollars (£21.60). The spread without the packaging will be available later box for 9 dollars (£7

Well that's not high end then 🤷‍♀️

We refrigerate all open jams, jellies, spreads, butter and eggs in the US.

$9.00 for a mass-,produced, 7.5 oz jar of jam is outrageous!! Bon Mamen is $6.59 for 13 oz of Raspberry preserves at Target. I could buy 13 oz of Stonewall Kitchen for $13.19.

I normally buy a upstate brand of honey for $11.99 for 16 oz from a small NYS apiary.

Megs feeding the kids chicken nuggets???

’When it’s just her and the kids for dinner, she said, she often relies on chicken nuggets, veggie burgers and Tater Tots (the freezer is stuffed with them).’

What a load of bollocks.

@jeffgoldblum Now, Jeff. Upthread I have done some sterling work comparing the price per 100g of As ever (unboxed) spread versus other brands. If you or others don't wish to use the vital information I have gathered at no small effort to myself - well - I have no sympathy when they end up with a doll's house sized jar of spread.

😂

@DuskyPink1984 It's 215g - the size of a mustard jar. - as with Jeff see above for my pat pending pricing comparisons

Edited

it was excellent work and I applaud you

glitterturd · 02/04/2025 16:06

It's a small airline size of jam ?

glitterturd · 02/04/2025 16:08

Utilise her friends? Oh god she's like the one selling over priced candle melts isn't she? 😬

BemusedAmerican · 02/04/2025 16:08

Half the size of the average Bon Mamen from Target!

God that’s expensive @BemusedAmerican! It’s just over 3 pounds for Bonne maman here!

really?
Like the teeny indiviual pots?

pushchairprincess · 02/04/2025 14:50

With everything being sold out - is it because of low stocks, or has someone sabotaged the launch so no-one can purchase ??

It's all a load of piffle.

There's only two sources for jam and it's Baxter's and Mackay's. I should know as my grandfather was conceived in the berry fields of Blairgowrie . 🤭

Uricon2 · 02/04/2025 16:27

Right, so the jam/preserve/spread/stuff in the ridic packaging is 215g?

I feel like I've wandered into Alice in Wonderland where nothing is as expected, between this and the tater tot lovin' Mama nonsense. Expecting the White Rabbit to dash by any moment or Meghan to go full on Ophelia, drifting around with a glazed expression handing out flowers (edible of course) to her own angsty Prince H.

ooh, bet that was a thorny conception!

@Mightymoog Awww thank you - so few people praise me for my sterling work. I'm touched and hugely grateful. 😂

(PS I hope you saw my dog in the fight post) - nothing to do with this thread. )

The pots aren't hotel breakfast sized - they're maille etc mustard sized - If Dh gets home from the dog's home soon I'll post a handy photo for scale

Lifestooshort71 · 02/04/2025 16:43

We refrigerate all open jams, jellies, spreads, butter and eggs in the US.

So do I in the UK (and pickles, mayonnaise and ketchup 😒) - pure laziness really as it's easier to keep them all on the little shelves in the fridge than have to rootle around elsewhere!

I do too @Lifestooshort71 - with the exception of pickled onions if the fridge is full.

Brilliant! Thanks. I still think nice for someone as a gift (especially if they are Meghan fans as my friend is). Would make a nice talking point.
