I volunteer as Tribute! (I take no credit - we did an Aldi easter egg hunt so it's fresh in my mind)

I do find the discussion about seasonality of both WLM and As Ever a bit weird. The crepes would have been perfect for Shrove Tuesday but they were released too late. I'm actually even more confused now by the original January release date of WLM. It doesn't make sense.

Oh yeah, that would have been a great selling point. I guess she messed up with the launch date. I’d rather have Shrove Tuesday crepes then those weird mouldy look St Patrick Day’s waffles she posted 🤢

Honestly, she needs to change her branding team. The suggestions on this thread have been better than the majority of what she has put out.

Her Easter Sunday instagram post was about a duck and ducklings with Meghan emerging from a bush in a pristine white dress.

Would you not buy from wherever you got them last time rather than wait for MM?

There is a really important sentence missing from my post. Sorry it doesn't make sense.

I am really happy to wait for the leggings to restock because they are a small business and I understand that they buy in small numbers because they can't afford to hold huge amounts.

I would expect Meghan's drop shipping jam to be restocked by now, as a different flavour say apricot. Also the tea bags. It's a poor way to run a business if you want to grow it.

Fortunately Meghan hasn't realised my favourite leggings exist!

Tbh I'd rather support just about any other small business than Meghan's! You might be waiting a while for those leggings...

I'm currently waiting for some running leggings to come back into stock. They keep selling out in the size and colour I want. I'm happy to wait because they are the perfect running leggings (I have bought from them before).

Not every product is sold out though. Surely she could have done an Easter egg hunt collection or something.

I do think the Shopmy page is about the level of her concentration. My question is how much is the price inflated for the consumer for buying through a site like that? These kind of costs are always passed onto the buyer in one way or other.

From what I can see from her page, all products are sold out with no indication of when or even if they'll be back in stock.

Definitely you would think that a food and lifestyle brand would have some sort of Easter theme, but no. I agree with you that she lacks the focus to manage a brand and putting up a few affiliate links on 'Shop My' is more her level.

Not very good at this, is she?

I don’t see how anyone can argue that this is a huge success and she is going to make those fabled millions we are always told about 🤷‍♀️

ThePoshUns · 21/04/2025 08:39

Agree it’s like she is already done and dusted with the brand.

Do people actually make a lot of money posting these links ?

AtIusvue · 21/04/2025 10:08

The commission is decent but it is different for every brand.

Dior (she posted Dior beauty products) it’s 10% for 30 days for links. Also if you click on the product she posted but buy something elsewhere on the site- then she still gets commission. So she put up Dior blusher, if you click but then go onto another section and buy some perfume, she will get 10% of that.

So there’s money to be made but it’s completely dependent on how many people are clicking and buying.

Like with most things, initially I’m sure there’s a big surge but as time goes on, I don’t think anyone will be eagerly awaiting her next collection on her Shopmy page.

As with As ever, I think this a temporary push for cash. Trying to earn what she can while she can, while some are still interested. A sort of bridge between the NF contract up in just a few months time.

It seems like such a low level thing to do for an esteemed Duchess who was wearing custom couture and had media giants offering her lucrative contracts just a few years ago.

Literally anyone can set up a Shop My page. It's something you'd expect from YouTubers or Instagram influencers, You don't even need a minimum follower number. And Meghan doesn't even have any partnerships with any of these brands, at least not that we know of.

I agree. I think she is throwing mud at the wall to see what sticks and looking for easy, passive revenue streams.

NewAgeNewMe · 21/04/2025 14:40

Good luck to her. Can’t say she isn’t a trier. And I say that as a non fan.

My2cents1975 · 21/04/2025 14:59

Dear, oh dear, the progressives are really frothing over Archewell pulling Muslim charity MWC funding online!

M needs to refocus her PR team from their default of attacking W&C to containing the spiraling situation with MWC. In the highly charged and polarised political space, progressives have turned to violence e.g. vandalising Tesla cars on the streets, at dealerships and in shopping mall showrooms.

M wants to put her products in two malls this Fall, when students are back on campus, so her key concern should be that pro-Palestinian progressives will organise with students and together demonstrate in-person at the mall or even vandalise her products at the shopping mall as they did with Tesla.

Thedom · 22/04/2025 08:37

I think she is not alone in pivoting towards saying the ‘right’ thing to appease the Hollywood elites. I don’t think the Clooney’s will be inviting her to Lake Como or on their private jet for a while though.

Her buddy Misan Harriman has made a very pointed quote, so he may have departed her fan club. There will be a lot of people though who appreciate them making some sort of stance.

I do think that is how Meghan and Harry operate though, no real principles or beliefs, so even this statement and action is pretty shallow and not worth the paper it is written on, because eveyone knows they would do another pivot depending on who they feel they need to align with to benefit themselves.

SoOxon · 22/04/2025 09:11

but… she does not design or manufacture anything - someone else / the factory does the donkey work, Meghan then adds petals, hapless acquaintance, hyperbole.

As a poster has already remarked, jewellery and perfume, both lines for which she is (in)famous would have been
a) more appropriate for a Duchess than pancake mix
and
b) more lucrative

or as has been noted, she has a Champagne lifestyle with 7up taste

Thedom · 22/04/2025 09:20

Plus it appears they were strong armed into doing it, and rather then taking a measured approach which could have had a similar outcome, they seem to have had a panicked knee jerk reaction which on the surface may appease those who threatened to blackball them, but won’t do them any favors with either side in the long run.

glitterturd · 22/04/2025 10:22

Yes the Easter egg hunt at Sandringham was hastily arranged as well 🙄

@atlusvue Apologies if cross-posted, but did you (or anyone else) see Meghan's remarks about her flower sprinkles, made in the course of her attendance at the event 5th annual Time100 summit in New York? For example:

“Oh my gosh! You’d think I’m a little fairy tossing them around all the time.
“The obsession that has come with flower sprinkles. Of all things we could be talking about… it speaks to the tiny moments of joy that are so effortless and create a little bit of magic we’re all craving every day.”

Is the woman really quite sane?

I love my flower sprinkles even though they were mocked, says Meghan (msn.com)

Since the NF series, I have seriously considered that Meghan is ‘not the full shilling’ as my grandmother used to say. I think it was the story about the airplane crew member on the freedom flight removing his hat and thanking her for her service that did it for me. I have never studied psychology so I can’t think of a better way to describe her!!

At an event like that talking about herself and hamster food 😂
