It's a shame because it gave him something positive to do.

BadSkiingMum · 26/03/2025 07:04

It’s not uncommon for charities founded by one individual to go through a painful process of change, whereby new management and leadership have to take control to make the charity fully fit for purpose and achieve the maximum for its beneficiaries.

But what a statement!

ThePoshUns · 26/03/2025 07:12

Sophie’s statement is very interesting. I look forward to seeing how the investigation by the charity commission pans out.

AtIusvue · 26/03/2025 07:13

And the court case

Meh. He founded and supported a charity which has done a lot of good and will continue to do so after he's walked away......I wonder how many charities the OP has started ? And anyone else moaning over nothing ? 🙄

Honestly I find threads like this absolutely pathetic.

marmaladeandpeanutbutter · 26/03/2025 07:20

Me too, frankly.

individuals have been accused of sexism and racism. Those are pretty serious allegations. The accusations are from an African woman, who is chair of the charity.

That’s not something that can be dismissed. This is very serious

RecoIIectionsMayVary · 26/03/2025 07:22

It is a devastating statement because the one thing Harry hides behind is racism.

That is a daming statement.

AtIusvue · 26/03/2025 07:25

Very strange, that some posters are using the move along, nothing to see here…….

These are extremely serious allegations.

Wow, a black educated woman with huge credibility whistleblows on a board of a charity "of abuse of power, bullying, harassment, misogyny, misogynoir "

and you think Meh.

It sounds as if they are running scared rather than flouncing. I don’t think anyone has ever stood up to Harry so publicly ever before.
There are people in this world who behave as though they are above the law and mistreat people, and then play the victim card and use the very press they disdain to harm people who have the courage to challenge their conduct.

I wonder who she is talking about here???

HelenWheels · 26/03/2025 07:29

she was a voluntary chair who refused to step down
she has a lot to say
unlike anyone else who have to be more guarded

I wonder if a statement about African Parks will be next?

I really hope the press do an expose on what has been happening to the women and children there.

I find it more 'pathetic' that just because something started with good intentions that it should be beyond reproach.

myrtleWilson · 26/03/2025 07:32

@HelenWheels why have you used past tense - she still is Chair

Apologies for my ignorance, but what is the issue with African Parks?

I hope so

Certainly the days of being a white saviour Prince in Africa is over. Im surprised it’s taken until 2025 for this to happen.

😂I don't believe she would have been referring to Prince Seeiso as a 'white saviour' 😂
