It sounds as if they are running scared rather than flouncing. I don’t think anyone has ever stood up to Harry so publicly ever before.
There are people in this world who behave as though they are above the law and mistreat people, and then play the victim card and use the very press they disdain to harm people who have the courage to challenge their conduct.

Yup a court case and now the charity commission is involved

It didn’t make sense at all, why he would leave his own charity. Now it does

She is the woman who was shoved aside when Harry, Meghan, and Nacho posed with the trophy at the polo match.

She has guts and a sense of honor. Good for her!

Edited for typos.

Is it? I remember that!

His posho pals were the ones on the board! They have all left over the last two years! Goodness!

So yes, it is his posho pals.

Shits hit the fan.

She is calling out Harry for using the press that he claims to hate

That this is a vanity project for Harry

Looks like there questions around racism too!

Sophie Chandauka MBE told The Sun: "I chose to join Sentebale first and foremost as a proud African who understands that, in the spirit of ubuntu: to whom much is given, much is expected.
"Everything I do at Sentebale is in pursuit of the integrity of the organisation, its mission, and the young people we serve.
"My actions are guided by the principles of fairness and equitable treatment for all, regardless of social status or financial means.
"There are people in this world who behave as though they are above the law and mistreat people, and then play the victim card and use the very press they disdain to harm people who have the courage to challenge their conduct.
"Discerning readers will ask themselves: why would the Chair of the Board report her own Trustees to the Charity Commission?
"Why would the High Court of England and Wales hear her case and issue an emergency injunction to prevent the same Trustees from removing her as the Chair of the Board?
"Well, because beneath all the victim narrative and fiction that has been syndicated to press is the story of a woman who dared to blow the whistle about issues of poor governance, weak executive management, abuse of power, bullying, harassment, misogyny, misogynoir – and the coverup that ensued.
"I could be anyone. I just happen to be an educated woman who understands that the law will guide and protect me. I will say nothing further on this matter at this time.
"I have one job. I must focus on fundraising for the very important work of the young people who inspire the incredible team at Sentebale who make sacrifices daily at a time when geopolitics is severely impacting funding for development work in Africa.
"For me, this is not a vanity project from which I can resign when I am called to account.
"I am an African who has had the privilege of a worldclass education and career. I will not be intimidated.
"I must stand for something. I stand for those other women who do not have the ways and means.
"I am indebted to those who have stood by me and picked up my urgent call for help so that we can continue the mission at Sentebale.
"I will continue to faithfully perform my role as Chair of the Board, and I look forward to the opportunity to work with others who are interested in issues of health, wealth and climate resilience for young people in Africa."

Wow.
WHAT a statement 👏

I wonder if the decision to resign is linked at all to mess him and Meghan are dealing with surrounding the archewell foundation

Because while one is bad luck two looks like a pattern

Conundrumseverywhere · 26/03/2025 06:29

I am full of admiration for that woman. What a strong statement. Finally, someone calls Harry out . Good for her.

Isn’t it just: clear, concise, devastating!

Compare that with Harry’s statement: rambling and doesn’t make any sense.

upthread there is talk of his posho white pals

i have pointed out it is not his posho white pals given that Prince Seeiso of Lesotho,
is not white

and who exactly do you think starts charities?

Thedom · 26/03/2025 06:38

It sounds like it is a 'temporary' resignation from Harry and Prince Seesio based on their statement, very strange indeed.

The Sentebale Wikipedia page is interesting.

The Prince wasn’t a board member. He was patron.

Perhaps the charity is choosing it's leadership organically over the years, and maybe Harry is happy for that transformation to take it's natural course.

Well done for Harry to help start the charity. I hope it continues to help.

Interesting but not surprising. Left before they were pushed!

Good for her to have the strength to challenge it can’t have been easy.

I think from the statement Harry and Prince Seeiso released, it’s clear that they aren’t happy with the situation. Whatever that situation is.

“It is devastating that the relationship between the charity's trustees and the chair of the board broke down beyond repair, creating an untenable situation.”

I agree with you that setting up the charity was a good thing, and hopefully it continues.

MysticMel · 26/03/2025 06:57

👀

DaphneduM · 26/03/2025 06:59

I also prefer to wait and hear the Charity Commission's report before rushing to judgement here. There's enough Harry bashing in the UK media, who obviously have an agenda. We shall see what transpires here.

MayaKovskaya · 26/03/2025 07:02

There's no "Harry Bashing" in the UK Media.
Actually, there's no such thing as "the UK Media", as if it were a hive mind!
There have been different reports this morning from different outlets. I watched the itv news and there was no criticism of him at all.
