Despite the ‘almighty’ British media, the rightwing US media and the internet brigade attempting to outdo each other with their crushing, supposedly annihilating reviews of Meghan’s As ever show, not only has it spent the past days in Netflix’s top 10 in more than 40 countries (including being Nr 5 in the Meg-lovin’ UK), Netflix have renewed the show for a 2nd season!

And of course, Netflix are also actively supporting the launch and commercialisation of Meghan’s As ever product range.

So, some folks have plenty of (hopefully fluffy - add sparkling water!) egg on their faces right now, and none of them are Meghan. She’s delivered the perfect put-down to her detractors with her “Lettuce romaine calm” pun, playfully announcing her Season 2 on her Instagram…. and adding a bum wiggle which to me said “we’ve obviously known for months that there’ll be a season 2, but y’all didn’t, so we’ve let you play with your silly headlines and review-bombing about this being ‘the end of the road’ and we ‘should kiss goodbye to Netflix’ BS, before making you all look like the obsessive fools you are by announcing season 2. Back-off and just chill, folks!”

Too funny! So far in this little PR war, it’s Meghan 2, detractors 0. Basically, the general public don’t GAF about the screeching online: if the show’s a good watch they’ll watch it, and they evidently are… kinda like… a certain biography, that other Sussex review-bombed ‘abject failure’ that still went on to become a Nr1 bestseller in the UK and US…

So, where did the gormless twopenny British journalists and their equally misguided US counterparts go wrong (again)? They were so eager to wield the knife into Meghan (a soooo much easier and risk-free target than Elon Musk, Donald Trump or even Andrew Tate, whom they’re evidently too chicken sh*t to go after with a tenth of the vitriol they enjoy hurling at Meghan), that they forgot to read the not so small print.

That small print includes the words “Netflix” and “Sony Pictures Television”, producers of As ever.

Now, who wields more power and influence over US viewers and consumers, Marina Hyde and her fellow sour-grapes, or Netflix and Sony Pictures combined (not to mention People magazine, Drew Barrymore, etc)?

Hmm… tough one.

So next time spineless journos want to pile-in on a mixed heritage woman for the heinous crime of launching a feel-good lifestyle business, maybe they could read the small print about who’s backing her and turn their Trump and Musk a*s-licking tongues in their mouths a few times before spouting off, lest they end up being the ones looking utterly ridiculous?

The initial filming was split into two.parts.

The fact that her mother was the provider of good food, yet in one part of her show, she says she likes to cook for her children because she didn't have that as a "latch key kid".
Although I wouldn't pay much attention to that. Either or both parts could be untrue.

I see being a latchkey kid simply means she spent a lot of time alone after school because her mother was working. It doesn’t mean her mom never cooked or that Meghan never had home-cooked meals.

It’s entirely possible (and pretty common) for a child to be a latchkey kid on weekdays but still have a parent who cooks on weekends or when they have time. Meghan saying she likes to cook for her children because she didn’t have that as a latchkey kid likely refers to her day to day routine growing up - not that her mom never made meals.

But hey, why go with the obvious explanation when you can twist it into a contradiction instead?

Sadly, she won't succeed. She is extremely status obsessed and tears down anyone she perceives as lower ranking. She doesn't have the capability to be kind to anyone 'lower' than her. it's all fake. Notice how celebrity obsessed she is, from Oprah to Tyler Perry, Drew Barrymore etc. Has she ever showcased an ordinary person in anything she does? She is 100% status and money.

The only people worshipping her at this stage are cult members. Genuinely, it is the children we should be worried for, they will not have a good outcome. I am still trying to escape the destruction of having a narcissistic mother and a sociopathic father.

She has also talked about her father as the one who was there for her, joining him on set, him taking her to dance classes etc

I totally agree. I do wonder about the people on here who love Meghan. She's a proven liar (multiple offences), a very strongly-alleged workplace bully (nice!) whose employees have even been driven to seek therapy after leaving their posts, a terrible, status-obsessed snob, a text-book narcissist, and a very nasty 'mean girl' in her treatment of Catherine in particular. Also a cold-hearted egoist - just look at her treatment of the mothers who'd suffered losses due to HIV in South Africa and other unfortunates whom Meghan has callously used for 'the optics'.

How in the name of sanity can anyone like her? She just screams fakeness and meaness to me..why aren't people seeing it? (There are none so blind, etc) But IRL you meet people who fall for such nasty individuals and then suffer at their hands - but they won't be warned. Baffling. Human beings are very strange creatures, is all I can conclude.
