In the Tom Bower book he relates the story of her trying out for a cookery show in 2016. It didn't work. That was when she arrived in the UK trying to develop her brand and get famous. The UK agent Jonathan Shallit said that the cooking repertoire wasn't enough.

And this means that her public Valentine's message to Harry (with the weird emphasis on food and the sign-off 'As Ever') was just part of her re-brand. Ugh. She's gone from the Worldwide Privacy Tour to using her family as a marketing tool.

Not sure if you're being serious or not but could you explain why you adore this complete stranger who comes across really badly in public?
She may well be a nice person in real life but unless you know her personally I don't understand this?

Shes not a nice person in 'RL' - she's a persistent bully who belittles and stresses her staff consistently to emotional breakdown in the workplace.

When Nigella Lawson moved from being a reasonably famous journalist into a celebrity chef it worked because it was clear she had a lifelong passion and deep knowledge about food. She's got the old family cookbooks and the handwritten notebooks covered in food stains. Although aspects of her shows are clearly staged (it's not her house, it's a studio), you do get the sense that she is the kind of person who cooks food and then stands eating it at the kitchen counter.

With Meghan it just feels like Suits never translated into a bigger acting career, she was heading into her forties with the prospect of nothing better than Hallmark made-for-TV movies in front of her, and so cookery and lifestyle influencing is just another angle.

Yes, she was trying to get onto Made in Chelsea, according to TB, and generally scouting around - hence the meeting with Piers Morgan. She was a hustler and certainly worked hard at promoting herself. Nothing wrong with that, but she's had an interesting journey.

How does this link to the ARO stuff? Is this brand replacing that one?

Totally agree. I thought she was perhaps Spanish when I first saw her.
It seems that some people think it impossible to dislike someone who has mixed race or is black unless it is because of their colour.
Can we only dislike people of the same colour?
She is a very good looking woman. Her skin and hair colour is part of that. I don’t put value on looks personally but I would always say that she is extremely conventionally attractive.
What I heartily dislike is her personality and her actions. Not from anything written or said about her, but from the things she writes and says herself.

@Mittens67 I agree. Meghan is an attractive woman, I don't like the human hair extensions but that's her choice to make.

Her face and figure are irrelevant to any negativity, it's what she says and does that many dislike.

Her mother being African American has no bearing on this. She's an adult woman, engaged in self promotion and merchandising. She's not above criticism.

Every so often someone comes along and tries to light that touch paper. You would almost think they had an agenda.

Not sure how's she's getting away with that logo. It's way too similar to the Spanish one.

Wonder if this is clearing the way for future relocation? The previous brand was tied geographically, whereas this brand would work anywhere. Moves afoot? Or just future-proofing?

Complete agree with the Amandaland comparison. She has become a parody of herself.
