Meghan has renamed her luxury lifestyle brand 'As Ever'.

'As Ever essentially means as it's always been, and if you've followed me since 2014 with The Tig, you know I've always loved cooking and crafting and gardening — this is what I do,' she said. '

She reminds me of Amanda out of Amandaland. Maybe she’ll reclaim the word ‘simpleton’ too.

Wasn't there an amusing anecdote in Spare relating how the pair of them wanted to cook a chicken but didn't have a clue what they were doing?

I've not read Spare but I remember Meghan saying in the engagement interview that Harry proposed while they were roasting a chicken; he interjected with "Trying to roast a chicken" and rolled his eyes a bit (just viewed that bit again to check I remembered it properly).
It stuck in my mind because I'd heard she liked cooking and saw herself as a foodie. So do I, so I couldn't understand what was tricky about roasting a chicken

I was also confused about their chicken comment at first, but it was not as innocent or silly as it appeared. Apparently, it's a reference to a gay sexual position - and they were making fun of the general public with their smutty double entrendre. Nasty.

It's like being back with the girls school bullies - can't hate the woman of colour in public but online .. no problem at all - shameful to have so much hate for a stranger - and this is parents forum so most of you will have children soaking in this toxicity - makes me shudder to be so negatively invested -

doubleshotcappuccino · 18/02/2025 10:14

Just don't watch it and leave her to it ? Ye Gods how bored and hateful are you ???

Grifting As Ever, Meghan. I like it, it has authenticity.

IsoldeWagner · 18/02/2025 10:16

"thoughtful living"
Really? Thinking about the last 5 years?
Come on now, it has to be a spoof!

Chuchoter · 18/02/2025 10:19

I think she set out to be the new Princess Diana, Queen of hearts. That failed as she wasn't prepared for her and Harry to play second fiddle to William and Kate.

So off she flounced and she's now going after the Martha Stewart crown.

Again, failing miserably.

Some people regardless of whether they are a nice person or not just don't have the appeal of a popular person.

You can't force natural charm, she always comes across as being fake and insincere because she tries too hard.

You can't be likeable when it's obvious to everyone that you're not being yourself. Always being on the permanently defensive isn't a good look either.

Did you not notice the SS woman sitting behind her at Invictus, the one who has apparently been extremely nasty to Catherine and her children? Ironically she’s named Peace. Don’t feel sorry for Meghan, she nurtures bullying, in herself and others.

It's like being back with the girls school bullies

Thats what has been reported consistently for years from dozens of her staff who separately have been the victims of her atrocious behaviour in the workplace through the independent investigations of numerous credible publications. Shocking way to treat other human beings - losing their livelihoods, emotional well-being and MH. Disgraceful. Waiting for the joint legal effort to circumvent the NDAs.

Plantpotpot · 18/02/2025 10:22

I genuinely dislike Meghan and Harry for EXACTLY the same reasons. How can I be motivated by racism for one but not the other? It’s doesn’t make sense.

MrsLeonFarrell · 18/02/2025 10:22

The video I saw on Instagram is giving a really amateur, early 20s just starting out, manic pixie dream girl vibe.

I think she would be much better advised to be herself, a 40 something celebrity mother who knows what she wants and isn't afraid to work herself and those around her hard to get it.

That would be authentic. She could still market products, just frame them as things she or her family love.

The problem with this though is that it doesn't really sit well with the pseudo royal visits. As I keep saying, they need to stick to the lane they have chosen, not royal, celebrity, and work that angle. The market is tight in a credit crunch so she needs to be crystal clear about her branding and audience.

BunnyLake · 18/02/2025 10:22

Failing As Ever, Meghan. The re-branding options are endless. Good choice Meghan.

PeggyMitchellsCameo · 18/02/2025 10:23

’For all of those who followed The Tig’…
It did reasonably well but it’s not 2014 now and she had to end it to become a Royal, which is appropriate.
She was not forced into marriage, it was her choice.
The ARO Insta is still up. No use now.
Apparently ‘As Ever’ will be linked to the Netflix shoe and you can then perhaps go and buy jam?
It is not a cookery show, just a let me show you how to host in a house that isn’t mine affair.
Sure fans will watch it. Or people who just want to nose at what she’s doing now.
Never sticks with anything - what happened to Lemonada? It’s just one vanity plan after another and not and if it has any substance.
It also feels so old hat. Yes, Royals can do traditional like Highgrove jam. But this faux Martha Stewart stuff had been done to death.
If it comes from someone truly stylish I’d watch it. Would love to see Jennifer Aniston’s guide to living. Even JLo’s would be fun - OTT!

Yep, Meghan is like a school ground bully. It’s been verified by three separate sources. Hopefully her kids don’t soak up on her toxic behaviour and bullying of staff and continue the cycle…

American Riviera Orchard
With Love, Meghan
As Ever

It hasn't even launched and it's already confusing and all over the place.

My main thought is all these years on and she's back to The Tig and where she started, only with enough fame to flog actual goods in shopping malls. Back to being a celebrity influencer and a walking billboard.

Also, it's very tempting to call it Whatever.

IsoldeWagner · 18/02/2025 10:29

I don't understand - are all these things happening concurrently?

No idxea what you mean and am much too scared to google!!

LunaNorth · 18/02/2025 10:35

She should go back to acting if she wants a job. All this influencer stuff is a bit embarrassing.

What does the colour of her skin have to do with it ?
The only bully I can see is Meghan herself .

Exactly. Her ‘colour’ is the least of her problems. Her fakery and spitefulness transcend colour. I actually dislike Harry more than her and he's as pasty as they come.

Also there was a story about her chef ex boyfriend being less than pleased that she took all the credit for a successfully roasted chicken following his recipe.

Disclaimer, might not be a true story but she has clearly been around cooked chickens before.

EsmaCannonball · 18/02/2025 10:37

I hope the jam and tea towels are lovingly hand-crafted in a yurt in Topanga Canyon or Donald will be slapping a massive tariff on them.

Mightymoog · 18/02/2025 10:37

Why do people still say it's anything to do with colour.
I find that pretty insulting and racist TBH that the defining characteristic of a person is the colour of their skin rather than their actions and personality

Lndnmummy · 18/02/2025 10:39

she looks stunning 'As ever'. I adore her and wish her the best with her project.
