Kensington Palace have released a photo of the Princess of Wales photographed by her youngest son, Prince Louis. It is to mark World Cancer Day, which is tomorrow.

I think maybe @IcedPurple meant not a good picture an adult should have chosen to put on the official Instagram page on World Cancer Day. Coming back to it, it's really quite something. I well know the feeling the vanquishing ill health. But this public display of triumph is a bit 😬, especially when many can't and don't. A bit of circumspection wouldn't go amiss.

Sure. For a child his age it's a really well taken photo. But I just don't think it's an interesting or significant enough photograph for a member of the royal family to make public.

They chose to make this photo public, therefore that choice is a valid topic for public discussion.

Also, why do they think anyone wants to see a photo their kid took?
Really annoys me that as a country we are such sycophants that this has made it into the public domain at all.
WTF has it got to do with cancer day apart from a bit more self publicising.

It’s interesting to see the Wales’ photo strategy. They have a few trusted photographers that they use, or take them themselves, and can then release ‘exclusives’. By releasing several across the year, they manage their image and reduce the value of and demand for paparazzi pics. It also means that their children never have to go through those 80’s-style photo calls where the press are all shouting and clicking away.
It’s a strategy developed by the Swedish RF and seems to be working well.

I never 'stated' anything. I simply offered my opinion on a photo which has been made available to the public.

It's a discussion forum. People discuss things.
