Kensington Palace have released a photo of the Princess of Wales photographed by her youngest son, Prince Louis. It is to mark World Cancer Day, which is tomorrow. How cute!

Which I do.

This is not to say I don't think there are lots of parts of the system that need more transparency, more oversight and some overhaul. I strongly believe this is important.

This is not to say that some of the King's family deserve the strong criticism they get for their behaviour and actions.

However, my personal opinion is the Wales family are getting it right. As are the Edinburghs and Anne.

No only you have decided that there are two camps , but slagging off a recent cancer patient over her photo taken by her 6 year old son , that was lifted from her instagram is a low move.

I'd guess who she's trying to reach.

Don't think she was thinking about republicans versus royalists when she posted this.

She's a women with a high public profile for whatever reason

She's using that platform to share her experience.

Not as a future monarch but as some one with a platform.

You don't want to listen, that's fine.

Why try and demean people that might be seeking solace wherever the fuck they can find it.

I think it's the curated and sparse release of photos (and I know of the past disasters re photos), together with rare enough public appearances that fuel the gossip.

Maybe if they spammed us with tons of stuff and did a visit every two or three days to this or that, we would get bored, and they would be just another charity supporting family, because that seems to be all they do really apart from counting their money!

Some people dive on the latest photo or appearance, precisely because both are rare enough. But maybe that is by design to keep our appetites whetted or something.

I don't care enough about them to be angry about them, but I'm of the firm belief that a healthy dose of cynicism regarding their carefully managed PR and appearances is vital.

Ha ha! I got a camera for my 6th birthday - one of those little ones that took the very narrow film - and my photos were just like that, all background with a tiny person in the middle 😆

Although if you have a terminal cancer diagnosis what exactly are you nurturing beyond your diagnosis? 🤔

Dear me there are a lot of sour people on here this evening. Maybe it’s a photo taken by child that his mother thought was quite good for a six year old and she decided to put it on IG together with a message about a day that means something to her. But no, we have posters claiming that her PR advisers should have told her to strike a different pose, that it’s all just for PR anyway and that she is practically committing blasphemy because she is posing with her arms stuck out. What a lot of over thinking bollocks, nastiness and unjustified criticism of an innocent photo 🙄😆

I'm more of the view of 'live and let live' personally. These people aren't impinging on your lives in any way, and some of the comments made about a photo taken by a 6 year old little boy are a disgrace!
