The make-up is less glam and more drag.

You’re a piece of work, aren’t you?

Have you had chemotherapy? If so, when you did, did you have to present yourself in front of millions to be picked over?

Tell you what, post a photo of yourself here, for inconsequential strangers to critique.

No, didn’t think so.

Narinder Kaur said Kate Middleton has "aged so much" as she returned to royal duties following cancer treatment.

Gosh. How <ahem> tactless and unkind (and without any class) would one have to be to make such a comment and doubling down at first, then giving a fake and meek apology while attacking the troll farm she had directed at her. 🤔

Then again, Kaur could get a paid job with the Squad? She'd it right in.

Kate Middleton fans slam Ex Big Brother star for 'disgusting' remark

The former Big Brother star made the offensive comment on X yesterday as she reposted an article about the Princess of Wales attending Remembrance Sunday.

Never heard of Narinder Kaur. Just googled. Could make many comments about her appearance, but will refrain!

Suffice to say, I certainly wouldn’t be taking anything she said too seriously 😁

Thedom · 11/11/2024 12:21

Looks like this Narunder one is getting a pasting in that article linked about.

This comment says it all about the kind of person she is, pretty ugly character to say the least

"That’s what Narinder does, she says mean, sometimes racially-charged things which obviously attract the wrong sort of attention then cries about getting abuse herself.

It’s how she keeps in the public eye and it’s really tiring as she really does go out of her way to rile up unpleasant characters and she really does misrepresent the genuine criticism she gets - 99% of it is just people telling her she’s out of order but she’ll make out it’s all horrific racial and gender based abuse and threats."

upinaballoon · 11/11/2024 12:32

A few months ago, when Catherine made a statement, sitting on a seat, and without make-up, I said that she looked tired. She had shadows under her eyes. Another poster pointed out that in the photos of her as a little girl she has shadows under her eyes, and she does. The poster found a photo of her so that we could see.

I’d advise some not to live vicariously through the lives of people they do not know. Perhaps then you would not be so disturbed by the OBJETCIVE opinion of strangers.
Why you take offence to the description of drag is not something that’s going to preoccupy me this afternoon or any other time. I stand by the comment. I would add that her style was not a good example of imaginative creative expression. It was basic in its application, but DRAG all the same 😘

Port1aCastis · 11/11/2024 12:49

As I said who would want to be in a goldfish bowl like Kate, me the woman stepped out for an important event and gets ripped apart by internet nasties insulting her make-up (drag) her hair (too old for long hair) etc etc. Poor woman can't win but others who post all the nastiness should surely be taking a look at themselves

An opinion can never be OBJECTIVEMeant to add a link

I know it's a terribly old-fashioned opinion but I do think long hair starts to look a bit silly on anyone as they get older and I include her (and myself!) in that age bracket.

Bloody hell, what a nasty sour 🍋 comment

Thedom · 11/11/2024 13:01

The upside of those who are publicly criticising Catherine, is that it proves the support for her is absolutely overwhelming, it drowns out the small minority of those who make horrible unnecessary criticism of her. . Her popularity surges everytime there is something nasty and uncalled for written about her, it is heartwarming and reassuring to know how many decent people empathise with her, and really do care about her and all cancer sufferers.

Another one with the hyperbole. "A bit silly" is nasty and sour? It's a very mild observation. I spend most of the year overdue for a haircut as I loathe going so spend most of my time with my hair too long and yes, looking a bit silly.

Whwre are you saying the same about the nastiness posted about the other pair? Or is it just because it's Kate?

It isn’t obligatory for every poster to post on every thread about every royal with a defence of them. Maybe this poster hasn’t posted on a royal thread before and just came
across this one. Give over with the “why aren’t you defending Meghan?”insinuations. And why have you brought her up on a thread about the royals at remembrance anyway? Enough posters have been pointed out for doing just that 🤷‍♀️

BigWillyLittleTodger · 11/11/2024 13:22

Why do you keep bringing Harry and Meghan into it? This conversation isn’t about them, read the thread title, they were not at the remembrance service they are irrelevant to this thread.

Uricon2 · 11/11/2024 13:30

OK, I'll go there. If Meghan had had major surgery and chemotherapy for cancer in the last few months, I'd find comments about her makeup looking like "drag" just as unpleasant and would say so. Most people have enough taste and decency not to make sneering comments about the looks of someone who has been very ill in the recent past.

This is also a good point

It smacks of sour grapes. I’m not a Royalist but having a go at a woman who’s recently undergone treatment for cancer because her hair is just too long and “silly” is poor form.

So only if someone is ill is it hands off with the nastiness but if they aren't it's perfectly okay...

BigWillyLittleTodger · 11/11/2024 13:51

Why are you trying to de rail this thread, we are not interested in Meghan she wasn’t at the remembrance service so please can you stop derailing.

Spectre8 · 11/11/2024 13:48

You know the difference. People have (rightly) been pulled up for making very personal comments about Meghan's looks but it is on a whole other level when someone is not apparently living their best life but recovering from cancer and it is immaterial who that person is. All of us know people who've been through similar experiences and the toll it can take on their appearance and snide jibes about "drag" makeup when it's quite clear Kate was just making an effort to look OK and like herself are wrong.

Uricon2 · 11/11/2024 13:57

Anyway, I thought Kate looked great, as did Sophie, not that their hair/makeup and frocks are important at Remembrance commemorations.

I expect if you wanted to trawl through threads about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex you would find a few posts of mine which were quite nice but this thread is not about them so not necessary to bring them up

OBJETCIVE opinion

The other day someone started a thread asking what oxymoron is.

This is it.
