What to make of the fact that he appeared without Meghan and looked quite anxious and stressed?

Well he's used to Meghan holding his hand like a toddler and pulling him around, telling him where to go. He's probably anxious because he feels like a fish out of water without her nagging him down his ear

CathyorClaire · 23/09/2024 20:32

Did he?

I can't keep up. Do you have a link?

In the meantime I suppose he might be worried about the possibility of another near catastrophic car chase or something?

SpanielPaws · 23/09/2024 20:32

He didn't have his handler.

She's still sulking after being banned from Kevin Costner's shindig, she'd spent the whole of the last year writing a wordsalad special for the unwashed to listen to her greatness.

EdithWeston · 23/09/2024 20:41

I haven't seen any coverage yet.

Are there videos (of decent length) or is this extrapolation from a few stills? If the latter, who is choosing which stills are published?
(I'm a bit cynical, not least since KateGate, about still photos being a fair representation)

HamSad · 23/09/2024 20:44

She's convinced him that he can't cope without her.

ThePoshUns · 23/09/2024 20:57

I haven't watched it all as he goes on a bit but the 'royal rogue' has 'analysed' Harry's appearance.
He does seem lost without Meghan dragging him around.

MadinMarch · 23/09/2024 21:04

It's probably the coke come down after his birthday celebrations...

ThePoshUns · 23/09/2024 21:27

He does look sweaty and jittery

AutumnCrow · 23/09/2024 21:32

Can you effectively analyse a drug user without knowing what stage of drug taking they’re currently in?

Makingwaves2 · 23/09/2024 22:00

He certainly seems disengaged , nervy and out of his comfort zone.

He was nervy and panicky at the ESPY awards, too. Looked to me then like he was either on something or on the verge of a panic attack.

I agree

I wonder if it has dawned on him that he is cannon fodder / human shield wheeled out to take the blows for MM misdemeanors whilst she gets to go to ground.

He has a lot ahead of him this week under public scrutiny - then over to the UK.

Maybe the scales are falling from his eyes.

Maybe no one showed up for his lads holiday.

Makingwaves2 · 23/09/2024 22:48

Yes what happened about the lads holiday I wonder.

He never enjoyed this, the only one he seemed comfortable with has been Invictus. He looks awkward and out of his depth mainly as he is out of his depth. He struggles with subjects that he cannot use his cheeky chap persona,

BruFord · 23/09/2024 23:24

I’ve made my share of catty remarks about them in the past, but I’m glad that he’s doing something independently for a change. He needs some concrete goals in his life, and helping to promote this type of cause is better the pseudo-Royal boondoggles to Nigeria and Colombia, IMHO.

There’s no shame in being nervous about public speaking, many people are.

BemusedAmerican · 23/09/2024 23:49

This week is one of our major gridlock alert weeks since the UN is in town. We still have protests and lots of construction. Harry is used to zipping around in military convoys. He is probably in shock from being stuck in midtown traffic:

ClosingTheDoorOnThePast · 24/09/2024 00:03

He sounds like he's got a dry mouth in that speech and licking his lips, he's anxious for sure. Maybe he's starting to read the room?

forevernumb · 24/09/2024 00:24

Just watched the presentation and as usual he is just spouting words - hope, activism, solutions, problems , inspiration blah blah and of course my mother Diana 🥱 . I thought he was quite rude not to stay standing while the young ladies came on the stage. It would be a normal thing to do irrespective of sex.

DotPotato · 24/09/2024 00:33

Maybe he’s on a massive come down from his birthday bender weekend?

Being there tonight certainly doesn’t give him much recovery time does it.

What was all the blather about hope for the young as well? I honestly don’t know what he’s doing there at those events. He adds nothing.

Give it a rest ffs
Some of you really want Harry to be depressed.
You can’t fathom that he might be tired or having a bad day ( like many of us) or that he might actually be happy. Every facial expression is analysed to death. If he smiles you say he is faking it. Absolutely ridiculous and funny at the same time.
Some of you just love to paint Meghan as this kind of manipulative Lady Macbeth figure. You continue to infantilise a forty year old man.

This man and his wife appear Ito be very content in the US. He had made this clear on many occasions but his detractors are trying to prove otherwise
His detractors want him to come back to the royal fold with his tail between his legs. I honestly can’t see that happening any time soon .
The royal family is unravelling and Harry and Meghan would have been one of our biggest assets on the world stage. It really is such a shame that some senior members of the royal family allowed their jealousy of the couple to overwhelm them.

Makingwaves2 · 24/09/2024 05:50

Honestly, no one wants him back as a Working Royal.
Both of them were and are completely unfit for the role. Nothing to be jealous of either. I genuinely wish them happiness, it’s just jaw dropping how they seem determined to blow themselves up in pursuit of fame and money. They could easily live quietly under the radar and build a happy family unit. Instead they are both determined to monetise their links to the RF at every opportunity for personal gain. They could both be doing good work for charity without making themselves and their lecturing on subjects they know nothing about the focus.

TheActualAudacity · 24/09/2024 05:56

I’d have him back as a working member of the family. No more nutty than the rest of them. I quite like him.
