Somewhat more even-keeled coverage of Prince Harry at 40 from Caroline Davies at The Guardian.

Arguably understated quite a few of Harry's recent achievements, eg Spare being the 2023 Nr 1 UK bestseller, or the phenomenal growth of Harry's Invictus Games which will now have 25 countries participating in Whistler/Vancouver February 2025. Little or no mention of the numerous awards Harry has won, eg most recently his ESPY Pat Tilman Award for Service and being named a Living Legend of Aviation, etc.

Anyway, nice to see an attempt at painting a more balanced, perhaps less hysterically rabidly negative picture...

Enjoy!

Prince Harry at 40: the difference a decade has made to the duke’s life

Living among film stars and estranged from his father and brother, Harry’s milestone birthday may bring moment of reflection

Nacho calls Harry his "brother"? He needs to exercise caution, bearing in mind how Harry has treated his own brother.

It’s good that Nacho’s MAGA support hasn’t hurt their bromance.

Is Nacho a Trump supporter?

Hollywood Reporter is a gossip magazine and Penske has strong friendly associations with Murdoch. Doesn’t take much to see that a pot is being stirred with the DD moniker.

Apoplectic certainly seems to describe some posters on here. 😂 who are delirious in trying to keep up the wonderful life of the Sussexes.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 17/09/2024 20:02

So does anyone know if Harry's still supposed to be going on this "lads' holiday" or was that also silly tabloid speculation ...?

I think that info came directly from the horses mouth - not seen anything since THR expose - so maybe there has been a change of plan? I expect we will see the photos in due course.

Americanpseudoroyaltorture · 17/09/2024 20:23

Maybe P Diddy's arrest put the kibosh on it. One of Harry's friends is Chris Jenner's toyboy, who counts PD as a father figure. Harry was on a skiing holiday with that fellow when he phoned in late for the Diana Awards.

Ah, thanks Hoopper; I honestly didn't know that, and as you say there'll doubtless be photos if it does happen (though hopefully not Vegas-style todger ones!!)

forevernumb · 18/09/2024 00:01

Did someone mention Vegas? He has a type it seems.

Oh my god, those Vegas pics 🤢

forevernumb · 18/09/2024 20:44

What happens in Vegas doesn't stay in Vegas! He's such a cheeky chappy!

Keep it classy.

AutumnCrow · 18/09/2024 22:53

God he really seemed so juvenile and boorish at the same time.

PoppysAunt · 19/09/2024 07:38

What a catch!

CoffeeCantata · 19/09/2024 08:17

He's embarrassing, isn't he?

I assume he's having a go at the poor security man in the first pic. He punched one (as well as the drummer from Foo Fighters) just for fun, apparently. Well, it IS enormous fun, isn't it, to punch these menials - and an honour for them, too.

He doesn't fool me!

This is worth a quick listen - basically clues to PH shocking behaviour way before MM from Courtiers / Valentine Low.

No worries - I’ll have a look on You Tube.

I quite like Shauna the ‘Vintage Read’ and her book reviews. She’s very articulate and fair about the books she reads and reports back on.

Wow. That's quite a watch. I remember there was a lot of discussion about Courtiers on here when it came out, but I don't remember any of that. I think the worst part was both H and M shouting down the phone to a staff member. Absolutely appalling.

Hoopper · 19/09/2024 11:41

I think thats whats really interesting - that these key very telling paragraphs were missed / lost in all the other detail and noise at the time. Its showing that it wasnt that simple, black & white - that previously fun, kind Harry was taken over by demanding Meghan - his own poor behaviour and bulling as there all along. Seems they both amplified each others worst traits.

forevernumb · 20/09/2024 13:02

It's interesting that they said he was full of ideas but was never able to put them together and this is what his staff at the Palace used to do. Sounds familiar except he doesn't have the Palace stuff now.

Yes like his suggestion to interview Putin about his childhood trauma.

The delusion ..... no wonder he was called a 'f**king grifter'
