She has released a video to state that she has completed her cancer treatment.

“As the summer comes to an end, I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have finally completed my chemotherapy treatment. The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family. Life as you know it can change in an instant and we have had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and road unknown."

Also, it’s a lovely video of Catherine and the family. I liked it when the kids were talking into the camera to see if it was on and filming.

Very moving video and lovely to see her and William and the whole family so close.

GrouchyKiwi · 09/09/2024 16:38

It was a surprisingly personal and intimate video. Quite lovely.

kezzykicks · 09/09/2024 16:38

It's a really beautiful and honest video.

Yes, agree. Surprisingly intimate.

rockingbird · 09/09/2024 16:39

Very moving video, brought me to tears. Such a beautiful family ❤️

Clearinguptheclutter · 09/09/2024 16:39

It’s indeed a very nice video but incredibly “slick” and clearly very professionally produced.
possibly a bit OTT IMO

If I was in her shoes I think I’d just do a short written statement and leave it at that!

good news anyway

Mummyoflittledragon · 09/09/2024 16:39

Fabulous. ❤️

omega4ever · 09/09/2024 16:40

It was very beautiful and honest and thoughtful.
It made me cry a little.
I didn't expect that reaction.

Thoughts to everyone fighting cancer and hope for improved treatments .

Gooseysgirl · 09/09/2024 16:42

I agree it's a bit OTT, but I'm glad her chemo is complete. Maybe they want to avoid a return to all the insane conspiracy theories from earlier this year and felt that this was the best way to do that. It's beautifully shot.

User77655566 · 09/09/2024 16:42

I liked it. Very much 💗
If you read this Catherine, as strong women, we stand behind you, we support you

Hazeby · 09/09/2024 16:43

I like them but it think it was a bit much to
be honest. Bit cringe. Wish her well though and glad she’s in a position to make it, that’s the important thing.

Hedgerow2 · 09/09/2024 16:44

Agree it's a bit slick. But very honest, moving and brave.

Narcissisticflipflop · 09/09/2024 16:44

I loved it, made me quite emotional actually

TokyoSushi · 09/09/2024 16:46

It's very slick, but also very well done, lovely!

friendshipover24 · 09/09/2024 16:46

@Clearinguptheclutter I think it was necessary or the speculation would have been ridiculous.

Yes, it looked incredibly over-produced, like a blandly expensive video for a Christian rock band, but I suppose they don’t want a repeat of the badly photoshopped photo furore.

ThePoshUns · 09/09/2024 16:48

It is slick but very moving.
It sounds like she has been very unwell, I think the video is to put an end to all the speculation about her health and her marriage.
I really wish her well.

itsnotabouthepasta · 09/09/2024 16:49

that was lovely. It made me really cry - just seeing the juxtaposition of knowing she's been through something really awful yet seeing how close the whole family is. There's so many other families going through exactly the same scenario, and it really demonstrated that it wasn't just Catherine going through it, it was also William, the children and her parents and siblings.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 09/09/2024 16:50

A surprisingly intimate video beautifully done, but mainly it's just good news to hear she's finished the chemo

Here's hoping she remains well and that this awful period can remain firmly in the past

Pipsquiggle · 09/09/2024 16:52

I am glad she is getting better.

Nice to see them interact as a family but the music made it twee and over-sentimental as did the posing and the looking into William's eyes.

The most authentic bit was when the DC were saying 'hello' into the camera.

PrettyFlyforaMaiTai · 09/09/2024 16:54

I get why some people think it’s a bit OTT. But at the same time, I can understand why they’ve done it like this after the shit storm that happened last time. I don’t think people would have been satisfied with a short written statement, just like they weren’t last time. They can never really win.

It is beautiful edited and very intimate. I personally loved it.

I liked the video and got upset listening to her due to what we are going through as a family and she summed up exactly what it is like, my mum is stage 4 cancer and like Catherine has been through 9 months of gruelling chemo plus major surgery

She like Catherine is just starting to try and navigate a cancer free life whilst knowing it could always come back, mum has got one final day of chemo and then it’s a maintenance drug, it’s been really difficult for us as a family supporting mum so I don’t know how the Wales family have coped as they have young children and knowing Charles also has been receiving cancer treatment too, for anyone on her going through cancer or supporting a cancer patient good luck with the whole cancer journey it is fucking awful

BigCroc · 09/09/2024 16:57

Could have done with a mascara warning 😭
I thought it was beautiful, it’s her health and family so she can communicate the message however she wants, she owes us nothing.

exprecis · 09/09/2024 16:58

I couldn't decide whether it was more like a life insurance advert - the cheesy voice over - or a tampon advert, the white dress running free through the fields 🤔
