Why do Harry and Meghan tell porkies that are so easy to prove wrong?

Starting with the porkie that Archie wasn’t gonna be titled. Anyone who understands the Letters Patent would know that as long as the Queen was alive this was never gonna happen. I said this when watching the Oprah interview and I’m pretty appalled they told such an easily provable lie.

Then Harry said that daddy cut his security off. Anyone who knows about RAVEC knows it is independent of the Royal Family and Charles couldn’t do this if he tried. Same with “Only titled people get security” / this was so easy to prove wrong.

And why are there 2 versions of the proposal story. Did they think we wouldn’t notice? Is one a Hollywood version for their American audience?

The same with the ‘how they met’ story - in their engagement interview they said it was a blind date, to Netflix they met on Instagram.

I also was puzzled at her saying she never wore bright colours and that royal women could never wear the same colour as the Queen. It’s just nonsense. See below pictures.

Why do they do this? My theory is that everything they do now is for an American audience who are used to the reality TV narrative of “Some scenes have been created for entertainment” style TV and just accept their narrative as partly fictional, as long as it’s entertaining?

I think William should change it again when he’s King so that only grandchildren of the heir (of either sex) are titled Prince / Princess. So Louis and Charlotte’s children are not given it.

That only affects Louis of course as Charlotte would be in the same position as Anne - unless something happened to George.

But as Louis and his children will be lower down the succession than Charlotte and her children it doesn’t make sense for them to be Prince and Princess.

@YaMuvva I know little about them (and care less tbh) but that picture in your op of Kate and the Queen in the same colour? They're both quite clearly saying to William "You told me she was wearing GREEN!" The scowl is right there. He's proper in the dog house.

I doubt it. I don’t think William is the fashion guru on the RF 😂

That is what will happen

This idea that there are 2 realities for the different press spheres makes sense. But H&M and their people are just not quite clever enough to make it work for them.

H&M address the US market but the UK/Aus press picks it up and then the UK readers react and the ABC has to defend his job!

But loads of Brits (and Americans) would remember practising their wedding vows without ever fully sealing the deal. Quite the opposite in fact with careful dodges to avoid that so on the day it was the real thing.

If you could have the third best seat at every event just by turning up and being charming, would you? Harry decided not to go that route. That's why UK ladies gave up on him (Cressida, et al)

The first word I recognised that my 10mos old was saying was 'nanah' by which she meant banana. I think she must have been saying loads of other words before that but I was not expecting to hear them so missed it. Maybe she said 'crocodile'. (The old wives say that a baby's first word is the key to its personality ... )

Maybe Angela Kelly sent out a cryptic - ‘it’s blue’ note meaning That’s what the boss is wearing - and everyone else thought it meant that’s what the dress code is.

That Ascot was a weird one though - loads of them were in light blue or a shade of blue or had blue accessories.

Unless it was on purpose!
Gorgeous dresses all round. Is it periwinkle? Lovely colour

I can’t stand liars.

I especially dislike those who lie to hurt others.

And I too am here for the humour.

Conservatory? I’ll think you’ll find it’s far more middle class to teach your child to say “orangery”

My third word wasn’t far off. 🤣

As for crocodile? I can maybe see that. In a kwokadyal style.

Not hydrate though. That’s pish.

LumpiBolleaux · 28/05/2024 20:06

Was Sentebale another early word?

Or Chair?

Or of?

Is he?? How is he ND? I didn’t know this.

Because he isn’t. Or if he is, he’s never shared it with the public. It’s just something currently put about by his fan base to excuse his batshit behaviour.

loopylou3030 · 28/05/2024 20:21

She is just a liar. The same as her posting on her now defunct blog The Tig that her dear Daddy paid for her college education and how supportive he was blah blah and the best Daddy in the world. Then giving a talk afterwards to a group of girls about how she alone paid for her college education without help and how they, like her can do anything they want by themselves. Such a load of rubbish. That is just one example of her love of untruths, there are many more.

Getonwitit · 28/05/2024 20:21

Keffie12 So you are say the Arch Bishop is a liar and H&M did get married a few days before. If that is the case the Police need to be involved.

Archbishop debunked that one very firmly.

ADHD - he's said so in an interview. It was obvious to me as soon as I heard the stuff coming out in Spare, I said as much to my OH, classic oversharing.

I'd hazard a guess that he's not the only member of the RF who's ND. It runs in families including mine.

What? Harry said in an interview that he has ADHD??

Rippledipple · 28/05/2024 20:31

Sarah2891 · 28/05/2024 16:31

Harry has never said he is ND, stop making things up.

He said in an interview he had ADHD. Try googling before being so damn rude and making a fool of yourself in the process. If you can quote me when you apologise, I'll get the notification. Thanks

Harry didn't say he had ADHD.

OneHeartySnail · 28/05/2024 20:33

Gabor Mate diagnosed Harry as ADHD in their interview. I don't think Harry has said that? @Rippledipple could you.link the interview?

I can’t find this interview - can you remember which one it was? Or link to it?

Crispsginchoc · 28/05/2024 20:33

Another one who can't stand liars.
However, the modern day court jesters of Harry and Megan provide plenty of light entertainment and chuckles when the world is in a bit of a pickle.

Another lie Megan told was before Megan met Harry - well that we know of - and she cadged a freebie holiday to Malta paid for by Elle magazine, to explore and write about her "Maltese heritage and where her ggg grandmother was from". Turns out her ggg grandmother was only born there, but to a British soldier who was posted in Ireland, met an Irish lady whom he married and was then posted to Malta. So no Maltese blood at all.

I think Elle rumbled the con and that was when the article changed and instead Megan wrote about being mixed race and how she experienced racist tweets when she was in Suits (season 2 whatever year that was), when her characters father was introduced who was black. Apparently the article about Malta was then only posted on her tig blog.

I agree with a previous poster, that Megan has probably always told slight porkies and got away with it. Now she receives scrutiny, it's not so easy to tell lies without being pulled up on them - particularly when she's slagging off entire nations.

Also Harry reckons Archie’s first word was ‘crocodile’ and that is just unbelievable, of all the lies they tell this one always annoys me most for some reason 😆

I thought it was hydrated

LumpiBolleaux · 28/05/2024 20:36

Oh she’ll be Maltese again quick enough if she gets a title out of it.

Or Irish.

He hasn’t said it himself has had an unethical diagnosis from afar
