Why do Harry and Meghan tell porkies that are so easy to prove wrong?

YaMuvva · 28/05/2024 15:44

Starting with the porkie that Archie wasn’t gonna be titled. Anyone who understands the Letters Patent would know that as long as the Queen was alive this was never gonna happen. I said this when watching the Oprah interview and I’m pretty appalled they told such an easily provable lie.

Then Harry said that daddy cut his security off. Anyone who knows about RAVEC knows it is independent of the Royal Family and Charles couldn’t do this if he tried. Same with “Only titled people get security” / this was so easy to prove wrong.

And why are there 2 versions of the proposal story. Did they think we wouldn’t notice? Is one a Hollywood version for their American audience?

The same with the ‘how they met’ story - in their engagement interview they said it was a blind date, to Netflix they met on Instagram.

I also was puzzled at her saying she never wore bright colours and that royal women could never wear the same colour as the Queen. It’s just nonsense. See below pictures.

Why do they do this? My theory is that everything they do now is for an American audience who are used to the reality TV narrative of “Some scenes have been created for entertainment” style TV and just accept their narrative as partly fictional, as long as it’s entertaining?

None of us know do we, that’s the entire point of gossip and speculation.

And they then said “Oh we meant it in a spiritual sense”. Which is what dodgy people do when they get caught out - they play semantics

That was a lie too. She claimed it was just the two of them and the archbishop in a private ceremony. She was clearly saying they were officially married before the big wedding, and Oprah lapped it up. And I believe Oprah has removed that interview from her website.

No its nothing to do with looks

H&M keep themselves in the public eye, keep being controversial & keep lying. That means there's things to talk about

Andrew is only seen at family events. What would be the point of a thread about him. We're all in agreement that he's a horrible person. A thread with 20 pages of people agreeing he's horrible would be very boring .

Calling Camilla a home wrecker now is just boring. There's so much water gone under the bridge since then. Her & Charles have been together decades now. Again, there's nothing contraversial about her now. She's done a bloody good job recently stepping up for Charles & the Wales' It seems to be only Diana fans who Labour the homewrecker/OW aspect. Ironic when Diana was a homewrecker/OW on several occasions

If H&M had gone for the quiet life they supposedly wanted, there would be nothing to talk about with them either. But they don't. They're one controversy after another THATS why they're talked about

Fuck all to do with jealousy 🙄

@keffie12
I haven't read all of your points, but I can assure you that I have read "Spare". I have also seen the Oprah interview, the Netflix "documentary" and other magazine interviews. The Cut is an absolute cracker - if you haven't read it, do!
In other words - it's all from them. No-one else.
Charles didn't pull security because it's organised by the Royal Protection squad - he doesn't make that decision.
Plus: Harry has never had any security "pulled".

wordler · 28/05/2024 17:34

Well - was it crocodile or grandma?

Prince Harry has shared the sweet way his late mother Princess Diana was involved in his son Archie saying his first word. In his new AppleTV+ docuseries The Me You Can't Seerecalled the milestone.
During episode five, the royal explained that Archie's nursery has a photo of Princess Diana hanging on the wall. That's when he revealed Archie's first word was "grandma."
^^
"I got a photo of her in his nursery, and it was one of the first words that he said — apart from 'mama,' 'papa,' it was then 'grandma'. Grandma Diana," Harry said per Hello Magazine. "It's the sweetest thing, but at the same time, it makes me really sad because she should be here."

Of course, it's fascinating to observe two of the most privileged people on the planet complain about everything that is wrong in their life,

house not big enough
not paid enough
not liked enough
wedding not good enough
dad stopped their allowance
take freebies from people they never met before,
explain the fun of taking street drugs,
call other people names
complain about others and then do the same things themselves

So much to continue to keep us intrigued and amused.

Camilla and Charles’s story arc is a bit ordinary though - they messed up by not waiting for each other the first time - tried and failed to make it work with other people and ended up back together in the end.

And what’s to discuss about Andrew - he’s awful. No debate. He’s not currently doing anything worth discussing - if he was then I’m sure they’d be loads of threads about him too.

Meghan and Harry keep doing and saying fascinatingly odd things - it’s very entertaining.

That’s it with Andrew he’s shuffled off into obscurity where he belongs. He’s been exposed as partaking in sex trafficking, he probably won’t see justice. There’s not loads to say anymore.

Well, see above, in the James Cordon interview for SNL, he says Archie’s first word is ‘crocodile’. Then in a later interview it’s ‘grandma Diana’. They can’t both be true.

Doubtful either of them were around to hear the first word from their children anyway.

Also the whole curtesy on the first time meeting the late Queen thing, Meghan said Harry had told her she had to curtesy and Fergie had been the one to quickly show her how to do it. Then in the Netflix doc it’s a whole other story with her sweeping to the floor in the most ridiculous overblown gesture imaginable. Harry actually looked pretty uncomfortable when she said that, probably because it was purely for dramatic effect and was absolute bullshit.

IdoldeWagner · 28/05/2024 17:18

It's always good 👍
I'm here for the additional lies - didn't Harry say that his father never took him out on a bicycle ride, and it took about 1.5 mins on the internet to find a picture of....Harry as a boy on a bicycle with Charles....🙄

I think this is where the absence of a cracking press team is really obvious. Before he spouted something like that someone will have done fact checking. Same with his book which is riddled with lies.

I am because no one wanted to talk about what the First Lady of Nigeria said. 🫤

Nah, I’m good looking too.
As is Camilla IMO.
I don’t like grifters. I couldn’t give a fuck if Charles’s like Diana, had a bit on the side.

Interesting how you go to the sexist trope of “Oh you must be JEALOUS”. And the sexist home wrecker trope. Yawn

Load of bolleaux. Meghan said they got married 3 days before their actual wedding (you remember, the £30million, televised job with crowds of well wishes and her new father in law walking her down the aisle).

If she'd said they'd had a quiet moment in the garden exchanging some personal vows before the big day, no-one would have thought anything of it. But to claim this was their actual marriage - what a crock. And if it was what they believed to be their proper marriage why go through the charade at St George's Chapel? Could it be that Meghan didn't want to be not really married to Harry, she wanted it signed, sealed, delivered, and understood exactly when her real marriage took place.

As for her 'no-one knows this', well love, no-one knew it until you decided to spill it all over Oprah, so it can't have been so very important to you to keep it as a lovely personal thing between you and Harry (and the archbish).

CoffeeCantata · 28/05/2024 17:46

Keffie12

I don't care what you think about what your daughter has done. You do not do what he did and talk to the press. Would you do it?

No, I wouldn't. I would never wash family dirty linen in public. I'd take up any issues in private.

But that's just what H & M did with the RF. They tried to destroy them on a world stage. Absolutely unforgivable, I agree with you.

RicePuddingWithCinnamon · 28/05/2024 17:47

Didn’t they say that they got married the night before the big wedding on the Oprah interview? I never believed that.

Makemydaypunk · 28/05/2024 17:47

Meghan’s passport was taken away from her, yet she managed to jet around the world, New York baby shower anyone?

Louloulouenna · 28/05/2024 17:50

@Thedom that’s what fascinates me - two of the most privileged people on earth who complain so much. I don’t think I’ve ever heard them acknowledge how lucky and privileged they are compared to the 99.99999% of the world.

YaMuvva · 28/05/2024 17:53

Makemydaypunk · 28/05/2024 17:23

Lets get out the Bingo card

But what about Andrew?
But what about Camilla?
You are jealous
You must be bored
Forelock tugger
Cap doffer
Anymore for anymore?

Bowing Peasant? That’s always a favourite of mine
