Why do Harry and Meghan tell porkies that are so easy to prove wrong?

YaMuvva · 28/05/2024 15:44

Starting with the porkie that Archie wasn’t gonna be titled. Anyone who understands the Letters Patent would know that as long as the Queen was alive this was never gonna happen. I said this when watching the Oprah interview and I’m pretty appalled they told such an easily provable lie.

Then Harry said that daddy cut his security off. Anyone who knows about RAVEC knows it is independent of the Royal Family and Charles couldn’t do this if he tried. Same with “Only titled people get security” / this was so easy to prove wrong.

And why are there 2 versions of the proposal story. Did they think we wouldn’t notice? Is one a Hollywood version for their American audience?

The same with the ‘how they met’ story - in their engagement interview they said it was a blind date, to Netflix they met on Instagram.

I also was puzzled at her saying she never wore bright colours and that royal women could never wear the same colour as the Queen. It’s just nonsense. See below pictures.

Why do they do this? My theory is that everything they do now is for an American audience who are used to the reality TV narrative of “Some scenes have been created for entertainment” style TV and just accept their narrative as partly fictional, as long as it’s entertaining?

There could be no thread if there were not so may lies and misrepresentations.

This thread isn't based on gossip (nasty or otherwise) but things that they have actually said and done

Please start a thread 2 @YaMuvva

Porkies and Pomposity, thread 2 ????

@yamuvva, @CantDealwithChristmas

Think those two words totally sum up the discussion to be had.

Apparently the Chinese embassy saw Rosey with stolen goods in her house! Ever since they started trying to soft launch her, and it went left, but somehow its back on track now and they are persevering with trying to ingatratiate her with the public. We shall be seeing a lot of her in the very near future

YaMuvva asked me for links. I’m answering her.

If you have a problem with my posts report me to mumsnet.

Where does the ‘reportage’ of these ‘lies’ come from? The media. And social media (I have a lot to say about sm too).

Politely requesting you scroll past my posts if they bother you.

I know how mumsnet works I don’t need instructions from you, and no I won’t scroll on by because you don’t like being challenged on your derailment, I prefer things to be on here out on the open for all to see. I note you are trying to imply that it’s the media who are spouting lies when in fact they are just reporting what comes out of the liars own mouths, how about you address each lie raised on this thread and explain how it’s all the medias fault?

MaturingCheeseball · 30/05/2024 11:25

Makes me wonder what these SS people are like in real life. Young? Middle-aged? Horrid all the time? Just venting on sm? Truly devoted to H&M or just enjoying the mean girl pack dynamic?

(And for the umpteenth time the reverse is not the same.)

Porkies, Perfidies & Pomposity has a lovely ring to it I think!

Grin

Always like a spoof post

Whatever she is like, whether you like her or not, I think her clothing choices do reflect something negative about her personality. Her very inappropriate clothing in Nigeria, the off the shoulder number at a talk with bereaved parents, the shorts that were shorter than her jacket while marching in front of soldiers at Invictus. These behaviours, if nothing else, tell me something is ‘off’ about her.

From what I have seen on photos of the SS and on posts elsewhere they tend to be young women of colour from various countries who have been drawn to the cause in the name of " racism". They want to support a sister who is attacked because of racism and nothing else.

Gorgonemilezola · 30/05/2024 11:41

If that's what they want to do, then why are they spouting vicious lies and spreading unverified rumours about the Princess of Wales? Is that what supportive women do? Is that how they combat perceived racism. Kate has never done anything to justify the hate, callousness, sheer nastiness of the Sussex Squad.

The Squaddies modus operandi is to spout unverified shite. As can be seen from various posts on here.

MummyJ12 · 30/05/2024 11:45

I really wish we could block or mute some posters like you can on X rather than having to scroll through the squad's nasty bile.

We know what at least two of the squad look like from them being part of their entourage.

The 'sister' who extolls jubilantly and proudly about her daughter with 'blue, blue eyes' !

My MIL spent a whole year wondering if our mixed race child would keep the blue eyes, it is seen as something valuable in a lot of cultures.

I think she just can't afford a really A-List stylist. If you look at the Royals, every single stitch of their outfits and accessories say something, whether it's something pointed, profound or just something neutral. And that's because the words the Royals say have to be fairly anodyne, so they use their clothes to speak and sometimes to express their true opinions.

Meghan doesn't have the smarts to study the semiotics of clothing or even to understand that there is such a thing, plus she can't afford a really elite stylist who would do the requisite thinking for her. So she just picks stuff based on a narcissistic idea of what looks good in her mirror, without stopping to think about what the outfit might be saying to the people she's meeting, whether it coheres with their cultural mores, and what signs and signals it will give to the wider world.

Apparently she's taken her under her wing adultress to alleged adul.... Well you catch my drift she's showing her the ropes, they are soft launching Rose, and there is no need to be so aggressive with me madam

“I can’t find any about Camilla coaching Rose Hanbury” is aggressive? What a wimp you are 😂 MADAM 😂😂
A lying wimp at that - how are you not embarrassed by yourself?

The “Chinese Embassy” 🤣🤣🤣🤣 do tell us more about who that is.

The only thing worse than a liar is a thick liar.

BTW @Ellaelle people have posted libellous claims on MN before and they have been successfully sued for doing so. MNHQ WILL hand over your details if asked. They’ve done it before. If I were you I’d be deleting your lies before you get sued.

You’re welcome for the heads up.

My dcs are mixed ethnicity. Ds1 was born with blonde hair and beautiful blue eyes. I got a lot of bitchy comments from women in my dh's home country about how they will change because those looks are very sought after there. (They didn't) When my DD was born here and my MIL came to visit, she told me her dm asked what colour my dd's eyes were. She really wanted a fair skinned girl with blue or green eyes. My dd actually takes after her df's side with lovely curly hair, olive skin and brown eyes. I have always told her to be proud of her looks.

I can’t afford a stylist either but I know how and when to dress appropriately. As I said, her clothing choices reflect something off about her personality/character. She’s not a clueless teenager, although she does appear to be a clueless 42 year old.

SirChenjins · 30/05/2024 12:16

Surely the fact H&M support the SS (and quite openly judging by that photo) shows they’re not nice people. I can understand (very well) why people don’t like H&M but I really can’t work out why some people do like them (I mean those not on the payroll). It’s a mystery for sure.

This is my problem with them. They completely support the vile people and their bullying. No one with an ounce of decency would do that.

CremeFresh · 30/05/2024 12:32

If someone representing or supporting me ,was spouting vile things about someone who is unwell , I would certainly be calling them out and cutting ties, I would want it known that they were not speaking on my behalf and that no matter how much I disliked the unwell person, I wouldn't wish ill on them. I just don't understand why H&M are allowing this to continue, it speaks volumes about them.

Some of the stuff these people say is so shocking I can’t understand why H&M are ok with it (silence is complicit in Harry’s own words).
