@twinklystar23 look up Mark Toth’s 2 articles in The Hill on this Nigeria visit and the Jamaica one. No doubt there will be another to follow!

MyFunnyDuckDuck · 14/05/2024 08:10

Are Archie and Lilibet also Nigerian royalty now their mother is a Nigerian princess?

twinklystar23 · 14/05/2024 08:10

Will do

Though she's essentially a British princess by marriage in the UK where the main religion is Christianity and KC being defender of the Christian faith. How can she also be a Muslim princess? What about Harry? It's mind boggling looking forward to replies but have to go to work now!

She’s a duchess, not a princess, and by marriage, she can be any religion she wishes. She is both estranged from the royal family and a non working royal. As can Harry, it’s Charles that can’t.

WatchOutMissMarpleIsAbout · 14/05/2024 08:11

No actual evidence but the SM comments about Russia and PoW amongst other things I’ve observed.

Brexit I think for me started opening my eyes as it’s clear a weaker Europe is better for say Russia and China.

Anothrr way to attack U.K. is through the RF create division within the constitutional monarchy is a start.

twinklystar23 · 14/05/2024 08:12

She's also princess Henry but given the duchess title upon marriage. Surely she would have to revoke one title or another ?

twinklystar23 · 14/05/2024 08:15

All entirely valid points Miss Marple and what I was thinking.

Yes Meghan is estranged as is Harry from the rf.and a non working (British) Royal but is holding a UK Royal and Christian title. So the there is a direct conflict in the two titles ?

I'm not sure being made a Nigerian Princess is a great idea given the association between Nigerian royalty and grifting...

It’s absolutely perfect!!

twinklystar23 · 14/05/2024 08:16

As they belong two two different religions in a country where Christians are being murdered.

I am beginning to wonder now if all the positive Daily Mail and tabloid reports about the trip, are actually a passive aggressive way to highlight how dreadful the tour really was.

I will not be surprised if things come out in the wash further down the road, I think it may be another one of their own goals, gets them headlines at the outset and then eventually the lies and manipulation begin to be exposed and it all crashes a little bit further down the slippery slope.

Yes the comments were very negative, and now they’ve got a head line about archewell in delinquency, with the ridiculous excuse the cheque was lost in the post. No one is put into delinquency for that, they missed three deadlines over 4 months, and sending a cheque doesn’t fix it, you need to file a cure for delinquency before irs lifted.

its also not just the cheque missing, the annual irs submission, and the renewal fee forms are also not submitted.

Mymilkshakebringsallthepapstomycar · 14/05/2024 08:43

@Thedom I think the positive coverage from the DM (which seem to me to be tinged with pisstake) will mean the Sussexes and their supporters can’t argue that the DM is exercising bias if negative stories do start coming out. We can see for ourselves on the thread about the tour that the DM articles are being accepted as unquestionably laudatory. Christopher Bouzy in particular has a long running beef with the DM and Richard Eden in particular on X. He’ll no doubt attack them if they run anything negative, and the DM can counter with their positivity throughout the tour. Saying that, they are never anything but complimentary about anything Invictus related, as seen in their coverage of Germany last year.

Janjk · 14/05/2024 08:45

The delinquency should be the impetus Charles needs to remove their titles. It's not acceptable that they have allowed this to happen. Harry is 5th in line to the throne. I suspect he's frightened of what they will do if he does.

JJathome · 14/05/2024 08:51

I suspect there is a reason it wasn’t filed. And that when the annual report is made public it’s going to be very very bad.

MaturingCheeseball · 14/05/2024 09:03

I read elsewhere that a surprisingly low amount of interest on their assets has been declared, giving rise to the suspicion that a large amount has been moved to a haven or used for “expenses”. I know all charities have expenses, some very questionable, but M&H are highly visible so you would have thought that their advisors would strive for absolute clarity.

Babybreath · 14/05/2024 09:08

What rights , if any, does a Nigerian princess have ?

notimagain · 14/05/2024 09:10

@Mymilkshakebringsallthepapstomycar

If Nigeria is close to China and Russian military, I wonder if they too use the practice of Kompromat?

I’m not sure the ties to Russia/China military are currently as close or as exclusive as some here are making out TBH but they are making inroads so caution is needed. On the economic side of things China are of course very interested in Nigeria as a source of raw materials…

As background you certainly used to see some Nigerian military undergoing training alongside UK Forces (at times in the UK) and this partnership is very much still ongoing:

MyFunnyDuckDuck · 14/05/2024 09:10

Charles needs to rip the plaster off and remove all titles but he needs to choose his timing well. Hopefully Catherine will recover and be able to resume royal duties before too long. I very much doubt that William has any significant skeletons in the cupboard although Charles may have many. Removing Harry and his family's titles will result in follow up books serving up more damaging content. This might result in Charles abdicating and William taking the throne. I think William will be more popular than Charles and soon enough George, Charlotte and Louis will be adults too and we have a whole new style royal family. Harry really is a has been and his titles need to be removed.

Thedom · 14/05/2024 09:12

i agree, I think it was purposely not submitted while they try to tidy up things which may not be looking so good.

Obviously they don't do the submissions or put the cheque in the post personally, maybe their Archewell staff are so overworked it's still on the 'to-do' list. Anyway, I doubt very much they are unaware of what is going on and the reason for it not being submitted.

So much for attention to detail.

Mymilkshakebringsallthepapstomycar · 14/05/2024 09:14

Do businesses and the IRS still send and accept cheques in the post? Isn’t it all electronic payments now?

MummyJ12 · 14/05/2024 09:15

The old “the cheque got lost in the post” excuse 😂 are we back in 1987?!

MrsDanversGlidesAgain · 14/05/2024 09:18

This might result in Charles abdicating and William taking the throne

Abdication is a very dirty word to the BRF. Charles has weathered a lot in his life, I can't see him chucking up the job he's waited and trained for all his life because Prince Petulant has another tantrum.

Vespanest · 14/05/2024 09:20

They use archewell for their own staff under the guise everything they do is for archewell. Nigeria was for invictus but Holt their highest paid employee accompanied them to Nigeria. Whilst delinquency shouldn’t impact wages it asks the questions who was paying all of his expenses and was he even needed.

MummyJ12 · 14/05/2024 09:23

There is something going on with Russia and China for sure. I just can’t link it together yet.
They have found that there were undoubtedly, a large amount of bots from both countries linked with spending the conspiracy theories about the Princess of Wales, that had originated from the Sussex Squad. Now there’s been this visit to Nigeria and their military links to Russia….. I don’t think that either of the Sussexes will be able to comprehend the complexities of the diplomatic situation here.

IAN GALLAGHER reflects on the Duchess' tour of Nigeria

https://mol.im/a/13414073

In this article there is a clip of Meghan being interviewed on a sofa wearing a red dress, and she says something along the lines of "no-one was surprised to discover I was Nigerian because Nigerian qualities are bravery, power, beauty etc"
I know she gets accused of being narcissistic and I've no idea if this is true but she seems so lacking in self awareness.
