Rose Hanbury denies rumours

US media are reporting that Rose Hanbury, Marchioness of Cholmondeley, has denied rumours of an affair with Prince William.

“Business Insider reached out to all parties involved with the affair scandal. While Kensington Palace “declined to comment,” Hanbury said through her lawyers that “the rumours are completely false.” This marks the first time that Hanbury has publicly said something about the affair ever since the rumors emerged”.

This looks like it was in response to a joke about William/Rose/Kate relationship on ‘The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’.

There are no so blind - or myopic - than them who refuse to see.

I've stated many times that Kates and William have a strong marriage. No marriage is a bed of roses 24/7 but this couple are good together and set a good example of a married couple with a young family. They fly the flag for England and they do that well. They are a credit to us.

I feel sorry for her. She isn't a public figure and now she's centre of a nasty media storm because some people are weirdly obsessed with the royal family.

Look at the poor nurse who died by suicide because the media thought it was a great idea to try and get details about Kate when she was a patient.

Yeah it might be false and it might be true. We can't know. Where was the denial reported?

Infidelity is pretty common among all social classes and often the person's partner is the last to know, let alone random strangers on the internet.

And I could be wrong, but I think the whole Jilly Cooper cliche of the upper classes happily shagging around belongs more to the days when aristocrat marriages tended to be arranged. Now, the toffs marry for love, much like the rest of us. That said, when you have lots of time on your hands and several discreet residences to choose from, I guess the opportunities are more frequent.

I still haven't got a clue what's going on in Kate and William's marriage however!
