Rose Hanbury denies rumours

US media are reporting that Rose Hanbury, Marchioness of Cholmondeley, has denied rumours of an affair with Prince William.

“Business Insider reached out to all parties involved with the affair scandal. While Kensington Palace “declined to comment,” Hanbury said through her lawyers that “the rumours are completely false.” This marks the first time that Hanbury has publicly said something about the affair ever since the rumors emerged”.

This looks like it was in response to a joke about William/Rose/Kate relationship on ‘The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’.

Posts about other threads and posters are frequently reported and removed. It’s not a threat, it’s a reminder that what you were asking was against the talk guidelines.

ok, seems a bit overkill... theres no need to report it though as I was responding to someone who was themselves talking about other threads and other posters. Surely the alluding to it is also wrong then!

God people can be so disgusting. The whole feeding frenzy surrounding all involved shows what a pathetic bunch some so-called grown ups are. They don’t care who they hurt as long as they get their fix of gossip.

If I were Kate I’d want to move far away as the idea of being Queen to so many morons would make me want to quit.

But I haven't said anything at all about Rose Hanbury, positive or negative, or indeed about anyone involved. I said there was a lot of gossip about the circumstances of her marriage, though far more about her husband than about her, from what I remember. He was the one with the reputation for being a playboy, and eternal bachelor.

I specifically said I have no idea, and very little interest in whether there's any truth to any of the rumours, then or now. But that the rumours existed is a well-established fact.

I believe she's good friends with Pippa M and has been spotted and photographed with her very recently. I think if she were the source of whatever is ailing KM at the moment then that would be the very last thing we could expect to see. I think everyone should just calm the fuck down.

Coren is the essence of Nepo baby. He's surfed his talented, connected and popular fathers coat tails his entire career, past death and without shame. Just such an entitled, bile spouting horrible disgusting, talentless little shit, hope he gets sued to high fucking heaven then has to interview for his next job based on his actual skills, prick.

I don't know the guy, I just know that I've read several times that he tweeted then pulled the initial tweet. It would be kind to everyone, especially the kids, if he told people to stop it. Six kids are involved in this mess. Most of them are old enough to access the Internet.

Hmm, I disagree. The H&M supporters are saying, quite rightly, that the British media didn’t extend the same courtesies to them as they are calling for in regards to W&K. I’m sure we’ve all seen the compare and contrast articles showing the difference in how they report on Kate in comparison to Meghan.

Even now, the BM are running hit pieces on H&M. They’ve left the country, so we do we need daily reports of their every cough and fart? We don’t, and the majority of us don’t want them either, but that’s not stopping the BM who will do anything for clicks and sales, and it goes beyond the Royal Family. The BM are shit stirrers, although I’m pretty sure someone will be along to say it’s all H&M’s fault and they deserve it…

Rose Hanbury is from a background where bedhopping is pretty much de rigueur, and where wealth, social norms and owning a lot of enormous properties mean that infidelity, unless it casts doubt on the paternity of an heir, is rarely the deal-breaker it is in Mn circles

And that's always been the case. Frances Osborne in her book The Bolter said that the aristocracy of the 19c and early 20c were brought up to believe that whatever you did in your marriage, marital fidelity was bourgeois. You might choose to be faithful, but there was no stigma attached to infidelity by your peers.

The point is a woman is being accused very publicly of infidelity when she says there's absolutely no foundation to the story and her children are being dragged into it and vile comments being made about them and their mother. She has every right to find that upsetting and distressing, both for herself and them.

Well I'm glad to hear that! He deserves to be sent to Siberia, nasty little toerag - not just for the 'rumour' business - he's just horrible through and through.

And I'd be writing to the BBC (or relevant channel...) if I saw him on the telly. It's so weird - I liked Alan Coren and Victoria seems like a reasonable person (or am I being naive??).

Nobody knows the truth about anything. And she could have addressed the rumours much earlier than this so it seems like someone leaned on her.

How awful. Imagine. Poor little Iris, imagine doing that to an innocent child as well.

Regarding Coren's original tweet, I saw a post on MN last week where a poster stated that he had been told about William's alleged affair with Rose Hanbury by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex at Soho Farmhouse. She offered no evidence for that statement. Another unfounded rumour adding to the tidal wave of misinformation and fake news.
