Oh the irony! The moral crusaders fighting the noble fight against press intrusion behind the mighty Montecito dragon slayer (well done that man! 👏😂) now baying for photos of young children being dropped off at school to be published so the masses can salivate and pick over every intimate detail.

Both weird and disgusting at the same time

😂😂😂😂😂😂

best post so far 👏

I wonder if they ever look at the likes of Twitter.

Not when something serious is going on, but generally.

I know in my house my older kids would be looking and yelling around “Hey dad, did you know you’ve bought two fields in x county?” “Mum, you’ve had more plastic surgery!”

It’s probably not wise to, but the temptation must be huge.

Serenster · 28/02/2024 11:57

Yet it's ok for you to amplify all the conspiracy theories?

I’m not the one hinting they are true, you will note.

👏

Hoolahoophop · 28/02/2024 12:03

From this thread the majority of senior royals want nothing more than to get out. Which must make them favorites with the republicans. I like that idea.

Serenster · 28/02/2024 12:03

And as a previous poster said, that is actually the most benign explanation for the weirdness

Or..you know…she might have had surgery for a medical condition and wants to recover in peace and privacy. That’s pretty benign.

Abitboring · 28/02/2024 12:04

I think a panic attack is as likely as the runs. Hopefully he's got access to counselling and got an extra session yesterday. I'd advise him to work through the family drama and his childhood etc. it was such a messed up upbringing anyone would suffer as an adult.

Panic attacks hit you out of nowhere. Doesn't mean that he was dreading the speech. It just means he couldn't function. They are scary. No doctor would advise to pop a pill and still go ahead. It's not good coping advice.

JaneJeffer · 28/02/2024 12:05

My money is still on Kate having said that she wants to bail.
Why would they say she's been in hospital if that is the case? How long will they keep pretending she's not well? When will they eventually say ok we lied about everything? How could they expect the public to think that was an acceptable lie?
🤪

Fair.

I think it’s safe to say there is a lot going on and there is a reason we are not being told anything.

Im so glad that Kate is able to have privacy at this time and nobody has laid eyes on her. I’d like to think of her sitting up in bed, watching the golden girls and laughing, ignoring the cruel world outside, people desperate for a photo of her during this difficult time.

YetMoreNewBeginnings · 28/02/2024 12:08

I don’t think William wants out. He wasn’t young when he had his children. He could have opted to not have any and let his line escape if he really wanted.

By the time the children were born he knew what he, and they, were facing.

Very few have ever jumped ship from the royal train. There are obviously times when it’s not fun, but I don’t think they’re all wishing every day they were just normal folks with normal lives.

I don't think it would be difficult at all for the Palace to say it was a partial truth but not the whole truth. As indeed it may be.

@3luckystars she's obviously starting threads on here and laughing her head off at all the theories

Yoyoban · 28/02/2024 12:08

My guess - one of the classmates of G/C/L started repeating gossip/speculation they'd heard from their parents and G/C/L got inconsolably upset thinking their Mum is going to die or similar (or they took a swing at the little gossiping classmate). It's probably a likelihood rather than a possibility that at least one of them is going to struggle at some point with their Mum and Grandad both being unwell currently.

stillavid · 28/02/2024 12:09

Say what you want, this is better than Eastenders/The Archers at the moment.

In all seriousness maybe there is more than one thing wrong with Kate, maybe it is medical and maybe as well she has just had enough and needed to take a break from it all for a while.

I agree.

And why would she agree to it? George and Charlotte are old enough to be aware of things said on social media and in the press. How could they explain "we're telling everybody that mummy is very ill, but don't worry, I'm not really. But everyone you come into contact with will think it, and you and your friends may see things online that say I'm going to die, but I promise I'm not. No need for you to worry, it's actually that we're getting divorced, and you can't tell anyone at all".

That would be genuinely psychotic parenting.

Well in that case Andrew will be the last one standing. He looked fine & comfortable at the helm yesterday. He ain't going nowhere.

I agree. My point was much more about if he wanted to jump ship, there is a real and seemingly insurmountable problem of who to pass his position onto. I think only Andrew would jump at the chance....

I suspect that as Kate and William have been looking around senior schools that its coming home how hard it is going to be for their children when they go off to board at 13 in this day of camera phones etc.

I really don't envy them their lives and really believe that William would be perfectly happy never to be King.

But if he is it will be a very different type of monarchy to previous ones.

ToffeeTalk · 28/02/2024 12:11

Yes he looked positively robust yesterday

Serenster · 28/02/2024 12:13

Offensively robust and full of “bonhomie”. Ugh.

Mumsnut · 28/02/2024 12:13

I was wondering if the RAVEC decision had anything to do with his absence - but I can't think what. H would have got the decision earlier than the public - maybe he had a bit of a meltdown, which might well be upsetting to his brother/father?

JaneJeffer · 28/02/2024 12:13

Andy and Fergie will remarry and become king and queen says a royal expert.

Serenster · 28/02/2024 12:13

Harry will have known about this decision for a week at least, so any meltdown would have been over and done with.
