I'm used to it

I simply asked you a question about how they could do it better but you couldn't give an answer. It's not picking a fight. It was a comment about your post.

LadyCynthiaFitzmelton · 28/02/2024 11:47

Oh go on. Pray do tell.

No

YetMoreNewBeginnings · 28/02/2024 11:50

I think part of the reason for the silence is setting their stall out in case of any future issues.

Many health issues are sorted in one go, but many aren’t. So in case Kate needs further surgery or time away I think the “she’ll be back around Easter and there won’t be constant updates” will be stuck to as close as possible (obviously they had to say something yesterday) so that there’s not a case of “well last time they said x but updated after y, but they haven’t this time”

Minikievs · 28/02/2024 11:32

Has anyone seen all the kids arrive at school this morning? That would remove the speculation of "G/C/L has broken their arm/leg/collar bone"

Surely there is a Lambrook parent on here 😁

mrsmingleton · 28/02/2024 11:50

Minikievs · 28/02/2024 11:49

@Serenster I didn't mean "spying" on little kids. But given the speculation and the press reports yesterday, just whether the Daily Fail had done a "oh look, the Wales children happily arriving at school"
That's all 🤷‍♀️

I believe there is a ban on stalking children.

As I explained...whatever I said you won't like.

But I have now answered you in full . Ok?

JaneJeffer · 28/02/2024 11:33

What are they saying?

Fasten your seatbelts, it’s going to be a bumpy flight. 🤣 The ludicrous hate-fiction on twitter includes:

Kate is perfectly fine and has never been ill, it’s all an elaborate cover for her and William separating/divorcing
Kate is at death’s door and currently in a coma
Kate was hospitalised because William harmed her (William being violent in secret has been a popular hate-fiction for a while)
Kate was hospitalised because she self-harmed
No-one visited Kate because her husband and family all hate her
Kate will never be seen in public again (also linked to - she’s fled or is dead - could be either. Or more niche - she’s had a mental breakdown and the Palace is trying to work out what to do with her)
William didn't attend yesterday’s memorial service because he was drunk (William being an alcoholic also a popular hate-fiction)
William didn’t attend yesterday’s memorial service because he was somehow involved in Thomas Kingston’s death (!!!)

All at the same time, and all so utterly bonkers!

A gentle reminder that we have been told that Kate had abdominal surgery, is recovering and doing well, but will not be undertaking public engagements again for some weeks, likely not until Easter. So we do know where she is….

LadyCynthiaFitzmelton · 28/02/2024 11:53

Roussette · 28/02/2024 11:49

No

Why not?

I’ve got a secret but I’m not going to tell you yarboosucks

MaggieFS · 28/02/2024 11:54

Surely releasing any sort of update or photo would just feed the vultures and they'd be no end. They said Kate won't be back at work until after Easter and that still stands. They did actually say her recovery was going well (my words) to quell that line of thought, and it hasn't worked anyway, so what would be the point in saying anything more. At what point would people stop asking? When she's wheeled out on a hospital bed from her home to wave at some paps?

I agree the PR has been poorly handled, but only with regards to all matters except her. On that, I've done the right thing and people just have to accept it.

Kinneddar · 28/02/2024 11:54

Spanish media are saying KM is in a coma

Oh they've been saying that since she was in hospital.

The Palace said all along she wouldn't be taking up duties til Easter & unless that changes there's no need to say anything else

I expect the statement yesterday that she was recovering well was they knew speculation would be William had cancelled due to her health

Twitter is disgusting with some of their theories. I've given up on it now

Roussette · 28/02/2024 11:55

My god Serenster if I posted that huge list of theories I would be jumped on from a great height and flamed by any number of posters

Yet it's ok for you to amplify all the conspiracy theories?

Just one would be nice.

jötunnn · 28/02/2024 11:56

Yes we are all also used to the vague insinuations and the wide eyed faux victim routine when challenged

Serenster · 28/02/2024 11:57

Surely releasing any sort of update or photo would just feed the vultures and they'd be no end.

Exactly. Why lean in to the madness?

YetMoreNewBeginnings · 28/02/2024 11:57

Some of the Twitter theories are so far fetched they make the tabloids look calm and considered in their reporting.

My favourite bonkers one was that Kate had donated a kidney to Charles and it had gone wrong.

A later addition to this was that Harry had flown over to donate one of his kidneys to Kate - now I know they have the best of healthcare but whipping out a kidney at Clarence House and then sending him back fit as a fiddle 24 hours later to the US is quite spectacular 😂

Serenster · 28/02/2024 11:57

Yet it's ok for you to amplify all the conspiracy theories?

I’m not the one hinting they are true, you will note.

mrsmingleton · 28/02/2024 11:57

Roussette · 28/02/2024 11:51

As I explained...whatever I said you won't like.

Yes you have but in the course of it, I have been accused of picking a fight by some other poster - not that you can help that of course BUT you did endorse their comment by saying " I am used to it" thereby confirming that that was your thought. ie that I was picking a fight with you. Only the other day you were commenting on how you hate it when people gang up on a poster and yet here you are today indulging in that.

I actually agree that a bit more info put out by the Palace would be "useful" but what can they really say? I don't agree though that pics of the children are needed as they are not normally photographed during term time I think.

StickyWickets · 28/02/2024 11:58

Oh the irony! The moral crusaders fighting the noble fight against press intrusion behind the mighty Montecito dragon slayer (well done that man! 👏😂) now baying for photos of young children being dropped off at school to be published so the masses can salivate and pick over every intimate detail.

Both weird and disgusting at the same time

Roussette · 28/02/2024 11:59

Serenster · 28/02/2024 11:57

Yet it's ok for you to amplify all the conspiracy theories?

You are giving them publicity by listing them all out

JaneJeffer · 28/02/2024 11:59

@Serenster Grin soap operas could never

Serenster · 28/02/2024 12:00

I tend to find sunlight is a great disinfectant.

Tbh, it was more fun when discussing lack of control over bodily functions 💩

@Serenster I'm beginning to think that William is to blame for everything 🙄

JaneJeffer · 28/02/2024 12:00

I see the cavalry has arrived

ToffeeTalk · 28/02/2024 12:01

Overtheatlantic · 28/02/2024 11:45

Why are you trying to pick a fight?

Those who generally pick fights are mostly being very low key on these threads. That suggests to me that they also get a sense of this whole thing being incredibly odd.

My money is still on Kate having said that she wants to bail. And as a previous poster said, that is actually the most benign explanation for the weirdness. So I really do hope that that's it. It would almost certainly be the healthiest option for herself and her children. Much less good for the institution which would be highly likely to suffer terminal collateral damage - it's in a bad shape at the moment.

Unusually, I have some sympathy at the moment for William too. If he wanted to abdicate, there really is no obvious heir assuming he doesn't want to pass the burden to George.
