Harry left Heathrow just after 1pm. Are we certain he only arrived at Clarence House at 3.20 - over is that just when it was reported? It shouldn’t take that long to head down the M4.

He had a long flight which was delayed by weather conditions.

Tte man can’t get a break from the royalists baying for his blood.

I think the diagnosis is worse when he arrived back quickly.

It's an open secret that Camilla threw the other royals (especially Harry) under the bus to the press on a constant basis to prevent them publishing negative stories about her. She felt like she had to do it to prevent her being the evil one because Diana was loved so much. And it's worked, because she has a much better reputation than she otherwise would have.

I don't like her - she was laughing and smirking at Lindsey Hoyle's northern accent during his words at the coronation.

So if you hate Harry/Meghan today, it's because you've been manipulated by decades of media control. If you notice, there are never any negative stories about her.

Even though it was in exceptionally bad taste to originally choose Paris as the first foreign city to visit as queen.

Agree with every word!

Mirabai · 06/02/2024 17:30

His dad and minions ripped Diana to shreds, used any opportunity to trash her in the press. Isn’t he just following his father’s footsteps?

Well you'd think he'd have learnt blabbing to the media is not a good idea?

😂what’s with the we. its not a hive mind. Anyways he literally was photographed being driven through the gates, so yes folks are certain.

i have no idea why folks are now making this about bloody harry . The man and his wife have caused that family so much pain, hurt,,stress and upset. It’s not about Harry, who was quite happy to attack for money and didn’t give a shit about his fathers feelings whilst he was at it.

My Royal reporter tells me he was being frisked in the airport for drugs as he's a known user, also he had to take time out to get wired up by Netflix.

I am not a royalist, but just saying that he may have asked to come at that time even though he knew his father needed to go somewhere.

People are reading things into the length of visit, when it may have been mutually agreed.

Propertylover · 06/02/2024 17:38

Clearly some posters have been lucky enough not to have a family member in ill health.

Many people who are unwell find a lengthy visit tiring.

Gonnagetgoingreturnsagain · 06/02/2024 17:38

@mayorofcasterbridge I know but their hands were kind of forced I think now. I’ve been like most H&M haters and have followed that blindly which is a fault, but now, with Harry rushing back and thinking on bits of Spare he wrote, I think he’s been unguided on what he wrote and who he spoke to, but none of us here have any idea of how he’s been treated really just what he and the media put out.

It is certainly true that whatever Harry does in the case will be wrong - not coming : bad, coming here: bad. He has made his choices though in the past so should expect this.
It is so interesting though to see the range of attitudes displayed by many on the Royal Board - soooo many new names turning up to show their concerns.

I'm no Royalist or Harry hater but I suspect he dashed over now because next week he and MM are due in Canada for loads of charity stuff and if he's seen to be visiting his father beforehand it will stop the bombardment of media questions at their events. Unlike here, with the Royal rota minding their ps and qs, reporters in the States and Canada will have no compunction about screaming questions in his face TMZ-style. Him visiting now should take the sting out of it.

Absolutely, likely they thought they’d have longer, a couple of hours, but flight delay changed that. And the helicopter already booked, and as said, I suspect Charles is feeling proper exhausted and shit after his treatment and needs to rest.

if Harry cared so much he’d have apologised to his father, brought his kids to see him, and not attacked in thr first place.

I tell you what though, if he doesn’t get this sorted now, Harry is toast and William won’t be having a bar of them and quite rightly, Harry needs to rely on his fathers love to get him back in. I’m sure Charles and William’s evening meetings recently have discussed what to do about him.

What's your point? Are newcomers supposed to apply to be vetted first before we dare to comment?

'It is certainly true that whatever Harry does in the case will be wrong - not coming : bad, coming here: bad. He has made his choices though in the past so should expect this.'

I think he could've got it right, just leave it a few days until its off the front pages. To arrive the day after it's been announced seems unnecessarily dramatic. Ring your df, visit in a week or so.

Doesn’t seem to have done Charles any harm on the long run.

Well that certainly seems to be the case for anyone who doesn’t have positive things to say about H&M. Lots of innuendo about new posters and name changers. Sauce for the goose.

Propertylover · 06/02/2024 17:47

I don’t understand why anyone who has never met KC, QC, W,CL,H or M would hate them. Disagree with what they have said or done, not like them is understandable but hate.

The media has always been focused on ££££ and conflict sells.
Honest balanced reporting is hard to find.

I’ve typed a response further up this thread. If you’re a 10 hour flight away from your DF, you’re sort of estranged (we’re guessing here) from your DB and step mum, and only RF officials or other relatives who speak to you are in touch with you, wouldn’t you hop on a plane at the first chance you get out of concern? Who knows what he’s been told? And as I also said Megan would’ve encouraged him to go asap. Harry must’ve had to cancel any other work he had on at last minute or as others said he knew a couple or a few days ago, the media are all over him like catnip so they’d report on whether he farted or not.

If it was my dad of course I’d go straight away. If he didn’t the haterz would say he didn’t care was cruel etc. There is no “right” time for him to show up.

themessygarden · 06/02/2024 17:55

That makes total sense, it could have put a very negative PR spin on the trip to Canada, "you can come here but couldn't visit your ill father." So a quick trip to the UK gets that negativity out of the way. 😏

diddl · 06/02/2024 17:58

It was probably planned as a short first visit.

Harry's had a long flight, Charles has started cancer treatment.

They might have just wanted a quick hello & then both off for a nap!

Ratsoffasinkingsauage · 06/02/2024 18:02

It’s not being a hater to point out that he wrote a tell all book that said many quite caustic things about close family members and revealed personal details they wouldn’t have wanted made public. If he were my brother I would refuse to see him (as we refuse to see DH’s mad mother)

This (unfortunately for him) is the consequence of his decisions. He can’t complain if his family doesn’t want to see him based on his utter betrayal of them.

Bouledeneige · 06/02/2024 18:08

BBC report no plans for Harry to meet William whilst over here.

mrsmingleton · 06/02/2024 18:10

Isn't the story from the solo interview that Harry would love a reconciliation but would need an apology?

I thought he'd abandoned the apology demand (just as well, he's not going to get one AFAICS).

And we're done.
