Hopefully Harry and his dad will get to spend time together.

Harry is dammed what ever he does. If he didn’t come he would be ripped apart for that. He comes and guess what he gets ripped apart for that.

MaturingCheeseball · 06/02/2024 17:02

What is the matter with some people? Horrible language and twisted views. Once again it’s poor young Harry - even when his father may be terminally ill Angry

I mean it would be funny if H was spotted at Heathrow returning to LA after his 20min chat... he's just tone deaf isnf he. His dad isnt on deaths door surely a zoom chat would've sufficed.

So... let me get this right. A son is not allowed to see a father who has a cancer diagnosis.

Got it.

I don't think he is one bit frail! I think he's pretty good for his age!

From all reports HM's very fit and takes lots of exercise; hates being indoors and gets out whenever he can, hence the weatherbeaten face.

Isn't Highgrove part of the Duchy of Cornwall?

Yes it is, which means William now gets the say

Not sure why there's an outcry over Harry "only getting 20 mins with his dad" though - maybe let's wait and see if he follows C&C to Sandringham?

Southdweller · 06/02/2024 17:04

So Harry and Meghan are so concerned about Charles health, they still refuse to bring his grands children to meet him. Yes all about the optics for the has-beens.

Idontpostmuch · 06/02/2024 14:03

The 'poor old queen' lived through her uncle's abdication and very soon afterwards WW2. Stresses that would have made the cares you highlight seem trivial.

She was a very young woman then, fit and healthy. It's more difficult when you're a nonagenarian with failing health!

I agree. I wonder if they'll bring the children to their Invictus event in Whistler next week.

Laiste · 06/02/2024 17:06

Noooo he'll have landed and gone there and said hi dad, travel safe, i'll see you tomorrow at Sandringham for the rest of the week.

He's probably got a mate or two to see or a family member.

It kind of depends whether or not his dad wants to see him ?

RoyallyRhubarb · 06/02/2024 17:07

Harry was last seen chasing Their Majs down the corridors shouting “Lend us a fiver. Or make it a tenner while you’re at it” with Charles muttering under his breath “Get all those counterfeit Scottish twenty pound notes out from under the bed and pay him off that way. And remember, it didn’t come from us”

MaturingCheeseball · 06/02/2024 16:57

I heard on good authority and it has been echoed - that Harry wanted Windsor Castle. This was when he was pressing for some sort of equal partnership with William. Similarly he wanted his wedding to be at Westminster Abbey/St Paul’s. Anyway, the Queen soon scotched that plan.

Also I understand Harry was to have Highgrove after the King’s death. Who knows, he may still.

Highgrove belongs to the Cornwall Dutchy so won’t be left to anyone as it’s not theirs to leave.

Plus Charles will leave everything he owns to William. Sovereign to Sovereign transfers attract zero inheritance tax so everything goes to the new one.

So even if Harry/Anne/whoever is getting use of something, it will be legally left to William.

Lochroy · 06/02/2024 17:07

Whatever your view point on this, whomever you support/like/don't like/comment on and so on, you must agree IT'S A BIT ODD for Harry to arrive from LA and KC to leave so quickly afterwards.

Did Harry bowl in regardless of having been told KC would be off shortly? Had KC already made the plans to go and wouldn't alter them? Did they have to get the helicopter to Norfolk before darkness?

Surely they'll be meeting up again though?

MaturingCheeseball · 06/02/2024 17:08

I reckon Harry will be off to Sandringham.

I wonder what William thinks?

Lol

Janetime · 06/02/2024 17:09

I suspect Charles held off to see Harry, before he left for Norfolk , but the helicopter was booked, maybe wanted to go before dark. Folks need to remember Charles started treatment yesterday. Likely radiotherapy, as it is outpatient, so he is potentially not feeling well at all today, and spending time with Harry could be very emotionally draining and upsetting for him. Harry has caused him a lot of pain.

I suspect depending on how Charles feels. There maybe another visit though. Ie Harry will pop up to Norfolk. It’s a long way to come to see your dad for 10 mins.

What an absolutely terrible father he is.

Edited because I read 14 as 11. Dense moment.

goodbyestranger · 06/02/2024 17:09

I certainly hope Harry joins Charles at Sandringham.

He should've maybe thought about this when he was selling tales of his family to the highest bidder. Shame he hasn't found time to see him in the last 2yrs.

Of course he can speak to his df, dramatic dashes from LA are typically ott though.

Anyway I'm sure he will see his DF at Sandringham, his df seems to want to rise above his whines and to be the better person generally.

MaturingCheeseball · 06/02/2024 17:08

Publicly - my dear brother has arrived from afar to support Papa.

Privately - fucking Harry's here.

Roussette · 06/02/2024 17:11

This is what would've been said on MN if he'd brought the children over.

How dare he, he's making it all about him
He's only done this because he's after more money in the Will
How could he, when Charles is poorly, to bring his children over, he's shameless to use his children like this

And so on. Yet he's being criticised for not doing this, give me a break lol

Puzzledandpissedoff · 06/02/2024 17:11

Surely they'll be meeting up again though?

If they do we'll probably hear about it, since the media will doubtless be hanging around Sandringham salivating over Harry's possible arrival

Delphigirl · 06/02/2024 16:57

So why not give him a seat in the bird? Why not stay long enough to have a cup of tea and a bloody cucumber sandwich?

Presumably because the trust between them has irrevocably broken down? The King loves his wife deeply - the same wife that Harry has chosen to publicly denigrate and vilify time and time again. Who could blame her for not wanting him to even step inside their home? If she was a woman who posted on MN that her SIL had been slagging her off to all and sundry, the unanimous verdict would be to tell him to get to fuck, cancer diagnosis or no cancer diagnosis.

Thedrownedprophet · 06/02/2024 17:12

Harry can't win. If he'd stayed in LA, this thread would have branded him heartless.

It's definitely odd that KC was out the gap after less than half an hour.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he does go it’ll be on the helicopter.

I believe they can land in the grounds and leave the chopper unseen, just like they got on it unseen at Buckingham palace.

In many ways that would be rather amusing, seeing all the reporters stood outside BP saying “but where did Harry go? He went in and never came back out”
